Ive been working with John Enloe out of the Cleveland division and he has been great to work with threw my process of enrolling. Im very excited to get my new career started.

I was suppose to start track training class in 09/13/2021 at 160 driving academy. I paid half couple of weeks in advance to reserve my seat. I quit my 9-5 job to become track driver. My hope was to finish training and start driving soon. But after long boring a month and 13 days later, I got text message at 09/10/2021 @ 5:01 PM which says Hello this is Zachery your 160 Driving Academy Columbus Branch Manager. This is a reminder that your class starts on Monday for your CDL Classroom Training. Please arrive at 7:50AM at our office located at 1156 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus OH 43209 Due to Unforeseen Circumstances and a shortage of instructors on our Truck Training Yard your yard start date will most likely be until December or January. I offer my absolute sincere apologies and we at 160 Driving Academy are doing everything we can to bring in more instructors to get our training timelines back on track. If this will not work for you, you may show up on Monday at 8am and request a refund. Thanks. I really wanted to finish training asp before bad weather comes but unluckly i couldnt find any track training schools in columbus oh area that starts soon. It messed up not only my 9-5 job but also my other stuffs as well. Do you really have to attend school like this? think twice before you decide. Good luck!

Went through the schooling almost a year ago. Passed the course and got my CDL. The yard instructors and online instructors were great and deserve 5 stars. The office person Bernie is another story. Very unorganized and I have currently emailed him three times for information needed pertaining to claiming the schooling on my taxes and he is not responding. Very unprofessional of him and will be contacting the corporate office!

Hi my fellow brothers and sisters dont waste your time with 160 driving academy, poor communication, respect less . They always mishandled the students. Think before you go there your time is very important

Absolutely amazing people here there is no shortage of experience with these instructors and they give you every bit of it. Every thing is nice unless you have money on their account, after that they start very rude, if your planning to join 160 drive academy, think about it, any one going from Amazon carrier choice, I recommend you never go their. Bennie is another story, he enrolled new students lots and they have not enough truck, wait for line at yard to drive, in one truck have 5 student for For line. Me and my friend join driving class same day he choose Roadmaster I choose 160, he pass and start driving I am still waiting for exam,

The guy named Garrett has no customer care and communication with students hes unorganized and untrusted person will cause bad credit to the school. Im waiting more than a month for the yard to start, I dont recommend any person from Amazon career choice to this bad school, they only care about money if you got cash. Many students completed the online classes after are almost to finish the yard, and when you ask how this happened, theyll just say you can cancel the program after all time you put on this program, theyre not trust worthy at all.

My experience with 160 Driving Academy was exceptional. I graduated in September of year 2020, after my graduation I was still able to contact Bernie, who was extremely helpful. Bernie provided me with all the necessary information to find employment. If youre looking to pursue a career in commercial truck driving, I highly recommend 160 Driving Academy.

Came in to the program not knowing anything about trucking. I’m so glad I chose 160. Their instructors are well informed and very knowledgeable. Was able to go into testing with confidence. Would definitely recommend them.

If I was rating the school on the yard only it would have been 5 stars, communication could be better before you get to the yard but once you get to the yard it couldn’t be better. Steve, Cody, Paul, David, Brian, Kirk, Ricky, Reagan, Don and Ray. Sorry if I spelled any names wrong but I wanted to name them all because every one of them taught me something that not only helped me pass my test to get my CDL but will also help me be a better driver during my career. If you can’t pass your test with all the knowledge you will get from them all then you chose the wrong path. Lastly I’d like to tell Cody to hold on to the IOU cause one day I may be able to pay it but in the meantime splitter down before going back to 5th. Thank you all.

NEVER GO THIS PLACE.The people on this school dont care customers and they give no respect to students waiting more than a month to yard training and they push to quit one ever you ask them why its taking this long. ONE AND DONEMy experience with 160 was an interesting one for sure.... Just kidding! It was one of the best decisions Ive ever made to go there. I met some many cool classmates. Made a really good friend too. Bernie made the registering process easy, Maryanne did an amazing job teaching the classroom, Phil did an amazing job teaching the beginning process, Rick did an amazing job teaching the parallel, Steve and Paul did an amazing job teaching the 90. I enjoyed the on road part with Dave. He is very patient and teaches you a lot about what you need to know and do. I never got to talk with Cody much, but he was a great guy to talk to with any questions about the test. After a few short weeks with these guys, Ive made a new family and Im really going to miss them.

One and done, I passed the state exams on my first try this morning! I already have an interview lined up for tomorrow for a local route, and two other recruiters wanting me to drive for them as well.I’ve driven itty bitty automatic cars my whole life, so I learned how to drive a manual and a big rig at the same time. I think that actually made it easier for me in some ways, the double clutching is different from what’s on personal cars and trucks. So I didn’t have to unlearn anything. The old yard was a hot mess, giant gravel craters everywhere, on rainy days we could have taken swimming lessons just as well as driving lessons, there mud and dust everywhere... but halfway through my class we switched over to a new yard. This thing is paved and lit and fantastic, much better than before.People wise - Bernie’s been great from start to finish, he’s the admin guy. Nice guy, very responsive, on top of the details. He’s also the one who set me up with a pre-hire and a few other leads. All the instructors are great. Ray needs to work on his outside voice, he didn’t yell enough, but nobody’s perfect. They’re all no-nonsense people but laid back at the same time.It’s an easy five stars, kids. If you’re looking to get your Class A CDL give these people a shot, you won’t be sorry!

