As a first time mom, the teachers went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and confident sending our daughter there. No question was too small and everyone is always incredibly responsive. We love seeing the lesson plans for the day, even for babies! This reassures me that while I know she’s still so little, she’s being stimulated and engaged with during the day. She genuinely has a smile on her face when we walk in the door and is an incredibly happy baby when we pick her up at the end of the day. I truly feel like her teachers care for her and for me, theres no greater piece of mind than that. A huge perk is the system they have in place to see what shes doing throughout the day, including naps, diapers, bottle intake, etc. The pictures that get sent periodically are the absolute BEST. Cant recommend this school enough! Really looking forward to watching her grow, with Goddard being a huge anchor to that.

Our son started at the beginning of January and everyone at the school has been extremely helpful with his transition. After being home with us since March it was tough for him to be away from us. All of the staff and teachers have been extremely welcoming and we trust that he is well taken care of. Communication has been wonderful and we love knowing what standards they will be focusing on throughout the day, and the pictures always make us smile. From the moment he walks through the front door he receives encouragement. The fact that the staff always remembers his name (without asking us) is comforting and they know exactly where he is going. As parents we cant even begin to express how much this has meant. His Toddler Room teachers have also been wonderful. Their communication is fantastic and we know that our son loves being in the classroom. Although we havent been able to actually be in the classroom (due to COVID) we have confidence that he is learning every day and is in a safe place.

We have had such wonderful experiences in the infant through toddler rooms! The teachers and administrative staff are always friendly, happy to answer any questions, and our son has so much fun at school. We have felt so fortunate to send our child to Goddard, and cannot imagine a better fit for our family.

We have been a part of the Goddard community for a little over a year now and cannot say enough about how much we love it! Our boys look forward to going every single day and feel safe, comfortable, and at home there. The facility itself is clean and they have taken extensive measures during the pandemic to make sure the faculty, students, and parents are safe and healthy. The staff is extremely caring and are very easy to reach when you have a question, etc. They also make sure they are reaching each childs needs socially, emotionally, and academically in their daily activities and lessons. Our boys love their teachers and I feel at ease knowing they are being well taken care of.

Weve been very lucky to send our son here, he seems to really enjoy his Prek room! We started during COVID so we cant see our sons room, but hopefully in the next few months we will be able to meet his teachers and go inside. The virtual tour was helpful to see the facilities, too. The school is very charming, too, with lots of outdoor play areas, and well-kept building. I get pictures and reports daily of what the kids are doing, and it has been good communication from the beginning, too with teachers and admin.

Even though their websites states that they do not discriminate against children with disabilities, that was not the case. when I first called to ask if they had any openings available they said that they did. Once they found out my child was handicapped and would require some accommodations they suddenly said they would not be able to make a spot for him, even though the Americans with Disabilities Act requires them to make reasonable accommodations and their website says they do not discriminate.EDIT: Since they dont refute it publicly in their response you can assume what i say is true (IT IS) and they can list their phone number so you can call them for damage control all they want. Doesnt change the fact that if your child is disabled and needs accommodations they refuse to make them... Which is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. All well and good for you to patronize them if you are lucky enough to be born with a healthy child... If you feel good about giving your patronage to a company that tramples the rights of those less fortunate and treats them like less deserving second class citizens.

Both of our daughters started Goddard at 18 months. One is now in 1st grade and one will leave Goddard in the fall for kindergarten. I cant imagine our girls going anywhere else! It is a wonderful community. The teachers are fantastic and the kids love it. There arent tears when we drop them off, just big waves and a see you later Dad! The curriculum goes beyond writing, reading and math. Each class has their own gardening space where they taste the food at the end of the summer. Last year our younger one and her friends grew tomatoes. They learn about community responsibility as well such as recycling and coats for kids. Each day we review the daily sheet that summarizes their day which can be anything from making ghosts with white paint and their feet to looking at an apple through a magnifying glass. I am truly going to miss Goddard next school year but there is always summer camp!

