Taking my girls to CFMA was one of the best decision Ive ever made for their well being! They have a better relationship with each other, they have better social skills, and are learning so much!!! Theyre more respectful and aware. Im happy I found this place! The staff is amazing and very welcoming!

Took my step-son there last year for summer and it was a blast! we only get him once a year so now he is enrolled in the summer camp program! Super exciting for him!! Great value and amazing people!

My son has been going here for over 4 years. We do the contract every year and never had a problem. Mr. Jim always make sure the kids are taken care of. Take notice of the children too they are happy to be there. Im grateful my dad found this dojo and that Mr Jim goes above and beyond for the kids. Great camp for the summer the kids get to enjoy the springs and movies and crafts along with karate classes to stay on tract. I highly recommend this establishment!

Love this place! Mr. Jim and his staff are professional, caring, and great examples for the children. 6 years Ive been frequenting this establishment and I couldnt ask for a better place for my daughter to learn what she needs to protect herself. She has received training of martial arts, respect, trust, patience, compassion, forgiveness and love for others. This institution works on all parts of a childs life. Im thankful for all Clermont Familys Martial Arts has done for my family and me.

This is a great establishment! My son goes here every day and he is very happy! Mr. Jim doesnt take any flack from anyone! I respect him and his teaching of my son! I give him 10 stars out of 5 because they wouldnt let me give him more!

Jim Shipley does an awesome job with his students. I’ve seen kids with behavioral issues go from challenging to respectful and awesome to be around.It seems like some kids no longer have respect for parents and other adults, but that’s not a problem after they spend some time with Mr Jim and his team. These kids are learning valuable life skills that will make a huge difference in the future.

My child engaged Mr.Shipley and training that seems like life training. My 12 year old son motivated my 11 year old daughter to train. My son has become more family co-operative. Excellent program.

L was a student myself some years back and l absolutely love them!!!! Mr. Jim is like a father to me and his school is the best out there!

Almost 5 years ago I took my grandson Sammy to master Jim. He was about 7 yo. I signed contracts with Master Jim and at times I needed to make changes and he has been all along gracious to accommodate me. He is a good person and an excellent martial arts teacher. He loves kids and kids love him. He helped my grandson and our family in a very grave moment of my grandsons live. My grandson spent over 4 years under Master Jim discipline. He has been a good boy thanks to Master Jim. I hope my grandson gets better with his health and I will take him back to Master Jim in a split second. Thank you Master Jim, you are a good human being and we, the Buran family, love you and will refer your Dojo to everyone we can. You are a great assets to kids and to our community! I have an 11 year old soon to 12. He began training at age 8. I have a 10 year old daughter who is now approximately8 months into training. I am waiting out my 6 year old to become a little willing and i will enroll him into this traing. Obviously i have the highest regard for Clemont Family Martial Arts instructed by Mr. Shipley. Great

I took classes here and thought everything was great in the beginning. It was fun and everyone was nice until I wanted a change and was not let out of my contract. We were told that the contract was for a year but it was never explained that it had to be canceled during a specific month in order for us to get out of it. Since that month had past, we were stuck for another year and I ended up paying for many months that I didnt take any classes. We met with the owner a few times but he kept saying he coudnt help us. If you end up in this place, just do yourself a favor and pay cash or check but dont give your creidt card information and dont sign a contract.

Highly do not recommend things place, he is all nice to you when you want to join his martial arts, but when you are in he will lie to your face betray the contact you have with them. I would choose a different martial arts place before thinking about this place.

I have observed Mr Shipley during one of his class, and I only wish I didnt live so far so I could take my son there. Mr Shipley does a great job with his students, and I would definitely recommend him.

Mr. Jim Shipley does not play by the rules that most of society conforms to. He runs a seemingly good business from the outside. However, he is very good at using his apparent smooth-talking to get families in to contracts that they have a very hard time getting out of or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, he has removed several good families from his business because of issues that do not relate at all to the children entrusted to him. My own children were kicked out of his dojang one week before my oldest was to test for her black belt. Even worse, Mr. Shipley waited until very late Friday afternoon to let us know that we needed to find childcare for the following Monday. He was often in violation of the contract we had in place for providing after-school care services for my children but, worst of all, did not use any kind of respect or consideration in contacting us last-minute. After spending nearly six years patronizing his facility, we also found out that the belt ranks he awards his students at testing are not even valid. The certificates state that they are granted by the Chung Do Kwan Association but Mr. Shipley is not even a member and my childrens hard-earned belts are not being recognized at any other local school. Please be aware that he is not affiliated with any issuing organization and this is very much like earning a college degree from a university that has gone out of business. This is a travesty to my young children who admired and tried to learn from an individual whose only intentions was to grow his business. I urge you to consider other locations before choosing Clermont Family Martial Arts Center!
