On 05/27/2021 my wife and I entered the Dollar tree within the hours of 6PM to 7pm. As I was in line (at the entrance of the store) to be checked out. The cashier was fraternizing with the customer ahead of us. And asking for assistance to ring up customers. The cashier opened up line #1. And started ringing up customers. While the other cashier still fraternizing with the same customer. And causing congestion to the lines. We moved to line #1 so we can also be checked out. The cashier on line #1 mustve ranged up at least 10 customers including me. While the other cashier still fraternizing with the same customer! What a shameful display of teamwork. The cashier in line #1 was still offering assistance to fill the balloons with helium for customer before me. I asked the cashier is she the only one that works here? As I walked out of the store. I made a comment to the fraternizing cashier. What a great job your doing! While she still with the same customer! And of course still fraternizing with the same customer. And causing congestion to the lines. For all the years Ive been shopping at this location. This is the first time Ive seen this happened. Hopefully someone will put a stop to these lazy workers! And commend the hard workers of the Crystal lake location.

I came in earlier today and was disappointed by the service provided by Debi. I was purchasing tax-exempt and was unaware there was an online sign up and was told They can afford it in regards to the tax that was applied. I informed her this would affect my job and she was not understanding at all. I offered for the others behind me to go ahead but she had already rung me up and I guess it was too much of a hassle to get a manager. Then she gave me an attitude that I was taking too long/holding up the line even though I offered to let the other customers through! Eventually I managed to sign up through my phone & got it figured out (shout out to the understanding customers behind me). Definitely upset with the customer service.

The cashier the other day was the opposite of friendly or inviting. She was MISERABLE and definitely showed it

Its kind of a mess walking into that dollar tree. The one in Crystal Lake the one in Algonquin by the post office East side of the river is extremely immaculate and extremely organized theres nothing messy in that store anywhere it is totally different than all the others. The one on Randall road in Algonquin by binnys and Walmart is okay but it is too crowded not people just with things. The Dollar tree in carpentersville by spring Hill Mall is also too small and not organized real well and too close with the aisles especially during the pandemic I was aware of all of this. If you live here in this neighborhood please go to the one on the east side of the river by the post office you will be pleasantly surprised that you dont have to rub shoulders as you pass someone in the aisles

The Dollar Tree is a great place to buy many different things....I really enjoy shopping there....I highly Recommend it...

I love this location and come here pretty frequently. My family all teases me because I swear by Dollar Tree products. The employees here are always thoughtful and kind (even when you can tell theyre super exhausted, theyve been trying to hire for awhile). They never let your service or experience get put on the back burner because theyre having a great day. Sometimes the lines are a little long at certain points in the day, but they try their best to move through those lines as quickly as possible so they can get to everyone without being rude, pushy or practically shoving you out the door. They usually have a great selection and are great about keeping shelves stocked. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for crafting supplies, home goods, self care items and more!

You got to love the Dollar store! They have a lot of seasonal objects and a lot of good little things youll need here and there. Some things can be really cheap though so you have to be careful on what you get.

I regularly buy my cleaning supplies and balloons here for birthdays, but today I found some very nice things that do not look cheap at all, the employees follow all the health precautions and their very kind treatment. the store very clean and very well stocked no disinfectant wipes but everything else as always

They had no shopping carts in the store. I asked if they had Moresby said they were being used. I turned around and looked outside there were about 10 of them outrhere. Had to go get my own cart from outside3. The floor is rwally dirty also.

Wanted to thank Gaby and Kate for their awesome customer service. We had stopped at Party City for balloons and there was a 2 hour wait and on top of that they were rude. We walked into Dollar tree and Gaby helped us right off the bat with a smile and awesome advice on colors. Thanks girls you are the best!!

I love that place

Used to love this store. Lately it has dropped its standards...boxes in the aisles, dimly lit and shelves that are barely stocked. This is a far cry from what it used to look like. Something seems wrong. However, I do like the people who work there.

Took the granddaughters there today. Very busy place. Quite a variety of products. Family oriented staff. Had a nice time with the kids.

Could buy everything here for the rest of my life! Except clothes. Great selection of cheap tableware and snacks for concerts, picnics, you name it! Dollar Tree has got it!

It was all holly and jolly but now the shelves are stocked red for Valentines Day and green for St. Pats and all those extra items add just enough bling without taking away the budget to host a few.

PLESSE SHARE This is the Dollar TREE in Crystal Lake I came here about a month ago and almost POOP my pants because their washrooms are out of order, they have about 10 employees here that are you doing nothing because the stores are complete mess. My question is where are they POOPING! THIS IS A MONTH LATER! They have to have a usable washroom THE place IS A Joke!

It’s a horrible service would not let us in because my son is autistic with no mask horrible service they seemed to have attitude and they are lazy they don’t want to work and they seemed rasict never going there again!

Always a clean organized store

I hadnt been to this store (Crystal Lake) in awhile. It used to be one of my favorite Dollar Trees to go to as it always was organized, clean, had a great selection, & a little bit larger than the ones in Wauconda or McHenry. But I was shocked when I went into the store the other day as it was such a mess & unorganized. Ive noticed the same w/Wauconda & McHenry, thats part of the reason I thought Id try this store (Crystal Lake). Im not sure whats happening to all of these stores but messiness, unorganized, & a stressed out staff in all 3 stores? Thats a trend that needs to be addressed by a district manager or maybe even corporate as its not a very positive trend at all. I actually felt anxious to get out of the store. Hopefully whatever is going on will be righted soon.

Dollar tree is a true dollar store, unlike most who have items over $1.

It was very crowded when I went in. But the employees were still smiling and still very friendly.
