Great School for my daughter because she can teach herself so that just prepares her for college. My son is a little more challenging and doesnt learn the same way ..I wish teachers didnt label and where willing to work with students vs giving up on a child..I am happy that I continue to be involved with his education so that they will do their job otherwise you will find teachers in hallways texting instead of teaching or handing out packets of paperwork instead of working with your child! Every child would be left behind if was up to some of the younger teachers my son has had 3 great teachers and the principal that helped him was in the high school! Terrible

The only thing good about this school was the arts program. I learned nothing from this school. I currently attend Scarlet Oaks.

This school is alright at best. The food is horrid. Everything is dry and tasteless. The bathrooms are also horrid. Theyre spending money on the wrong things as well. They bought booths for the cafeteria but there are bathroom stalls without doors, the bathrooms are missing sinks, and the elevator is broken down. Also the heating/cooling system in the school building is broken as well. Some of the teachers do not care about what youre doing in class or they just dont know how to teach the class. Some teachers still have to be taught HOW to teach which is confusing. They take too many days off school for no reason because theyre trying to teach their teachers. AGS is pointless now that they have New Tech for the entire school because the AGS endorsement isnt worth that much. Its NOT worth the time to do AGS because youre waking up early to go to school for Zero Bell when the whole school is learning the same material as AGS, making it pointless to join. AGS also forces children against their will to speak in front of audiences and debate, even if they have bad social anxiety like me. Although they endorse AGS as a fun new way of learning its really irritating and repetitive because each year they change the subject of what youre learning but not they way you learn it. They also invested money into a Rowing Team when our softball team doesnt even have the right equipment and they have old uniforms which have old dried blood on it. The softball field is bad and needs new conditioning. There is also a lot of bullying in all of the Winton Woods schools. I was a victim of bullying at this school and my friend was as well. The staff says they care about the victims of bullying but they do not care at all. The coaches do not care at all anymore. The ceiling are leaking and the damage from the water leaves mold stains and its disgusting. Theres lot of bugs as well including ants, gnats, and roaches. The band needs new instruments for people who struggle to afford instruments because of how expensive they are. The auditorium needs new seats. Even with the new school theyre about to get, I feel theyre going to use the money on less important things. The trailers need extensive cleaning and gates at the bottom to keep out the wildlife such as skunks and raccoons. I will give credit to our music program and sports but the music program is paid out of pocket whereas the sports are fundraised. They also tried to say that students couldnt wear black in protest with the #BlackLivesMatter movement to school or the football games and they threatened to give out detentions and remove your homecoming rights and thats wrong because the students should have the right to express their opinions in a way thats not effecting anybody in a bad way.
