Our son was hesitant to start a karate school after being in past schools that played more games than teaching. My wife researched schools in the area and we went to watch a class at 360. What I saw in that class was a martial arts instructor who was very knowledgeable in the style, active with the class and helpful to all that were participating. We signed our son up for a trial which was awesome because the commitment was only a few months which lead us to believe the owners were confident in the school and if we felt differently we could leave at the end of the trial. Well 3 weeks into the trial we signed up full time and the rest is history. We have been there for well over a year now and we have seen our son not only start to become a marital artist , but he has become more confident in everything he does and has even started to take on leadership qualities he never had.We have never felt pressured to sign up for additional classes or to participate in extra classes for additional money. Mr. Scott in fact has offered class members FREE private sessions to help kids that feel they need additional help or time with an instructor and this ensures no one gets left behind.I have a history of over 15 years in marital arts and have seen a lot of schools that students just PAY their way to a black belt or learn 2-3 moves to head off to a tournament to collect trophies but you will find none of this at 360.If you want yourself, friends or family members to find a home where you are part of something more than just a marital arts school you will need to look no further. You will learn self defense that can be used in your real life needs and most of all you will become on overall better individual in life. Scott and Stacey care so very much about all of their members and have built a program that is unlike anything I have seen in my past experiences. We are all in with the 360 family.

In the 2+ years my son has been going to 360 he has grown in confidence, strength, skill, and leadership. They truly treat you like family and come along side you as a help during different seasons of your (kids) life. My son is now advanced enough to be able to help with the smaller kids and is learning leadership and responsibility in a very tangible way. After 2+ years he is still excited to go to the dojo 2-3 times a week.

We cant say enough about this school and what it has done for our son Levi. Not only has it given him confidence and improved his self-control, but it has challenged him mentally and helped him accomplish great things in and outside the dojo. Hes an extremely smart kid and even this has pushed him to his limits. After a few years hes a senior brown belt and recently joined the weapons program. Hows well on track to a black belt at some point in the next few years and were very proud of him and grateful to 360 for all theyve done. Scott and Stacy are like a second family to all of us. There isnt anything they wouldnt do for their students. We appreciate all they do for us and how they run a program that demands commitment and doesnt just handout belts unless they are earned. This is really lacking today in a society where everyone gets a trophy for no reason. Thanks for all you do guys. Highly recommended for all ages!

Seeing these troll reviews bugged me so I’ll leave a REAL review from an ACTUAL former student. With that said it’s been several years since I trained here so some things might have changed. What is taught here is Kenpo. It is a hybrid of Tae Kwon Do and American Kenpo but it’s still kenpo. You’ll see and be taught many kicks that aren’t used in traditional kenpo but have their uses, almost all kicks used in kenpo are low and go to the body, groin, or knees the higher kicks are pretty but not practical because it leaves you open for too long.So with that being said let’s get to the nitty gritty.Pros--VERY community and family oriented-Owners are wonderful people that really care about their students (and former as well)- Great kids program- Phenomenal basics focus and teaching you will not get a better foundation at any other school in the area (I would suggest training here even if you only did it for a year and moved on to another art or school).- Cleanliness school is always clean and no funny dojo smells.- Equipment is well maintained and clean- Family viewing area that you can clearly see the class in its instruction (I’ve been to several where you can only see a small portion of the mat, or they don’t have any area to observe)Cons:- No instruction once you earn a green belt (I’ve been told this has changed but I can’t say for sure)That’s it for cons, so weigh the pros vs cons, which if it has changed and you get full instruction after earning green belt there is no cons.If the school was as terrible as the 1 stars would lead you to believe they wouldn’t have lasted almost 10 years.

Our family has been apart of the 360 family for about 3 years now and we love it. The knowledge behind all of the instructors and senseis is phenomenal. After several Karate/kenpo schools, we found our home. Its one price to black belt and the prices are the best and are FAIR. The fact that we pay a low price for testing is fantastic for our family. A lot of things they dont even charge for unlike some schools. If youre looking for a great school for ALL AGES, this is the place. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

I was looking for a place for my kids and came across his place. The reviews are deceiving you can see where one bad review was given, the owner flips out, then you can immediately see him or someone brigading to try and hide the bad review. He even talks in a condescending tone in his replies here and his Facebook page if they aren’t a positive one. After digging into the owner and place I’m glad we went elsewhere one of the big things that is supposed to be taught is self control and not to let people manipulate you... which you can see in reviews he has failed badly at this.AOKKA, their certifying organization which is supposed to be run by Jim Pitts, I can not find any information on them so I’m not sure if it’s a made up one or a legit organization like Tracy’s, IKKA (Ed Parker’s), or LTKKA (Larry Tatum Kenpo Karate Association).Best I could find is Jim Pitts who is (at least the time it was wrote) was 5th Dan in Tae Kwon Do and 3rd in Kenpo. Here is an exact quote from someone in 2011 on kenpotalk forums“ Ive had the opportunity to study with a black belt of his (briefly) named Jim Pitts, and he teaches Kenpo mixed with a bunch of Tae Kwon Do. He only teaches three techniques per belt, and has tons of kicks and combinations to learn instead. He calls it a form of American Kenpo, but....”Make an informed decision before signing up for a martial arts school and check everything out, I’m glad I did.

My 5 year old daughter has been training at 360 FMA for almost 2 years and I could not be happier! They are beyond kind and patient with the children while still being firm and teaching discipline and focus. My daughter has come so far since starting karate. Weve also made great friends along the way. When you join this Dojo, you are joining a family! 100% would recommend!

