We love Music House! Our daughter is in the Music Together class in Humboldt Park and it’s been a fabulous experience participating as a family. Ashley, who runs the HP location is super friendly and helpful. Christina, who teaches the class, is lovely. She is so enthusiastic and engaging with kiddos from little babies to toddlers to older siblings. In class, the kids (and parents) sing, dance, and use all sorts of instruments. Outside of class, our daughter also sings all the songs and they give you a CD of the music if you want to play it at home, in the car, etc. It is also clear that as much as this class is super fun, it’s also laying the foundation for the kids to play music or be music enthusiasts – while having fun, you are also calling out rhythm and tonal patterns, harmonizing, encouraged to improvise etc. There is a ton out there in terms of classes for kids in the city, but we think this one is more than worth the cost and we intend to keep Music House classes in our routine for the foreseeable future. Finally, this is a local and family run business that is doing great things in our public schools and communities to expose kids to music and the arts and we are thrilled to support that mission. We first heard about Music House through our daughters previous school. She took after school violin lessons with MH (and then a dance class on the weekends). Ashley and her team are great - they are passionate, enthusiastic and patient with the kids.In addition to the lessons, they are live savers during CPS closings. Not just the know school closings, but also emergency closings. When it was announced last week that schools would close due to weather, an hour later, we got an email saying Music House would be offering a day camp. Super affordable and my daughter always has a great time.Weve also used the space for a birthday party recently and it was a great experience. Theyre very laid back and flexible about what kind of party you want to have, they took care of the decorations, activities and clean up.Were so lucky and happy to have Music House in our neighborhood!

Amazing commitment to teaching kids music and dance through fun methods. Ms Allison and Ms Ashley are extremely talented and engaging kids in music and they have an incredible staff.

I want to thank the entire Trumbo family and music house staff for shaping my kids musical talents. They truly have been committed to growing the gift of music in each of my kids and I can honestly say that their lives have been enriched because of our partnership. Thank you Trumbos!!!!

What a great neighborhood resource! My daughter enjoys the day camps, dance classes,and is getting a solid musical foundation from her Suzuki violin lessons!
