These people are incredible. The hard work they put into their professions is truly remarkable. I am particularly fond of the dietitian who works with kids at the D11 schools with allergies and food restrictions. They are also an artificial flavor free district. That is just so respectable. Dont work for these people. They use you up and then discard you like trash. Wages are atrocious compared to the work required. On the job training is a joke, leaving many unprepared to properly prepare food for the children. They use antiquated equipment that still contains asbestos to heat and serve children food. The food is temperature abused more often than not due to their delivery system running behind. The rate of turnover is higher than the rest of the district and the leadership of the department is apathetic to the strains and concerns of the front line.Heavily bogged down by red tape, dont expect to accomplish much here. Daily bouts of frustration and feelings of neglect are common amongst the rank n file.How do I know all this? I was their area supervisor until I had a mental breakdown on the job..... just like my predecessor did.These people act really nice to your face but they will blast you in the back when youre no longer useful.Deal with these people at your own risk.
