School was okay but costs way too much. Please please please seek other options. Huge lack of communication from the higher ups and we were lied to about some things during my time here. Most of the teachers weren’t motivated to teach at all and didn’t really care.My grandmother actually sent these guys a $5000 check for my tuition and I’m not sure what they did with it because I still owe the money according to my student loans but the money was definitely taken from my grandmothers account. They said they can’t help me and that it’s all up to the lenders (that clearly never received the check).

I thought coming to this school was gunna be money well spent but unfortunately it wasn’t.They dont care about ur education they enforce rules more than actually teach nothing they say on their ad or on the tour is true you get professional points taken off ur professionalism without you know it or they’ll just hit u with 30 points for no reasonWatch out for some classmates not all classmates are who they say they areI WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SIGN UP FOR THIS SCHOOL go somewhere else this school is a joke

If you want to get serious about changing your life, youd be a fool to not come visit the national aviation academy. I scheduled a tour to take a look at the school and I have never felt so cared for in my life. The staff were patient, caring and you could tell genuinely wanted me to succeed from DAY ONE. I cant say enough good things about my experience with NAA. Highly recommend you go in and see it for yourself. If youre willing to put in the work and make something out of yourself you cant go wrong here.

Just so you know aviation maintenance is a great career but national aviation academy does not help you achieve that. they charge you an hour for being 5 min late and each time you make up an hour it cost you $15 which only say they out for money, secondly they give you test and exams that do not meet the standards of the FAA exam, they say its hands on but its basically 75% of classroom, some instructors are so unprofessional i could go on and on but i will let you decide i am having a terrible time here. They want me to quit but am here till the end am not giving them free money

Came for a tour. Staff was very friendly and knew a lot. I had lots of questions and they answer them all. On the tour I got to talk with current students and some of them had job offers and not even graduating yet. This school knows what it’s doing.

Came for test and was greeted with confusion and late staff. Would definitely suggest trying a different place if you want a trouble free testing experience. I was at least offered water while I waited so one star for that.

NAA is a waste of your time and money. Tried to take advantage of vets, days and days of sitting around, working on homework or, projects that should have been devoted to hands on learning, ie what every student paid for. Many students graduated but never got their A&P, still paying for all that downtime. Discouraged from using the books that help to study for the FAA tests, garbage training aids, perhaps theyve turned a new page.

Its a lot of classroom initially, and while the hands-on stuff is not exceptionally modern equipment, you are given context by qualified instructors. The amount of hands-on you will have will increase as you progress through the course. That said, A&P School is not going to be somewhere you go to learn complex things about individual aircraft. That is mostly learned in the field, company-sponsored specialty training. But it is based on the foundation you get from a school like this.If you miss time, you are NOT charged to make it up as long as you do so in a timely manner. The tests that you take in the classroom differ greatly from the tests you will take to get your federal license ratings. However, the curriculum is mandated by the FAA and they are bound to specific rules as a 14 CFR Part 147 School regarding hours, and the accelerated nature imposes further restrictions of latitude they can offer you.You need a willingness to succeed and motivation to make it through the program, as you need very intense ability to adapt to new subjects every week or two.You get out of it what you put into it. I am carrying a 4.0 with Perfect Attendance Award, Student Council President, future Summa Cum Laude and a current Directors Award, while working a night job and raising two kids at 28.Your efforts will pay dividends once you attend one of the several Career Fairs offered during your time at the school. You are also allowed to attend Career Fairs after you graduate. The school will help you with job placement and making connections...for life. Its a great opportunity that gives you peace of mind, consider the cost and how much effort and money you are willing to invest in yourself for a surefire career.

Iv had better customer service from Mcdonald, School has no standards. I called three times to get ahold of someone for a tool voucher, wrote emails and left voice mails not a reply or call back. In the the 10 months I was there I have seen 22 instructors leave. Very shady. Spend your money elsewhere. Also for a 14 month program they charge veterans GI Bill 19 months. Didn’t tell a lot of us that at the beginning.