I love that you make learning fun and that the teachers really know my child. He likes learning and they give him extra projects to keep him engaged. My kid developed a love of space as a result of the classrooms discovery and projects. He would come home each day excited to quiz me to see if I knew which planet a specific fact applied to. It was demoralizing to be stumped by a 4 year old but fun to see his excitement. When I pick him up each day, he is excited to see me but doesn’t want to leave.Thank you for all you do

Anderson Goddard School is a top-notch facility. The curriculum is play-based learning and all the children are respected and treated well. Our experience there is one I still continue to talk about even though we had to move out of state. The staff is caring, dependent and one of a kind. I highly recommend Anderson Goddard School!

This is the second year for my son at Goddards summer camp. The first year was good. This last year was FANTASTIC! The kids go on field trips every day which keeps older kids from getting bored. They incorporate reading time into each day, which gave my introverted kid the down time he desperately needs in these kinds of camp. They moved over to a bigger space so the big kids dont feel like theyre in daycare. What I like the most about the camp though, is the relationship the counselors formed with my son. He always felt cared for and safe. And he came home every day with stories about the fun hed had. I would recommend this camp to anyone looking for a safe and fun place for their kids in the summer. Worth every penny!

My husband and I are thrilled to have found the Anderson Township Goddard! Whats not to like about this amazing place? My son has grown so much there, and he is meeting milestones and making discoveries like never before. I firmly believe Goddard has fostered a new sense of wonder in my son, and he seems so happy and excited to go to school each day. As a first time mom, I cant convey in words how much that means to me! There is a real sense of security and comfort in watching my son light up when he sees his teachers. It makes going to work much easier for me, for sure! My husband and I count ourselves blessed that we can rely on the fantastic Goddard staff to give our son love and encouragement while we are at work.

My daughters (2.5 years and 3 months) started at Goddard this past Spring. Teachers are genuine and friendly, and all of them, not just the ones in my toddlers classroom, worked hard to help her transition into Goddard. The teachers support and special attention made the transition a smooth one, and we are happy we made the decision to enroll them!

Being new to this community, I couldn’t have chosen a better facility to enroll my daughter. She finished her last half of preschool and is now finishing up Kindergarten in what has been such a fabulous year. I couldnt be happier with the way her Kindergarten year has gone! The staff is more than friendly, the curriculum is outstanding, and I love all the hands-on activities my daughter has been able to engage in. She has had such a great time this year and is looking forward to her second year of Summer Camp! I cant speak enough about how glad I am to be able to say were part of the Goddard family and the compassion shown by Ms. Kaitlyn and Ms. Lisa. From field trips, to in-class visitors, and even some charity work my little girl has grown up a little faster than I may like, however, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Goddard Anderson has definitely been a positive experience and I would recommend them to anyone!

We have just left Goddard Anderson after four years. This school has brought incredible value to our family! The care and love given by the teachers and staff everyday was awesome! The day to day operation and activies were well planned and seamless for the parents. I could trust my son was always safe within this school. The physical layout and size of the school is slightly small. The positive aspect to this is every student and every teacher know each other, even in other classrooms. The negative aspect is the school can get a bit loud at times. The parents also get to know each other and the children (if they choose). For us, the positive far outweighed the negative.Academically and socially my son was well prepared for kindergarten. The teachers always had a knowledge and caring for EACH students needs throughout each classroom step forward. The summer camp activities on a real yellow school bus made going to kindergarten on the bus easy. The exposure to activities and field trips during the summer camp really opened up my sons world. We will go back to the summer camp next year! All in all I would highly recommend this school!

The Goddard Summer program was incredible! They had such a variety of FUN activities for my boys. As a working parent, I would have never been able to coordinate the same schedule of field trips and experiences. Goddard took them to Coney Island, Woodland Mound, movie theaters, went grocery shopping with a budget, and even took cooking classes! I could not have been more happy with the program and the teachers. It always eases my mind knowing my kids are safe and having a ball. I absolutely plan to enroll my kids again next summer!

My daughter has loved the Goddard in Anderson since Day 1. The school is so warm and inviting and the teachers are amazing! The curriculum keeps the children engaged and having fun! She graduated from the Goddard Pre-K program and is now in 2nd grade but we come back every year for summer camp! I absolutely love the summer camp as well and so does she! I have never seen a camp that keeps the kids so active and having, all summer long with their mini camps and endless field trips! I always recommend the Goddard in Anderson to anyone that asks, and those that dont!

