The Goddard School has always been by far the best preschool our children have attended. The warmth they have for the kids, the facilities, the staff, every box is checked. They are amazing. We have watched our child grow daily not only academically but socially as well. His teachers get on the floor and PLAY and teach, not just sit on their phones all day. The director is a part of the school community, not just sitting behind a closed door. The staff smiles and talks to you and the kids and knows your family which in my opinion is a huge help when working with little ones. These are teachers, not baby sitters Anyone who has been to a daycare or preschool will know what I mean. We love our Goddard family and recommend 5 stars to anyone who will listen.

My son started attending The Goddard School in Cornelius when he was 12 months old and stayed through 5 years old for TK. Due to Covid he is now attending a remote learning program they are offering. The administration and teachers have always been accommodating, professional, and caring. The amount of growth and learning my son has gained from the school is truly amazing. Recently he had to take state MAP testing for kindergarten and scored in the 92 percentile for math and 90 for reading. Our investment in his care and education has definitely paid off. We are very grateful! He has always been in the best hands there, and I highly recommend them for your family as well!

Words cannot describe what a wonderful experience both of my children had while attending the Goddard School of Lake Norman. ALL the staff is friendly, bubbly, caring, and adoring of my children. The school is super clean, safe, organized, and well maintained. Never once did I worry that they werent given the best care. Both of my children were well prepared for kindergarten both academically and socially.The teachers are well educated and trained. You can tell that they love to come to work every day. When my kids had been on vacation, they couldnt wait to get back to the Goddard school to play, learn, and be with their friends. That tells you a lot about a school when the kids are excited about going!

I have nothing but great things to say about the Goddard School of Cornelius. Being a teacher myself, I appreciate what Goddard does to instill the sense of school for our daughters rather than providing daycare services. The curriculum challenges them and allows them to explore their individual strengths and talents. I enjoy reading their detailed daily report and asking them about their school day. The facilities are kept clean and updated, and the homey feel throughout the school is comforting. The entire staff at Cornelius is kind, friendly and caring. The most important aspect to us is to know that our girls are loved. That is more than evident in the kindness their teachers show, the friendly smiles and greetings from the owner and director, and talks daily with their teachers. Last month I had the opportunity to preview the Goddard School in Cornelius, NC. From the moment I drove into the parking lot, I knew this school was something special! My intuitions were validated the minute I walked into the main building and met the owner, Elaine. She conducted a full tour for me and I could feel the sense of pride and excitement, commitment, and attention to detail as we went into each classroom. The emphasis on education, safety and cleanliness was incredibly impressive. Without a doubt, this school surpasses all expectations one may consider for our most precious treasures in life... our children!

My daughter went to Goddard from 6weeks old right up until she went to Kindergarten. The schools family feel and wonderful teachers made it easy to say good bye each morning. I knew my little girl would be cared for and loved on. As she grew through the school, I was constantly amazed by all she was learning. She was beyond ready academically and socially for Kindergarten. I cant imagine sending her anywhere else.

I cant say enough awesome things about this school. Both of my children went to this school and I couldnt be more happy with the experiences. My oldest is now 10 and my youngest is 6 years old and we still keep in touch with the teachers and administration because we feel they are part of our family. If you want your children to be loved, nurtured and learn in a safe environment, look no further.

My daughter has been at Goddard School Cornelius for past 3 years. This school has been an absolute blessing! My daughter has absolutely loved it here! She looks forward to going to school everyday...she even wants to go on the weekends! All of her teachers have been so wonderful to her. I never worry about my childs safety or happiness while I am at work. I know she is being well taken care of, she has learned so much, and I hope all of her future teachers are as wonderful as the teachers here!! I would definitely recommend this school!!

The teachers and staff are top notch and extremely professional. My daughter switched from another preschool where she was bored and having trouble with mean girls but she had no trouble at The Goddard School in Cornelius. No boredom, no mean girls. She loved going to Goddard, she loved her teachers, who were warm, funny and full of energy and who challenged and stimulated her. Ms. Deborah and Ms. Dominique did not treat the preschool kids like babies - they treated them like smart children with busy brains and gave them lots of ways to express this. There were always new and engaging ways to play, science experiments, music, fun foreign language and sign language lessons and art projects but my daughter also learned to read and write, something I had not been expecting the kids to learn at this age. My daughter positively bloomed at Goddard. We had experiences with two other preschools before Goddard - a very expensive preschool in Manhattan, and another local preschool in the Lake Norman area and I can say without hesitation that Goddard was the best of the three. The owner, Elaine, and Amy and the rest of administrative staff are extremely capable and receptive to the needs of the parents and run a very tight ship. There are no loose ends, no cutting corners, no careless mistakes. And they do it all with great warmth and smiles. They all truly care about the children. We are so grateful for our experience at Goddard. We hope elementary school will be just as wonderful!

