This is hands down the best school I could have sent my child to. My son has been attending for just short of two years. This is his fifth grade year. Last year I knew the school and the teachers were special based on how they treated my son and the rest of those children. However, this year when I began to listen to their curriculum and the interactions the teachers had with the students, I knew they were the one for our family. The teachers treat the students with dignity and respect all while being firm. The curriculum is so much more versed than any I’ve experienced or that our son had experienced. Culture, race, application of reason and logic in mathematic terms, science that engages the children, etc. Overall NTA and the staff are professional and are truly like family. Laidler, Khaleel, Radcliffe, Martin, Grantman are my favs! But I’m biased. Send your kids here they’ll get a quality education in a diverse setting.

Some of NTA students attended a performance of Percy; the Lightening Thief at the Oriental Theater tonight where I was ushering. There was a large group with chaperones that filed into the theater and were seated. I wanted to let the school and parents of these children know that I was very impressed with their conduct throughout the performance. They enjoyed it yet were respectful of the other patrons attending the show. Good job parents and Staff! I hope to see them again soon at another show.

I attended NTA from fourth grade to eighth. They do have helpful resources and seemingly friendly staff. However, the kids arent friendly. ( Had to deal with them for years.)

My children have been attending this school for 3 years. When I first transferred them, I immediately liked the school. The staff are very friendly and I saw an example of how much they care. The teachers are very caring and they talk to the children with care and understanding. I love this school.

Its a really good school because Ive been there sure the kids have problems but its just an awesome community

Ive been going to NTA since kindergarten and Ive loved the school ever since. Definitely deserves a 1+ rating.

This Level 1 school should be modeled within CPS! It is a safe environment, the administration and teachers are amazing, and the parent community is a very strong group with a great deal of passion and care for all of the children! Parents and teachers know most every child by name! And the resident mayor of NTA Mr. JP is a great example and caregiver for all of the children there. Whether my child tested into the RGC or not, I would definitely send him to this school because he would academically excel, would be taught to be a good person, and would be nurtured by the staff. So glad that I found this gem!

TheftAfter attending several weeks of adult swim class. I was the victim of theft at this location. Someone broke into a personal storage locker I was using that I had secured with a lock. I checked the lock and the door before leaving the locker room. When I returned 90 minutes later the locker was open with the lock in place.Someone broke into the locker with the lock still intact. After talking to staff members I learned that this location suffered from weekly acts of theft. I am currently trying to get the park district to repay me for the stolen items.Several employees informed me that lockers with locks are broken into regularly at this location. The park district will not inform you that this location suffers from high levels of theft.

Um I go to nta and I feel like y’all trying to take are school y’all must be mad about something that we are the number 1plus school and we are better than other schools but it is not our fought that we are doing are job of being great and better than other schools

I love this school it have a big lunch room , 2 big pools , a really big gym and they food is amazing . I will recommend going to this school

NTA is now home to CPS RGCs. Although, my son is getting a good education, I am constantly annoyed by their security policies.