I wouldnt give them 1 star, but I had to. This daycare looks great on the surface, however, I wouldnt recommend to anyone. The teachers have been there for a long time and essentially run the school. If you pay them for babysitting, on the side, they will treat your child appropriately. If not, your child will most likely be mistreated. One of my childs teachers told him, and then reiterated it with me at drop off, that he needed to wear Velcro shoes or have his shoes tied in 4 knots because she is no longer tying them. He is 5. One day I picked my son up early and he was laying face down in the timeout bean bag crying hysterically with his hands covering his ears. I couldnt even get him to respond to my voice. I have never seen my child act like that. It makes my stomach ill just thinking about it! Both teachers were in the room carrying on like it was business as usual. On multiple occasions I have caught the teachers lying about situations that happened with my son. Stories change depending on who you speak to. It is so alarming that I pulled my child with no alternative care. I work full time and could loose my job, but my 5 year old is well worth it!! If you attend this school and are questioning things, you should investigate. You should ask questions. You are probably right. Trust your gut and intuition! FYI...owner solicited reviews from parents via email all the time!!Inspection Findings for THE GODDARD SCHOOLInspection Date: 02/06/2018Inspection Type: ANNUALRule Description: 5101:2-12-10 Health Training RequirementsFindings: In review of the staff records, it was determined that the requirement for the ODJFS one-hour prescribed Child Abuse Training was not met as noted in number(s) 3 below: 1. We love the Goddard School at Anderson, our daughter has been there since she was 9 months old, she went into the Infant I room with Ms Nancy and Ms Barb and I cannot say enough about the care and love they gave her, they called me anytime she wasnt feeling well and took great care and concern for her, even after hours they wanted to know how she was if we went to the Dr. The Directors, Ms Amy, Ms Bekka and Ms Tori also have taken such great care of our daughter that its hard to believe they can keep up with all the children and still be so personally involved w our daughter, they call and email, theyve help us out to the care, theyve brought things out to the car if we forgot a bottle or item, absolutely 100% best place ever to leave your child for the day. She has learned so much with the school curriculum and just the social aspect has been great for her. Now our daughter is in the Infant II room with Ms LIz, Ms Amber, Ms Nadia, Ms Lauren, & Ms Tara who we all love and soon she is transitioning to the toddler room. The teachers all know our daughter and have been in and out of her first infant room before she could walk, they would hold her and take her around the school with them, so she knows them all which makes the transition so much easier for our daughter. All of the staff knows my name, my spouses name and our daughters name. Again, I cannot say enough about the staff, the owner and the facility, all excellent. I would recommend to anyone. We are excited to move into Ms Erin and Ms Melanies room and see what havoc Addie can throw on them:) Thank you to everyone at the Anderson Goddard School.

After my sons kindergarten year, we were really trying to decide what to do for the summer. When we saw the itinerary for Goddard Andersons summer camp, it was an easy decision. Every week was packed with fun field trips, and being at the Comboni Mission during the day they had access to a large gym and field so I never worried about him being cooped up in a little classroom. What I love about Goddard Anderson the most, since my little 2 year old daughter goes there too, is that you can tell the teachers genuinely care and are so conscientious, combined with being so well-managed. The building and grounds went thru a major renovation in the past couple years thru owner Mr. Marks initiative which countered my only former concern about the school being an older building, so it now has a nicer look and feel. But what hasnt changed is that I always feel my kids are safe, because they are so well-organized, you can always get in touch with Ms. Becca or Ms. Amy, they really live their ratios (so you dont have to worry your kids arent getting enough attention or that teachers are stressed with too many children), and the teachers really have a lot of their own initiative and sense of ownership for each class, as well as so many of them being there for many years and having that great experience. Whenever I see parents visiting for the first time, I know these are things you cant see with a quick tour and I always want to take them aside and tell them how great this place is-so this was my chance to do that for new parents! Im usually very reserved with my opinions, but I feel strongly about Goddard Anderson and its been great for our family.
