Covid did a number on my childs educational experience and motivation. And then we found an antidote: Greenfields Academy. This micro-school has a focus on the Socratic method, letting students uncover their own motivation and desire to learn. The project-based learning style is truly unique in that it supports skill-building in so many areas, including social-emotional, creative thinking, and taking responsibility for your actions and ideas.

Greenfields Academy is truly an amazing place. My sons experience has been so positive. The culture of the kids and the staff is so supportive and safe. He has grown in confidence as a person. Since being at Greenfields he now loves going to school. Greenfields allows him to flourish by following his passions, and this has encouraged him to want to learn about more things, all while developing more skills academically, in problem-solving, and socially. My wife and I could not be happier with Greenfields Academy. Our older daughter has thrived at the school. At first I was a bit apprehensive about sending her to a school with a non-traditional approach to teaching, one that was vastly different from my own school experience, which involved lots of rote memorization of facts. I have been happily surprised. I am convinced that my daughter knows much more about the world than I did at her age. Most importantly, she is confident and happy, and her intellectual curiosity and creativity are supported and encouraged on a daily basis by the caring and diligent guides (teachers) and other staff at Greenfields. She is also developing the skills she needs to be adaptable and resilient in a fast-changing world. We look forward to having our younger daughter follow in her sisters footsteps at Greenfields Academy.

Our daughter started attending Greenfields at the start of her 7th grade year, during Covid. Her guides were the perfect combination of supportive and direct. She is flourishing under the expectations for self-directed work and constructive engagement in a learning community. We couldnt be happier.

My two children have found a love of learning and excitement for school at Greenfields Academy! They are making great progress academically, but I am even more appreciative of the focus on social-emotional learning that is infused throughout the schools approach. As an educator myself, this is the learning experience I wish every student could have and hope to see the school grow and expand!
