I feel genuinely valued as a student and supported in my pursuit of my goals at this campus. :)

I liked the English classes at Delmar college I learned a lot and they have the best English teacher Jenifer Oden. I would like it to be less homework and more practice in class. I love this university.

This is a beautiful school. New architecture combined with older existing structures give this place an alluring mystery.

This school it has its flaws but it does very well for what the school earns. tuition is cheap, the instructors are great, the employers are very kind. They are also very helpful in getting you situated with the school.

Wonderful music experience at Del Mar College!

I love Del Mar College. I have always had a great respect for the school and its academics. However, I cannot for the life of me understand why the college is so far behind in technology. Why is it that at most schools now, you can request an e-script transcript, not at Del Mar.Del Mar makes it very difficult for someone out of town, without a printer, living in an RV temporarily, very difficult to obtain the documents needed to transfer. I dont know, maybe this is a gimmick to make it hard so the student doesnt transfer out of Del Mar, who knows.It would be great to be able to go on the site, and request an E-script. I hope this review reaches the department who is capable of making such a task much more accessible.

Excellent Community College! Phenomenal cafeteria with everything you can imagine. Excellent professors. Unfortunately, the immediate area surrounding the college is completely infested with drugs. Corpus Christi itself is a drug haven, especially ICE. Beware...

It seems every time I talk to someone on campus, they have zero idea of what’s going on. The school is poorly operated. For the longest time I had two student accounts because someone created a profile using my phone # as my social security #. They received two transcript request from the university I’m transferring to and still hadn’t responded to either one after a month when I finally called. Any time I call to speak with someone, I get transferred to at least 2 different people before someone can actually get me an answer. It’s no wonder this school has such a low graduation rate.

Best part about DMC is teacher do care but special department was at best when Richard Render was there. He did such a great job and was instrumental in success of students reaching their goals. Its said to say Re org program and Mr Render passed last March.

Worst school I have been too or have even mentioned to from others. I had to repeat 48 credits from a National accredited school in Florida. There placement tests are fake to get more student into prep courses. I encountered a math average question about weather. Showed 4 of 5 and said the average for the week was set. It asked you you figure out the missing day. Easy question times average by five and minus out the remaining four. Ones performing the test told me best guess answer to math problems. Then they have you sign up for classes with no tuition payment chart, email or anything that tells you tuition payment date. Last semester I received an email that told me I had to pay within the next two days or I will be dropped. It gets worse I have taken every writing, history, government, humanity and social science class at the school. I signed up for comm 2 and get a teacher that fails everyone of my papers. I had a 3.8 g.p.a. before Miss Buttlers class. I had my papers graded at a professor at texas a.m corpus. They told me they are B and C exams when I was given F and low D grades at Del mar. I was given a 68.5 grade which means I have to retake the class. I showed the department head and council my findings and results. They still sided with the grade saying not enough evidence to even change my grade to a C. I will be taking my results and findings to the news organizations in the area to shine light on the injustice and abuse of power from a teacher that her response to the issue is in my opinion. Grammer and writing has rules just like math has rules She even marked correct spelled words as mispelled just to lower my grade. I will be pushing to have everyone involved fired and I hope this helps others that have be a victim of this injustice and abuse of power for profit.

Terrible school, IT department is a joke. Now that David Hattox in charge; I am sure that lame brain is running it even further in the ground. If I could go back I would avoid these 2 names. Thorne and Hattox. Hell I would have been better off in a different field altogether. Save your money and time; go elsewhere.

Horribly run business office, I was hung up on after someone took payment from me. The redeeming qualities of this school are the teachers there. I had a fantastic experience in the science department.

As a student in the STEM field, I have a lot of support from SEMMO and Dr. Parr. Our mathematics and chemistry faculty are top notch and try their best to prepare students for university and corporate experiences. Im very glad that I chose Del Mar College to pursue my education goals.

The issue I have with Del Mar is that the political science departments give no voice to conservative thought. They push a liberal agenda. Every speaker that comes to del mar is a liberal. Delores Huerta somehow believes that the Texas border crossed her in order to raise thoughts of a border being illegitimate. She also talks bad about our Texas Senator Mr. Cruz which is very offensive. She brings up being stranded on a desert island and asks would you rather be with a farm worker or a lawyer. Fine, statistically speaking, a person is more likely to be accused of a crime they did not committ than to be stranded on a desert island so then who would you rather have? Then they bring in Dr. Dyson...huge liberal...need I say more? They had another Dr. who spoke raising the question of why Texas does not accept college ids for voting and pondered why not...all the while he should know that illegal immigrants are not allowed to vote, but are given ids when they attend college which bare no differences than any other student id. I wish I had been there when this speaker was speaking because most of the people there listening seem to be brain dead and instead of reminding him of the law and challenging him they lifelessly listened to his non-sense. I challenge Del Mar College to hire some core conservative political science professors...I challenge them to invite some conservative speakers but I bet they are too cowardly to do this.

Been here almost a year overall satisfied, they can improve a bit with parking the campus layout.

Orientations could be shorter, all the info could be skimmed through most of it is how to navigate the web dmc, security on campus, counseling, dropping courses, financial aide meeting again with academic advisors why meet twice especially if youre registered already, i know you are allowed 2 guest but many brought the whole family causing lots of congestion, lines are so long many didnt get student IDs or parking permits . All this can be better cordinated and be more time efficient . It shouldnt take 8 hrs.

Absolutely a joke of school advisors get paid to sit on their butts and DO NOT CARE about student success just a pay check. Wanna do nursing with Del Mar? Advisor are never available and when you do get one they literally read from the website that you can access from home no advising at all. Fincial aid help? Sure but they will tell you to have your advisor feel it out then your advisor does then FA says its wrong so you turn it in 6 times finally get FA back to only the next year to have do the same form again but those jerks write in the comment section that you refused to turn it in but yet says you turned it in multiple times!!! This whole school sucks. They have great professors but they even try to get rid if them... they clearly dont care about their horrible graduation rate and i see why its so bad now

They are there to help all our communitys needs. Take a class and learn more.

They closed the bookstore early on the only day to charge books to financial aid. Its like they dont want people to succeed & dont care about their graduation rate.

Must arrive an hour before your class starts to find parking and make your way around the construction that has been going on forever
