I found Matt and his lessons on line at Youtube. His on line lessons are well formed and he takes the time to make sure what he is presenting is clear and easy to follow and learn. I’ve learned tons of songs from matt from youtube and he really has a skill for teaching. his video quality is also very good and is important if you can’t learn in person like me. i like how he explains each chord shape with the name as well while saying what strings are open or pressed down, it really makes it easy to learn. matt also connects with the player by letting them know that he can reach out to him for tabs if they still don’t get it. if your looking for a great teacher, matt is definitely your guy hands down.

Matt is an excellent teacher. We use an online lesson platform with him and at first I was a little worried it wouldn’t work so well, but it has been awesome! I am so happy to say it has been a wonderful surprise and has made life a little simpler for my large family. I would definitely recommend taking lessons with Matt.

After Matt Browns YouTube lesson on a song I have been learning, I asked him a question in the comment section. The problem was about strumming a pattern that I have been struggling to understand. Matt quickly answered and said, send me your email and will send you the transcription. I wasted no time and sent him my email. Not only did he send me the breakdown of the strumming pattern, he sent me all the details of the song! I liked that he was so responsive, resourceful, and willing to help me without asking for money in return. Matt is the kind teacher that makes guitar players and the world a better place!

Pretty good teacher, I get most of my lessons from YouTube and Matt brings it down to the tea, the tutorials sounds just like the songs, I asked for a set of tabs for a solo and he quickly gave them to me, really helped👍👌

I took lessons with Matt for about 5 months. Came in as a brand new guitar player and can now play just about anything with a little practice. Matt was super responsive and attentive and helped me find music I enjoyed while challenging my skills level. I highly recommend Matt as a teacher, even in social distance era -- zoom lessons work just fine!

Matt is a great teacher. Helps players of any level understand the song in a way that makes it easier to play. Doesn’t bore students with long, drawn out monologues, but explains the important details without getting too deep in the weeds. And his song choices are great.

I’ve been taking lessons from Matt for about 8 months and he is just fantastic! I went from effectively not knowing how to hold a guitar to changing strings, playing relatively complex chords and enjoying my new hobby. He is really flexible in terms of the songs in your progression, creating simplified versions of songs and artists you actually like. He is encouraging while still providing useful feedback that helps you improve. I cannot say enough good things about him!

Matt is very knowledgeable in both theory and trivia behind songs. He’s able to break songs down into smaller parts and make them easier to digest, I’d recommend him to a brand new player or even a seasoned guitar veteran.

Matt is an excellent teacher when it comes to Nirvana. As a die hard Nirvana fan who started learning guitar roughly a year or so ago, Matt made the process fairly easy with his guitar videos. The song I remember most clearly is Floyd the barber he is excellent to learn from with a large collection of Nirvana and other groups.

He has so many Nirvana lessons (which I like the most, Im a Nirvana freak) and many others, just sitting there in his channel, and you can be taught for free! I have taken lessons with Matt off and on for about a year now. I started as a total beginner. In just a few months, I was playing some of my favorite songs and writing some of my own! I never thought that I would advance as much as I have. That just goes to show how great of a teacher Matt is. Hes a really patient and kind person, but you can always count on him to tell you what you are doing wrong or what you could be doing better. Im always asking what should I be doing to get better? Matt always has an endless for me to work on! haha! Something else I feel like I should say is that lessons with Matt are always fun. I first started practicing about a half an hour a day, but now Im up to an hour or sometimes two hours. The more I learn, the more I want to play. :)

Matts lessons are fantastic, he takes things slow to the point where its perfectly comprehendible but not too slow so that its a drudge to get through, but still not so fast that you easily get lost. I emailed him about a transcription for a solo and he got back to me faster than I couldve possibly expected and was so polite in his response that I was genuinely taken back a little.

Matt played for our daughters wedding and we couldnt have been happier with the results. His acoustic guitar playing before the wedding ceremony set just the right tone and filled the church with beautiful music. Matts playing gave a jumpstart to a glorious evening.

Dude kicked out the best instruction available online for a song Ive been trying to learn, then graciously emailed me the tabs for it, which are the most accurate and pro tabs for this song Ive found - after hours of searching online. Solid.
