I loved attending SCI. The teachers were great, the staff was polite and no personal problem was to big for them to work around or help the students with. They go above and beyond to help everyone enrolled in school graduate. This is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Attending SCI has changed my entire life, from financial status to a new found pride within myself. 10/10 I would attend again. Thank you SCI.

Ms. Hartley is an outstanding instructor! Her compassion and empathy for others in addition to her experience and expertise made such an incredible impact on the class. She truly prepares you for the real job setting and the state tests. I know I now feel fully prepared to enter the work force as a Certified Nurse Aide since attending Ms. Hartleys class at SCI. I highly recommend to learn from her at SCI if you are entering the nurse field as a CNA.

This has been one of the best technical school’s I have been too. Very understanding and the instructors are the best. I feel like I have learned a lot and will be accomplishing my goals of the effort they put into teaching you. It was such a great experience and if you want to go back to school you should choose this one.

I went to SCI for the CNA program. The instructor is Mrs. Hartley. All I can day is is the best. She will prepare you with everything you need to know and want to know so you can be successful.

The staff were super amazing. I actually talked to them on a Saturday and I couldnt believe how professional they were.We didnt stop till they completely helped me finish the process. Went through the CNA class, finished last Friday and just passed both tests first try. Ms. Hartley is a great teacher who prepares you to pass those tests and helps you absorb the information in the 5wk period. I definitely recommend this program.

The nurse aide program left me feeling extremely prepared, my instructor Brigitte Hartley was amazing. While working, I often find myself asking myself “what would Ms. Hartley do?”. I definitely recommend this program.

Ms Hartly was an excellent teacher! I had her for the Nursing Assistant course, I learned so much through her lectures and stories! I am confident moving forward in my career thanks to her :) Great school and great prices! I plan on recommending to many people who are pre-nursing majors!! Dont hesitate when you are thinking about where to go, this was definitely better than what I have heard about the other courses in the area.

Be aware of wrong communication!I went there for the Medical Assistance program & was told to take my certification test through the wrong agency! Shortly after graduating my father became ill with cancer so I delayed taking my certification test. I checked in with my professors on several occasions during his illness to make sure I had the correct information to test out for my certification. I saw on the certificate web site that they had lifted the time limit from five years after graduation. That you could still take the test after five years as long as you took the course & received a diploma from the accredited school. I felt I had the time to focus my energy on my family & caring for my father. After he passed & I was able to gather my mind correctly I contacted the agency that I was told to go through by not one but two of my MA professors only to find out it was the wrong one! After several phone calls I finally received the correct information & I had missed the deadline to take my certification. I am now fifteen thousand dollars in debt and cannot use my degree. I can not find work as a MA because even though I have fifteen years experience as a CNA companies expect you to have experience as a MA or be certified. I had contacted the school letting them know my issue & asking if there was job outreach help for me. All they did was apologies and say the instructor was misinformed, and that since I live in Mississippi now there was no resources they could offer me!I busted my butt & sacraficed a lot to graduate from SCI only to be mislead on several occasions that I have not listed, but this was the worst! Now my choice is to retake the program again and rack up another fifteen thousand on debt! No thank you!

Except for the first call where a representative called me cause I asked for info, unfortunately I couldnt reach phone in time, so rep left a message. The message was clear, except when she said her phone number to call back. Its a number that she knows well so it flows quickly and easily out her mouth, but I could not understand, even after rehearing a total of twenty times, it wasnt until I again went online to request info did someone call me back, and this person, Michelle, helped a lotShe was able to listen to my sincere questions, and she answered, honestly I hope, with any qualms I had about the program. She helped me understand my fears of education and helped me get pumped up about changing my life to have a career, and not some menial job. So, lets hope I feel the same or

The staff are the best. Unlike other schools, The staff at SCI are friendly and most importantly theg CARE about your education. They do what it takes to get you the education and get the job. The business accounting program that I chose to major in was beyond my expectations.Great teacher and mentor. Thank you SCI for helping me succeed in my future!

Wow I just did tht without even really thinking much more than. Just the voice that made it all come to be.

