So happy to have found this gem. Loving staff, amazing open space design, great food options, and easy to communicate with. Will be forever grateful for their team, especially during 2020. Couldnt recommend more.

Im writing an update-review since the COVID pandemic so rudely interrupted things last year! Weve been back at Meaningful Milestones now since August or so (about 8 months), and our toddler continues to absolutely love it, and so do we! There is so much to appreciate: the consistent communication, the inviting and spacious physical space, the creative and healthy meals; the knowledgeable and loving staff, the nurturing of the childrens social and individual growth. Our daughter is thriving! MM values culturally responsive strategies for teaching and care, and the director is active in all kinds of community advocacy and mutual aid and such; these aspects are also really important to us and another reason we are so happy with our choice.

As a parent and a former child educator for seventeen years I am seasoned at truly knowing quality and AUTHENTIC, empathetic child care facilities when I visit one. One of my nephews and a very good friend of mines children were students/ clients of a childcare program run under the supervision of a fabulous staff that has now transitioned to a new location; Meaningful Milestones. I had the joy of seeing for myself the genuine, nuturring care that was ALWAYS exuded by the director and her staff whenever I would visit or pick up my nephew. Sometimes my visits would be announced or unannounced, by the spur of the moment because I am extremely present and support all of my nieces and nephews and help whenever I can. The teachers that have transitioned to Meaningful Milestones are awesome in their own right. Because I too have worked in the capacity to care for others children, there are certain qualities I look for and can feel that helps me and my family/ friends make decisions about where to place their precious cargo for child care needs.With that said, I have visited Meaningful Milestones recently and I attended a recent Playground event. The facility is HUGE, state of the Arts amenities; interactive learning walls throughout, COLORFUL and vibrant. Little people, eye level engagement EVERYWHERE! The event was phenomenal! My nephew and the other children that attended literally ran with their coats on right into all the activities! The staff was extremely interactive and very nuturring and PERSONABLE! More than that, I could see and feel the warmth of the teachers that were interacting with the children there. One teacher was reading a story to the children and the way she was reading; her tone had such a relaxing quietness to it and the children were engaged. The event was well thought out as there were multiple activities for the children- book reading,computers, finger painting, personalized hat making, authentic child work that the children drew on the table cloths, the interactive cash registers, and play houses that help develop coordination and motor skills, but one of the facilities hidden gems that you wont know about unless you visit is their gym room that houses a huge play area for many sport activities, baseball training, soccer, jump rope, volleyball. The list goes on and on.The children could not get enough of this area. At one point, all of the children were in this location and would not leave until this event had ended.One last note, Id like to add that I heard and witnessed; I was walking pass a perspective parent who was engaged with the teacher who will be the INFANT teacher, this mom had a little boy on her hip who obviously was shy, and very attached to his mom, while the mom and teacher were speaking, the teacher was gazing into the little boys eyes, engaging him- showing him and making him feel warmth, an openness and before it was all over, he was off that hip, engaged, playing with other kids. This is the kind of nuturring, and affection that can not be taught, it is developed over time with genuine experience! My nephew and my friends children will be attending Meaningful Milestones because WE will know with solid , total piece of mind that all of our children will be taken care of; heart, body, soul and mind! What I saw by the staff was a juggernaut of love and childcare experience. Parents- I tell you, visit Meaningful Milestones for yourself and see. You WILL want to enroll your children, I guarantee it.

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about MM. Our daughter had been there a year before we had to move. Leaving was extremely tough because of the love and sense of community MM had bestowed upon our family. It is obvious from the beginning Ms Jimia and all of the teachers care deeply for the children. They kept our daughter safe, helped nurture her sweet and silly personality, and guided her through her milestones - which were all ahead of pace! I would highly recommend this daycare. We will greatly miss you MM!!

A hidden gem of a daycare in the east Avondale/Logan square area! Our son has been in the toddler room since September and we couldn’t be happier. He has skyrocketed in his confidence, language, social and play development. They have done a wonderful job with covid protocols and doing their best to keep everyone safe and healthy during these difficult times. We are so thankful for his teachers who really are so invested and clearly love what they do. As a bonus, it is one of the much more affordable options in the area. Our newest little guy will be starting there later this year. Highly recommend!

We enrolled our young toddler at Meaningful Milestones because we are impressed with the knowledge, warmth, and passion for child development and child learning evident in Jimia and the rest of the staff. The teachers are very loving with the children and communicative with parents. It is also huge to us that the staff is also happy and caring of each other.Our daughter loved going -- so much so that she never wanted to leave at the end of the day! We were so happy with the whole situation. Unfortunately she only got to go about a month before we had to all shelter in place because of the pandemic. She misses Meaningful Milestones SO MUCH! Its so sad!Jimia and Mia have stayed in touch during the shelter-in-place via email with daily ideas to do at home, which in this difficult time for small businesses and especially for a business like a daycare, is a very appreciated extra mile to go.

My twins started here at 11 months old after being kept at home by their grandmother. As a mom, it was difficult for me to trust my babies with complete strangers but Ms. Jimia and the teachers here soon became like a part of the family. My babies were initially very clingy and attached to my hip but opened up and we watched as their personalities blossomed. The facility is large and stays cleaned. The teachers believe in actually teaching and learning even at the earliest age to help the children developmentally as well. Their loving, nurturing atmosphere also helps to not only ease the kiddos but also the parents! I was so happy to have found them! My twins have recently turned two and through the daycare‘s transition into Meaningful Milestones, they continue to support and nurture my little ones. If you’re on the north side, do yourself a favor and check them out. You’ll fall in love!