160 is very responsive and the communication from the time I applied for school was great. I spoke with Bernie and he explained the process. The classroom time prepares you for your CDL permit. The instructors in the yard work with you to make sure you are prepared for the CDL test. I had a good experience with 160 and it was affordable.

Very worse driving academy, more students less training truck, Bennie is not honest, they are not worry about they new driver how are struggling at yard but they are worry about how to get more student and make more money that all 160 driving academy do,

The school will teach you exactly what you need to know to get your CDL class A license! If you want a budget and once your class A license this is the school to go to. Its very friendly and all the teachers will answer all your questions.

One of the best in my opinion. All the trainers are very patient with you making sure you know what you need to know in the 3 weeks of training very good with language barrier. If your one that is a hard learner and need that extra help they’ll do whatever they need to get you what you need. 160 was an amazing place to experience a different part of my life as a former chef, I enjoyed all the instructors but my favorite was Kirk. Hey definitely set time aside to give me that extra push I needed when I wanted to give up .My guy little Bernie was definitely honest and upfront about everything. I absolutely LOVED this class & the instructors! They were all so great & patient! Not one of them ever made me feel like I was stupid even if I did mess up , they just walked me through every little thing. I had an amazing experience as I obtained my Class A CDL. It started with Bernie working hard to get me into the school and encouraging me to get my permit prior to class.Then, the yard time was phenomenal as they taught me each step to passing my exam.Steve, Cody, Paul, Dave, Kirk, Sophia and Reagan were top level instructors who truly cared and gave me the knowledge and confidence to use their recipe for success. This school is an unorganized joke. They put that my boyfriend went to school in Illinois instead of Columbus.

My experience with 160 was a long road. I didn’t have my birth certificate and I was born in Pennsylvania so I couldn’t get my permit immediately. They where patient with me and gave me time to get it and get back. I was then able to go to the yard and start my training. After starting training on the yard I was honestly a little intimidated because I’ve never drove anything that large. But the trainers explain everything you need to know and get you to the place you need to be. Even after starting training I ended up in the hospital for a week. They again where very patient with me and got me back up to speed. I am truly thankful for the education and training that I received and recommend that anyone wanting to pursue a truck driving career should look into 160 Driving academy! Thanks everyone for all your help!!! One and done!!!

We just went in for a initial meeting to get my boyfriend signed up and Bernie was very nice, straight forward and gave good info. This school is very affordable compared to most other schools in Columbus. ($4200 Cash if you pay up front) Classes start every Monday. I would definitely recommend this school. They also help you get a job! Even if its 6 months after!

The best school in ohio,After contacting most of the schools, 160 was the cheapest, the fastest process to start the classes.All the people are very nice, Bernie will help you to get all the information you need and start asap, instructors are very friendly, and helpful, they make sure every individual get the information and pass the cdl test.And also they will helps you to get the best job you need as soon as you finish the classes... The school is great! Every instructor know what they are doing, and teach you in detail. They even lead by example! All you have to do is do exactly what they tell you to do, and you will never fail! If they tell you to do a hard right or a hard left and hold it, then do it and you will see that it works, and you will get it everytime! I cant say enough about Steve! He is a very passionate, understanding, and a all around genuine and caring person who wants to see you succeed! Best truck driving school possible. Bernie was great with the enrollment process and would follow up throughout duration of school. Donna is a wonderful in-class instructor, even though I passed my written test I learned much more and retained the knowledge. The yard team is a highly skilled group of instructors: Phil, Terry, Paul, Jason, Cody, and Steve. If you follow their instructions and tips you will be well prepared for your driving test. The team takes an extra step to make sure you get your license, the rest is up to you. Thank you everyone!

They all are awesomeSpecifically, Bernie(office manager) is an amazing guy that he helps me as like his young brother. And all the instructors and yard manager(Steve) are really helpful. It’s good school it’s little hard to get enough time of practice specially if the students in your class are more but it’s easy to get your CDL if you listen what they tell you it’s little confusing but once you get it you will be fine and Bernie thank you soo much you make things easy man.

I had Marianne once my schedule at work changed she was great and big on the pre-trip and in cab videos in that moment I was tired of watching those videos but it helped me so much when it came to test day thank you Marianne. I knew nothing about truck driving or how to use a stick shift before going to the 160 Driving Academy. The instructors at the yard we’re all invested in my experience & made it our experience & for me that made learning there feel unbelievable. Each obstacle maneuvers & or road that I overcame, I saw the joy in their eyes & heard it in their voices, but most of all I felt the sincerity from their hearts! If you want a career in driving trucks, I suggest this school because they make you feel the joy of trucking as you learn this new career. Thank you Steve, Cody, Paul, Phil, Kirk & Dave, your collective efforts pushed me to earn my CDL, I wasn’t One & Done, but because of you all & my other support team I met thru the Urban League (Brothers United) I never gave up, that’s another reason this school is the #1 choice for future truckers if you ask me!!! They were very helpful in getting me my cdl. Instructors took the time as I had no previous experience. Great place to learn.