Im honestly probably going to be the only person who will give this school a bad review. I worked extremely hard in school I made all A & Bs for the most part and was even in the mentors club. I graduated about a year ago & sadly I still am unemployed. I was not given a fair shot by any means. I was sent on externship to a place that was not interested in hiring me from the beginning and the teacher who sent me on extern was aware of this as well, I asked if I could get another site that would be interested in hiring me so I could actually be learning what I am supposed to be doing while working. She denied my request and told me to continue going to the site and that once my extern was over I could go ahead and go look for a job (with what experience?) the site I was at didnt teach me anything they acted as if I was a burden to have around.. After extern was over I never found another job and now Im so far gone that I have no practice or skill in anything because I never got to put my knowledge to use so now I would be completely starting fresh if I went anywhere and no one will want to hire me because of that... I am really shy so going to a new job will already be hard and even harder with no experience and most places arent understanding which is why I was hoping to learn more on extern and get hired then that way I was able to use my knowledge in my work. I am certified with NAHP, but dont know how to do hands on. Im so disappointed because I put my all into that school and a lot of money as well which breaks my heart because I dont even have enough to pay back my loans, much less enough to survive right now. I loved my teachers at the school, but I dont feel I was given a fair shot, at all. My friend who lives with me and also went to the same school graduated at the same time as me and was not learning anything at her extern site so they moved her to another extern that taught her extremely well and hired her on the spot and she still works there today. I cried the day that we both went in to turn in our extern hours because I walked away with nothing while she walks away with a lovely job. It breaks my heart when I think about it.. I still recommend this school to everyone, but it hurts knowing that I wasted all the money and time and now have no skills to come out of it. I even tried emailing my advisor Michelle who signed me up for the school asking if I could some way possibly go back for a bit to do all the hands on classes and externship that way I could have the practice again and have another shot at getting a job and she completely ignored me.. Im so disappointed. Theyre job is to make sure you get employed, but I was not and it may be my fault because I am shy but I really am hard working and willing to learn. I wish I couldve had a fair and good experience like everyone else did.

I am so excited to go to class on Jan 4. I know i made the right choice by choosing SCI. The staff were so helpful and nice. I can’t wait to start my Medical Assistant course with this school.!

Ms. Land is beyond far the best instructor in Corpus Christi. She really did everything she could to help me perform my best. Highly recommend taking the business accounting specialist program.

My experience with Crystal was just a breeze! She was informative, compassionate, understanding and professional. I couldnt have asked for a better experience in continuing my education!Also, my experience with Maria in the financial aide department!! Wow what a breeze - we all know financial aide can be a pain - she walked me through every step from beginning to end and answered every question with patience and understanding!Amazing team you guys have! Spoke with Crystal Salinas on a 30 minute phone call about 3 different fields of study. They were HVAC, Automotive Technician and Pharmacy Tech. She was very knowledgeable and helpful as she took the time and broke down ever single one of these fields for me. She knew many details from how long the course is, the demand of work in these fields, the need of each of them in our area and which of the 3 would be best overall for me as I’m close to that 40 year old mark. She then broke it down to the levels available to grow in Pharmacy Tech which has a lot of room for growth and is on the higher demand side as becoming ill is something that will never go away. I recommend talking to Crystal Salinas if you need any info on Southern Careers Institute or are interested in getting into school.

The instructor was professional. The students were eager and confident. Great atmosphere.

I have had an amazing experience so far.Michelle has been awesome helping me get started. I havent been in school since May of 2015 and she made it easy for me to get back in and going. I was kinda worried to get started again bein that I was out for so long but her confidence and her awesome personality made me get excited about school again.

It was the best experience Ive ever had in my life. They were very professional, caring, and understanding. If I had any issue with any of my work my instructors would help. Loved the hands on part of the programs.

I never give up on anything in life but almost did due to the online classes but due to a motivated, positive and very helpful staff at SCI I didnt. I thank them for having patience with everyone during this difficult time and Ive gained respect that they dont give up on education no matter what challenges them or the students. Thank You guys.

This school is the most unprofessional school I have ever attended the staff that deals with paperwork and finances are extremely rude and money hungry. The adviser I had names Lauren was horrible she lied to me about the program I was looking into just to get me to join faster and start school. The teachers were nice but all the rest of the staff is horrible and financial aid lady lily is extremely rude and not helpful. I will never recommend anyone to come to this school.

They are understanding and get every way to help you.

Thought about going to this school. But the bathrooms are horrendous. Definitely needs cleaned!!!
