My son who is 2 and my daughter 1 both attend McCoy/Littlejohn Child care. I have nothing but nice things to say. Both of my kids are very shy when meeting new people. But they have shown care and professionalism. My son loves the daycare and he has increased in his speech ever since he started there. They are extremely good in education. He is now sounding off the letters and numbers. As for my 1 year old she has not suffered from a diaper rash ever since she started there. And I love the fact that there always doing different hairstyle on her. They really know how to make daycare feel safe and a second home.

I love this daycare. I took my children to a much larger daycare provider prior to this one and they were the worst experience for my first time utilizing a daycare. Then I tried McCoy/Littlejohn out and I really love the structure. I have been using this daycare for almost a year now. They are clean, stable, and they actually teach your children something. My 4 year old has learned to spell her name and is learning everything that she will be when she is in school. I also wanted to mention that they stayed open normal business hours during the pandemic, which was also extremely helpful for those who still work 8-5 jobs like myself. I work from home but I am not allowed to have my children there with me while I work and this daycare is 5 minutes away. They have some of the cheapest rates in town if you don’t qualify for CCCAP and the military daycares are on a waitlist.

I took my son here when he was a year and a half. He wasn’t there for a solid 2 weeks before I pulled him out of there.Every time I would pick him up from there he would be in tears, beyond upset. When I asked the teacher why he keeps crying every time I picked him up, she only told me that it was because he was “just sad.”Very shady people. Do not take your kids here. You’ll regret it.

My four-year old child was lost the first day she attended there. Yes, you read that correctly. I was notified by an adjacent elementary school that my child had been found by a bus driver just sitting on a park bench. When they finally found out who my child belonged to, the elementary school called me and relayed to me that my daughter had been found. I told them that this was not possible as my child was in daycare. I called McCoy/Littlejon about this, and they let me know my child was there and that everything was fine, a red flag was when they said I had not signed in that morning (my first day was filled with instructions on how to sign in with a pin). I called the elementary school back and they showed me a picture of my child! I picked my kid up from this elementary school and went back to inquire about the incident. They shifted the blame to my four-year old and said that it was my kid’s fault for getting on the van and that she was quiet and did not speak up. The owner laughed off the situation when we brought it up further. And when we went to withdraw her after only one day of attending, the owner was adamant of us having to forgo our initial payment as we had to honor the two week cancellation notice, even though they didn’t have to honor a best practice of looking after my child’s safety and welfare. I strongly suggest you avoid this daycare at all costs. It is better to pay a little more and know your child is safe, or to at least know the situation will get fixed and rectified instead of blame shifting to a four-year old for owner negligence. Very disappointed.

I love this daycare!! The owner is very caring and knowledgeable of each student that walks into her daycare every morning. She is always checking up on them during the day and making sure they are using all of their opportunities to learn in the classroom. I love the staff and all the effort they put into their job. I appreciate the love I have seen there. Everybody is ready to learn and grow together

I am an Army Reservist I had to come down for two weeks and they took my little one right on in! He was very happy and comfortable the entire two weeks and I was sad that we could not take the daycare center with us when we left!! It is always nice to know that even for such a short amount of time my son was well taken care of, happy, and safe! I definitely recommend this center!

Money hungry. This preschool is awful. Complete rip off. They close snow days, holidays and 3 days over Christmas and New Years when most parents still have to work. They dont adjust for the days they chose to close and Kim takes her staff on vacation, which is completely great, but still charges you for the full week that she chooses to close. I would not recommend this preschool at all.Kims first concern is not the children, its the money.I finally pulled my kids out after I lost my job because they couldnt provide care in snow days and I didnt have extra money to pay extra sitters and she took advantage of the situation to charge me late fees and even went as far as to try and charge me an extra week, which she corrected only after I went in and argued with her for 30 mins about it. Stating she was only human and makes mistakes. I would have taken that from someone I didnt think was trying to take advantage of people, but Im sure she would have gladly taken the extra $400 from me if I wasnt paying attention.I started a new job and now have to take time off work because she served me with a court date 2 days after all of this went down to pay her the money I told her I would I just needed some time to sort out my new job. She told me she had options for payment. I didnt hear any of these options, just got papers served to me. She is completely unreasonable and I do not recommend putting your children here.I wish I would have taken these reviews into account more seriously.

I am the music and performing arts teacher here and I will say this. I take music very seriously. I am a musician and producer so pretty much this is my life. As far as me being mean I have every right and reason to push these children to their full potential when it comes to music. I accept nothing less than their best. This is why we now have three successful concerts and a graduation under our belts. Youre not going to get some guy playing a guitar singing with sock puppets you are getting the real deal. Oh and truth be told no other day care is going to have a program like mine at the level Im doing it at. The children who have been in band with me can read music and play real instruments.the kids who have done dance with me have learned different styles of dance and this year we are going go to the next level for singing and instrumentation and this summer we are going to do some acting and present a play with the kids who join our summer program. Of course Im not looking for the next Beethoven but as long as they want to learn it can and will be a fun experience and once they taste the sweet taste of victory as they just not too long ago have with their Christmas concert it makes them want to keep going and improve their skills for the next event which will be this spring and one for the summer. The process might not be pretty but the end result is and if any child steps out of line yes I will discipline and take full control of my classroom. I dont put up with disrespect on any level so if that makes me mean then Im the meanest of them all. Thank you for reading :-) come back and see us real soon.

I would go somewhere else. In all honesty, this is the ONLY daycare center out of 4 that my kids have been to that they cried when I dropped them off. My 18 month old would scream and grip so tightly when I would leave her there. This is the only daycare this has happened with. Upside was that at 17 months she could count to 10 and had started potty training. However, even my 5 year old would cry too when I would leave her there. She said the teachers would slam on the tables and would come home with nothing but disappointment in herself. She would be given a list of spelling words like dinosaur (or something like that) and come home crying because she FAILED her spelling test. A FIVE YEAR OLD! She was losing her confidence in herself. She said the music teacher always told them they were bad kids. I feel as though the daycare is more about curriculum than building kids up.

What is up with the music teacher posting a review for HIMSELF?! I have heard terrible things about this place and his review only confirmed this. Yes, I am a classically trained musician and NO I wouldnt send my tiny ones into your mean hands-- I will take full control of my classroom, yeah.. Thats really how you teach children the love of learning or music. Shame and control. SMH at you people who get your ego needs met by controlling little tiny people. How dare you. Youll realize one day what a waste it was and how much you couldve enjoyed and come to love them if youd only embraced them for what they are: beautiful children!

Our 3 1/2 year old has been going here for about a month now. He has his good days and bad days, but is always in a great mood when we pick him up. He shows us all his papers from the days classes and gushes over how much he enjoys all the teachers and staff. We are so happy with how well structured this daycare is. The staff do a great job to keep us well informed about the progress of our son. Away from school, our friends and babysitter even remark on how much more socially engaged and talkative he has become.Just an update to the above post. Our son was accepted to kindergarten at a D49 school before he turned 5! The teachers were so very impressed with the knowledge he had coming from McCoy and LittleJohn! The staff at McCoy and LittleJohn are excellent caregivers and teaching professionals! Our family is so excited to know that our daughter will be attending McCoy and LittleJohn when she turns 3! Mrs. Kim and the rest of the staff.....God Bless and keep making us proud to have you in our community!

DO NOT use this childcare facility if you love your child dearly and want him/her in a loving environment. My child will never go back to this facility. I never had to deal with DHS until my child went to Mccoy & Littlejohn.
