My son started going here when he was 5 months old. They truly care and love the kids here. From the girls at the front to the teachers in the rooms, we couldn’t be happier to have found Discovery Point East! Love this place, and makes it even better when my son gets excited to go to daycare!

Update: After roughly a year later, we got our boys enrolled and I must say I’m extremely satisfied. They communicate greatly and treat our boys with kindness. Our boys enjoy going and we know they are in good hands.Nice facility, nice staff, however, the directors are not transparent when it pertains to enrollment. After receiving a tour and informing the director our interest in enrolling our son soon, we were given a lengthy application packet. Once we decided on a start date, completed the lengthy paperwork, we called and was told there are no slots. Never did the director inform us of completing any required action to secure our son’s spot. Now we’re back at square one searching for childcare. What makes matters worse is the assistant director giving her word that the director will follow up with us and to no surprise we did not receive a call and even prior to our tour the director gave her word of following up with one of our questions. She did not so we had to call her to follow up. I write all of this to say if communication is important to you, don’t waste your time, consider finding another childcare facility.

I LOVE this center. I have an 8 year old and a 1 year old and they both started in the infant room. The teachers here are and have always been amazing. They love and treat your kids like their own! I love that I can go to work and not have to worry about who I leave them with, its like dropping them off with family. Eryn, who is now the director, has been here long before she was the director. The facility is always clean, smells fresh and my kids are happy and comfortable here. Even when I lived and worked in Conyers I drove my daughter here for Pre-K! I dont think theres a better child care center around. So ladies - Thank you for all that you do for us! We love and appreciate you all!

My baby boy, the love of my life, has been at this center since he was old enough to be in child care. Their staff is loving, professional, and always happy to see my child. The management staff is friendly and helpful. The health and well being of my child and the other children in this center is obviously their first priority. The rooms are clean and welcoming. I am so pleased with this center and would recommend it to everyone.

We have used this Discovery Point for the past 6 years. Both of our daughters started attending at 4 months. They have both loved their classes, the teachers, and the other students. The teachers work on skills appropriate to the age group and really help the students learn how to be part of a group. It has truly been a wonderful experience!

My children have been attending this school for years and we could not like it more!!! The management is amazing and helpful. Erin and Mallory really care about this school and want you to be happy to leave your children here. The teachers are so sweet to our babies! They are so patient and kind, they go out of their way to make sure the children are happy and safe. I have seen some of the behaviors from children whos parents have given this center a bad review and I can honestly just say shame on yourself. These are a wonderful group of hard working people who love these kids.

We love Discovery Point. My daughter has special needs and has been attending for two years now. They are very accommodating and do everything they can to assist her in any way. It is obvious the teachers want what as best for her and work to help her achieve her goals.

My child has been in the care of this facility for over two years. The staff are friendly, professional, and very accommodating to my childs specialized dietary needs. The center offers very flexible hours and plenty of opportunities to facilitate growth during all ages. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of child-care.

My daughter is now in Pre-K and has been at this Discovery Point since she was an infant. She has always enjoyed going each day. The center is clean and organized which I believe is due to new management. All the teachers are friendly and seem to have a good relationship with my daughter. She is especially excited to go on Fridays since Miss Cheyenne comes on Friday.

Highly disappointed in this school. Bright from the start curriculum was extremely horrible. Children did not have proper structure at all that helped prepare little ones for kindergarten. My child came home with scratches, bites (large enough for scarring), bruises. The teachers were less than enthusiastic about teaching. I hardly ever saw class work that my child was supposedly learning about. My child went to Kids R Great before attending Discovery Point. When he arrived at this school, I was complemented on how well behaved my child was; how well he spoke for his age (at the time 2.5) and how much he had already learned in a class environment.... my child is now attending his first year of kindergarten, I have gotten behavior reports, so far, every day of this year. All in which are very familiar habbits he has picked up from Discovery Point. Wouldnt you know it... all the reports on my son while attending Discovery were close to perfect. I truly regret sending my child to Discovery.

Discovery Point prides itself on the highest quality childcare and parent partnership. We are extremely concerned about the comments you have posted and would have welcomed the opportunity to address these concerns specifically during your child’s enrollment in our facility. At the time of enrollment, and throughout the child’s attendance, we encourage families to address their concerns immediately with a member of management so that they may be resolved quickly. Because there are many moving parts in a center, we rely deeply on the families to let us know when they are not happy about any aspect of their child’s care. Please know that we are deeply saddened by your experience and would never want any of our families to feel this way. Please contact us so that we may partner with you on possible solutions. Either way, we wish your family the best!

Reviews stated by B Richardson is accurate. I have personally observed that myself in regards to the curriculum and incidents occurence. My son came home with unexplained bite marks and the director failed to follow up with me about that issue. I visited at various time slots and I did not observe any means of learning. It was chaotic in the classroom everytime. Needless to say, my son is no longer attending this daycare and he is striving in another establishment. Two positives towards this daycare, everyone is friendly and facility is clean.

Our son has been going here since he was 3 months old. He is now 12 1/2 months old as I write this review (08/28/2014). First of all, in the approximately 9 months he has been there, he has had 4-5 different teachers and 3 different assistant directors. On multiple occasions, I have seen more than 6 kids to one baby sitter ( I say babysitter, b/c the people working in the infant and toddler room are FAR from being a teacher). Other than feeding them, the most Ive ever seen one do is singing some nursery rhymes. Seems as though some of the only qualifications for some of these sitters are the fact that they themselves are a parent. On more than one occasion, we have picked our son up and he was in a full diaper that had poop that was so dry that we literally had to peel it off of his bottom. The worst part is that the sitter was holding him in her lap when we picked him up on a couple of those occasions. Theres no way she couldnt have smelled it.On another occasion or two, he hadnt been fed for long periods of time. Everyone knows that infants are constantly eating. Well, he had been in the infant room in the mornings lately, and they would transition him into the room next door, even though he wasnt walking. Im sorry, but if a child isnt able to walk yet, they dont need to be forced into a room with 2 year olds who are capable of running and knocking children like mine down on accident. Anyway, we put his food in the refrigerator in the infant room like always. We normally drop him off between 830 am to 930 am and we normally pick him up around 530-545 pm. We picked him up and the teacher wrote on the report card that he didnt have any food to eat b/c we didnt pack it. First of all we did pack it, and we found out that they had just taken his food out and put it in the cabinet and it never made it next door to the toddler room. All my son had for 6 hours was a small thing of peaches that they left in his lunch bag, since they needed to be refrigerated. The afternoon teacher had no idea that the morning teachers had taken his food out and put it in the cabinet. I was more than pissed, b/c they could have at least called us and asked. I would have left work in a heartbeat to take him some food. That happened 2-3 times while he was there.Just the other day, they ruined a pair of his pants. They wipe the counter tops and changing area with bleach water. They didnt wipe the counter down very well and bleach water got on his pants and left purple/pink spots on the back. When we approached the site director about it, she tried to keep from taking the blame and would not admit any kind of guilt or apologize. We have found other bleach stains on he clothes at other times as well.We have been sent home (more than once) with other childrens pacifiers, bottles, shoes, and clothes. Which is sad, b/c all of those are labeled with names.I could go on with several other irritating complaints, but in short, I feel like this is just a place where you set your child down and they just hand them some toys and say hey, just go entertain yourself. Please, please, please just save yourself the trouble and search elsewhere. Dont wait 8 months to find out the hard way like we did. I have seen, in just the 8-9 months he was there, at least a handful of kids that started when he did leave already.