Campus tour was rather lackluster. Tools and equipment were subpar and outdated by the looks of things. I initially thought that was par for the course of A&P school, untill i toured Cape Cods new A&P campus on Plymouth Municipal airport, and it was absolutely no contest. This facility not only has their assets spread amongst 2 different areas -the 2nd of which i did not get a tour of- but what i saw here left MUCH to be decided. The reputation of Cape Cod Community Colleges new AMT program,ed while younger than the age-old NAAs, is starting off strong, already being supported by 4 organizations including the United States Coast Guard.National Aviation Academy is more expensive, has not aged well, has not been keeping up with the times, and they will soon fall off the map if they dont get their stuff together. And also, some of their staff do everything in their power to get you to commit, and give you absolute hell when you stand your ground. And Ive been watching previous reviews of the NAA mysteriously disappear off of this page. And i saw MUCH of what they talked about on my tour, and now that Ive seen their conpetition, it is more clear than ever.Do NOT go to the National Aviation Academy, if you want quality training, with modern equipment, and a fast growing reputation, for a reasonable price. There are better alternatives in all those regards.

If you really want your A&P it is a helpful school if you can get past the bullshit. Get your prepware and USE it! Some instructors actually care and will help you to no end, other hate their job and will only push you through. It is a general knowledge school. You will learn the basics of aircrafts. If you expect to walk out knowing everything about every single aircraft ever produced you will be disappointed. No place will do that. If you have a complaint about issues going on in the school dont waste your breath. They dont care and you will be ignored.

Since all the other reviews here dont do this Academy Justice, I figured id use some of my time to save a lot of yours.Pros- Some teachers actually care about you and will stand up to the terrible management.- Easy to get in to this school since the test is for middle school level math.- If you by some miracle get through the course you will learn how to use prep-ware which is a great tool for taking the tests for you license.ConsWhere to begin....- Lack of tools and tools quality that is present if terrible.- More than half the teachers there hate their jobs and cant stand the management leaving you with grumpy old men (possibly a woman or two) who teach aka read from a packet.- The lectures are more thank death by power point. They are terribly made packets that fill in the blanks these blanks are later the answers to a terribly made multiple choice test. (I never got below a 80% on any of the 100+ tests we took)- Not only is the curriculum bad but its has very little to do with the actual test for your license. ITS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU USE PREP-WARE IF YOUD LIKE TO HAVE A CHANCE AT PASSING. Conveniently they sell all the prep-ware for 15$ a book (three books, one for each test)- Labs are a disaster and equipment is terrible. I wont even get into the safety aspect of this place, lets just say if the got audited they would need a miracle to pass.- The planes and engines that this place does have are rickety at best and I was not able to do two of the projects that are required to graduate.- The one plane that they do have that works they dont let any work get done to it at all. Its basically there to attract new student and suck them into the money grab that is National Aviation Academy.- Lets talk money... You pay (36,000 at the time) a hefty sum of money just to get into this school which has a strict schedule of Mon- Fri 8 hours days. If you miss any time at all you have to make up the hours after school making your days longer (this is understandable because you need 1600 hours for the license). For each hour you have to pay 15$, meaning a day of missed school is about 100$ (if unexcused) where does this money go? not to the teacher that stays late (they complain about this at least once a day) instead it goes right to the big mans pocket. to take your test for license all of this must be paid up and all hours have to be made up. if its snowing and they dont cancel school you have to make it there or you will have to make the time up and pay. like I said this place is just a money grab.-The owner of this establishment came to visit one time while I attended this school. He interviewed me and ask why I had so many hours to make up. I told him that I lived an hour away and that I also have to work because Im not a teen that live at home. He then proceeded to make fun of the fact that I needed to make so much time up and that I probably Owed him a lot of money.I could go on forever about terrible things at this school. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and used my GI bill for this school thinking it would be a great move. Unfortunately for those using a GI Bill you are stuck at this school to the end and your options are just leave and pay back your GI Bill and loos your money to the school or stick it out and teach yourself through the books. I did take a few things out of this school and I can say that I did make a great group of friends while here.