This is a wonderful preschool. The teachers are intelligent, caring, and responsive to each childs individual needs. They manage to get the children to take real pleasure in learning. The materials the school provide are plentiful and diverse and cultural. If something starts to look worn the school replaces it immediately, Their facilities are well maintained, they have an enormous outside play area with 6 ft privacy fences so, the children cannot be seen by just anyone passing by. Additionally, the location is set back off the road to further protect the children. They take our childrens security seriously.They have 2 buildings each with their own kitchens, large rooms, and a gym. Many preschools in this area serve lunch everyday and your child is forced to eat whatever they are serving for that day. Many children go hungry because they do not like what is being served. The Goddard School gives you the option to send your child a homemade lunch everyday (and it can be heatable) or you can purchase one from their selection of catered healthy, kid friendly meal options. As a mother of a picky child, I am thrilled that I can send my childs lunch because I know he will eat it. My other children will eat anything and the reasonably priced meal is a great option for them. They get excited to select their own meals each week.Their curriculum is outstanding and includes Sign Language, Spanish, French, Writing, Reading including Phonics, Science, Social Studies, Geography, Physical and Social Development, Healthy Habits, History and Culture, Math, Physical Education and so much more. Their focus is truly on the children. They are and have always been a 5 star school and it shows.

I am a retired schoolteacher and my grandchildren attend the Goddard preschool. I just adore the loving environment they create for the children. I feel that it is like a family there, and at the same time know that my grandbabies are safe and secure.The teachers are very professional and loving and really Want to be there. The curriculum is engaging, challenging, yet flexible to the needs of a toddler classroom. The balance between structure and creativity is the thing that I love the most. They allow my very serious grandson to thrive in his perfectionism while they appreciate and encourage my quirky granddaughter.It is the perfect balance for my son and his wife and Im convinced is the best preschool in the Lake Norman area. It will be sad to see them going into elementary school and leave their family behind.

My daughter has been attending since 2011 and her little brother just joined her there this fall. I cant begin to say enough about how wonderful The Goddard School of Lake Norman is. My daughter has been cared for and clearly loved, she has a fantastic baseline knowledge and foundation as she prepares for kindergarten next year. And most important to me its apparent how much she enjoys attending while shes clearly learning and growing. The administration and staff are extremely communicative and accommodating and theyve been so welcoming to my son starting his nursery school experience. Its one less thing to have to worry about and deal with knowing my children are in a safe, loving, fun and educational environment.

The Goddard School in Cornelius is a wonderful daycare/pre-school and we are incredibly happy that we made the decision to place our children here. Every single staff member is warm and loving and all seem to really care about the children.The teachers are exceptional and foster an environment of fun and learning through play. Our son spent the first two and a half years of his life being cared for by the wonderful teachers at the Cornelius Goddard School until we relocated. The curriculum is outstanding, the teachers are loving and nuturing, and the leaders and owners are wonderful to work with. Both of my daughters (now 8 and 5) attended Goddard starting when they were 2 and through pre-K. Both were totally ready for Kindergarten, and loved their time at Goddard. The teachers were fantastic, the lessons were thorough and there was still a lot of time for fun. We will continue to stop in from time to time so that the girls can visit their favorite teachers. Highly recommend.

My 3 children have all attended The Goddard School in Cornelius, NC. The teachers are warm and caring and work hard to build meaningful relationships with the children. The teachers also create detailed lesson plans and I know that my children have learned so much while at The Goddard School. The school feels like an extension of my family and it means so much to me that my children are so well taken care of. :)

We have had a wonderful experience at The Goddard School in Cornelius. My son is at the age of being very accident-prone, and his teachers always work to keep him safe. All of his teachers have been kind, and I know he has learned a great deal from them. It speaks volumes when your little one wants to go to school and see his teacher on his days away. :) In addition, each of the staff up front are very welcoming and informative. Their positive demeanor lets you know your children are in a happy and safe learning environment. The best preschool in the Lake Norman area. I say preschool because they are not just a day care. I love their lesson plans, their daily feed back to parents, the pictures and video of my child every day, everything.

Where can I even begin when rating The Goddard School (TGS) of Cornelius, NC? Whatever I write below, the actual TGS experience far exceeds the words written below.Speaking as a parent who transferred their child in to TGS from another childcare provider, our initial approach at enrollment was cautiously optimistic. Our experience to date is that all of the expectations we entered with, have been and continue to be exceeded. The best service operations start with strong leadership at the top, and TGS has just that with an actively engaged owner, along with a strong front-office leadership team. Additionally, the level of excellence isnt merely present at the top, its also carried through and lived daily by the teachers, assistants, and support staff at TGS too. Our child has now spent time in several different classrooms and we had top-notch experiences with each of the care teams in those rooms. The teachers & staff take a vested interest in each child, generating detailed daily reporting, and periodic pictures/feedback (some are even sent during the day electronically). Additionally, the curriculum is expansive and focuses on developing all aspects of a developing child.Overall, our experience was and continues to be superior at TGS, in fact, via word of mouth, we referred and continue to refer friends & peer parents of ours to TGS, which speaks to the quality of our own family’s experience.TGS, keep up the GREAT WORK, you guys ROCK!!!