360 is a great place for adults, youth, and children to learn the art of karate. Mr. Scott is always going above and beyond to help his students. I enrolled two of my kids in the program after we went to a free abduction prevention clinic at the dojo. Parents, karate alone will not keep your kids safe; 360 teaches kids step by step what to do if they are ever approached by a stranger.

I have 2 sons currently enrolled in the Ninja program. One has been enrolled for over 2 years, the other for only a few months. Not only has there been marked improvement in attitude and confidence for both children, Sensei Scott and Sensei Stacy make a great effort to stress to all their students that they take karate with them everywhere they go. Our children have learned valuable techniques for handling uncomfortable situations such as dealing with strangers and child abductions. We are treated like family every time we walk in the door. Prices are great and we have utilized several specials such as the new student special and the Christmas sale.Highly recommend this dojo to anyone looking for a youth or adult Kenpo Karate program. You wont be disappointed.

From the second you step through the door, you feel like family. Scott and Stacey have created an amazing environment there at 360. They teach you discipline and respect, but they do it in a way that the kids can learn and still have fun while training. Theres a passion in their teaching style that you will not find anywhere else. You pick up on that immediately. From her first lesson, my daughter was hooked. Its a part of her now. Shes shown more focus at school and at home. She shows respect to adults and kids a like. I wish we would have known about 360 Family Martial Arts sooner. But, were here now...I dont see that changing. Once you become a member...you are family!

Amazing self defense programs for all ages. Mr Scott is a phenomenal instructor great with youth and adults. Training is personalized and highly structured. They have great specials, clinics, events and a variety of training options. The dojo is big and very clean. All their equipment is new and in great condition. This school is on top of its game and has transformed my children. Just a little over a year in this system and all my kids are more confident, coordinated, respectful, independent, and most importantly safer! Their bully prevention and stranger awareness curriculum is excellent. Come on in for a free weekly trial and you will see what I mean.

We tried two other facilities before we found this one. We have now been here a little over 2 years and are so happy that we found it because it has made such a WONDERFUL difference in our lives. 360 Family Martial Arts has programs for all ages and is VERY family oriented. In addition to martial arts, they teach discipline, respect, and real life self defense techniques for kids, women and men. My son is 8 now and I have noticed a very positive change in his attitude and his manners due to the influence of the martial arts program at 360 FMA. Scott and Stacey are wonderful instructors and take time with every student to help them learn and reach their own potential. I HIGHLY recommend 360 Family Martial Arts!

360 FMA has a great martial arts program! They have classes for all ages and belt levels. They teach the children martial arts but also real world self defense in their classes! They even have programs for very young children that incorporate self-defense techniques to help protect the kiddos! The environment is pleasant and all the students love it. I would recommend this dojo to anyone that is searching for one to call home.

My youngest son participated in a Taekwondo program for approximately two years. We stopped going to the school due to the non-professionalism and unfriendly atmosphere. We were itching to get back into the martial arts, as its one of his favorite sports to partake in. After reading numerous reviews on the local schools, we decided on 360 Family Martial Arts based on the wonderful reviews from everyone. From the very first phone call, the owners have been welcoming, outstandingly friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. We tried two classes - totally complimentary! - before we knew this was the place for us. Its been a few months now, and we are completely satisfied with our decision. 360FMA is an intimate family where everyone is there to teach, motivate, and encourage one another. Its a setting where students are not trying to be better than one another, but where they are all trying to better each other.

The instructors are very patient with the kids and provide a fun and caring environment. From tigers, to ninjas, to youth class, my son has been encouraged through learning everything from his basic kicks and punches to his techniques and forms! I would definitely recommend this dojo to other parents who want to introduce their children to martial arts!

I checked out a lot of dojos in the area when I was looking for a place for my family and I to train. It took me months before I tried 360. Ive been here for just over six months and have not regretted a single class. My children and I love the atmosphere. There is a level of respect for the instructors, and between students that I didnt see in any other dojo that I visited. If you are looking for a family friendly place to train in a self defense martial art, this is the best place in Northwest Indiana.

I am a wife and mother of 3 young children. 4, 2, and 1. Getting to the dojo is hard sometimes for my husband and I, some nights we switch who gets to go but it is ALWAYS WORTH IT!The training and teaching we receive at FMA has brought a fresh wind of rejuvenation to my marriage, my body, my mind and to every part of my life. It sounds to good to be true but it isnt! When I am learning the teachings that make me use my mind, stretch my body, and force me to overcome limitations I am focused and STRESS FREE for my class time! When I go home I think about training and growing and my reflexes are growing and my mind is starting to think like a Martial artist! Whats more is that my 4 year old loves his class and his instructors very much and my 2 year old cant wait to be old enough to get on the matts!360° FMA has changed the Parmas lives!!!

I love these guys, my grandchildren Precious & Anthony Moore Jr. started taking katate here in July 2013, they really enjoy it. I can remember sitting in my vehicle in Jewels parking lot in the pouring rain googling karate in Crown Point. I believe I called the first number that came up which was 360 FMA, a young lady by the name of Sam answered the phone telling me how close I was to a dojo. I was actually on my way to a karate class that was located in Crown Point at some Civic Center but it was the best call phone call ever !!! If youre looking for a family oriented location to take karate this dojo is definitely the place to be! Kudos to Sensei(s) Scott and Stacy Conder. :)
