I loved this school from the start my daughter started here in kindergarten a few years back. After leaving and coming back the school is still great. I love the teachers and staff and how they share their love with the children. I love the learning they give and the commitment the give to children in their school and community. All in all this school is great and they really help bring out the best in children every day. As parents and as a community I believe we should push ourselves to help the school in anyway we can be better than they were the next day. Outstanding school. I love the staff. Everyone is very helpful in making sure the kids are on the right track. The thing I love the most is BE KIND day. The big kids there are a BIG influence on the smaller kids and they do a good job at showing them awesomeness.

I hated this school.They didnt like me because I wouldnt do the Hail Mary prayer for it was against my religion. Other than that the food was good.

Academy of St. Benedict the African has been amazing to my kids and I. We came into this school 2 years ago and I could not be more grateful for the way that the teachers and staff welcomed my children and I with open arms. I love how the school offer before care being that I a working parent . My kids love it here! Thank you for all that you do for our children!! You guys are awesome!!

Academy of St Benedict is a great school. I love the structure,curriculum and foundation of the school. They are very warm welcoming as soon as you enter the door. They offer music,art,dance,choir,breakfast,and before and after school. The children there are very respectful and polite.

My daughter began this school year in 4th grade. She transferred from a school she attended since kindergarten and she had transition issues. The staff and administration were very receptive and accommodating to her needs. They went out of their way to make her feel welcome and included. She now has new friends and is in choir and dance.

I am a proud parent of a honor student at the Academy of St. Benedict the African. I have two daughters that graduated from Academy of St. Benedict and have always been pleased with Academy of St. Benedict. If there is a problem, there is always a solution in place. I appreciate Ms.Murphy and the staff at Academy of St. Benedict for their commitment to excellence. My daughter will be graduating this year and afforded an opportunity to go to one of Illinois top high schools. If you are looking for a school that offers spiritual and academic growth, Academic of St. Benedict is definitely the school to choose.

Academy of St. Benedict the African is an awesome school! The teachers and staff are all so involved in whats going on with the kids! My children have only gone here for 1 year and they love it! They instill excellent values in these children and it definitely shows. I could not have asked for a better experience! This was my daughter first year at this school in kindergarten, and I have enjoyed this years experience with them. The kids at the school are well mannered and the teachers are nice. I like how her teacher reaches out and cares about the concerns of my child’s education. We will be returning next school year. Thank you ASBA for a great school year

This is a great school to have your children attend. The staff is great and works with you. My kids come from school everyday and says great things. Highly recommend this school to anyone.

@Nancy Samborski. What is the point of posting about what one of their drivers did (assuming thats true)? If you genuinely wish to make a change, why not report to the authorities of the school, instead of trying to defame the school on social media? Talk about the quality of the learning received (or given). In charity, I think it is not right to tag everything black as bad. There are so many good black people out there; lets learn to talk about them also. Blacks in this country need support and encouragement.

My daughter been going to this school for 5 years. They taught her so much and especially how to be responsible. They have great teachers and staff. They have alot of activities and programs to keep your children busy and active. They also really do care for your child learning, if they see something wrong or if your child not catching on as fast as they should. They will do anything in there power to figure out the problem, so if can be fix as soon as possible.

I have 3 children have attend this school for 2year in I love that the school is family oriented and they have before and after care since my wife usually start work at 7am

Academy of St. Benedict has been apart of my family lives for generations under the leadership of Ms.Murphy. I would recommend the A.S.B.A to all parents. The classroom settings and safe environment is what I wanted for my children. There was never a doubt in my mind when I became a parent that my children would attend A.S.B.A as my siblings and I did. The staff is AMAZING and is always available to communicate with parents about any concerns they may have. Again, I would recommend A.S.B.A to any parent looking for a private school setting that offers the tools to lead your children to greatness.

I highly recommend children to attend ASBA! ASBA help my children develop a love for learning. All of the teachers are so kind to each child, truly encouraging each to their strengths. Both of my children have thrived under the direction of teachers at ASBA. My children LOVE their teachers and LOVE to attend school.

My family and I love being at the Academy St. Benedict the African. When my son started, he was very shy and very reserved. Fast forward two years later (present day 2019), he has opened up more and has learned so much! This is not only a school but a community and family. The teachers, staff, and volunteers provide the best mentorship, teachings, and care for anyone who comes through the door of ASBA. They made sure my son continued his speech services each year. I am even given progress updates so I know where my son is and any goals we can work on at home as well. His teacher, Ms. Pannell, is the B.E.S.T, as well as the assistant teachers/volunteers. The staff have also worked with me and other families with tuition financial support. The school has ways to be active in your childs learning and in the school as well (carnival, seasonal & cultural assemblies, etc). If you want your child to be in a caring environment, explore through in and out of class activities, expand his or her minds, and have a peace of mind. My children have been in this school since Kindergarten and Pre-K, they are now in 8th and 4th. This school has helped my son elevate from an average student to a honor student through programs such as Title 1. Both my children enjoy the school and staff, as do I. There are many schools in our area that we pass everyday but none like ASBA. We our so proud to be apart of the Tiger family.

I attended this school in the 80s,at that time it was called St.Raphael. I remember it being a very strict school. I loved all my teachers, Mrs.Aspell(mightve spelled her name wrong) and Mrs.Finley were my favorite and Mrs Sharon in the cafeteria..Cant leave out Sister Kathleen,she kept that paddle with her! Omg.. Cant believe I still remember these people..so many Good memories that I will carry with me throughout life.

I have 2 children whom graduated and another coming out next year. I have piece of mind knowing that my children are safe.

+Nancy Samborski, I may only be 14 year old freshman who graduated from this school, but what you said is very false there were only three field trips were taken. I was on all three of them. There was also not a storm present at those times...

Does all your drivers speed during a storm. I saw two of the busses filled with kids speeding and cutting people off
