My experience at PCI was a little different due to being virtual learning, and once a week on campus for hands on training. It’s advanced learned so everything feels like it’s being thrown at you and then bam! Tests on Fridays. Nonetheless Ms. Hernandez was a wonderful teacher, very helpful & had a big heart to teach you no matter how many times you asked for help. I graduated March 2021 and got hired at my extern site in a pediatric clinic. Starting pay was $13 and that was me negotiating a pay with them. Most clinics starts at $10-$11. Entire school tuition was $15,000 for Medical Assistant. Over all PCI was okay. At the end of the day it got me a job.

PCI has indeed helped me expand my knowledge and get a better understanding of what it is I want from this field. I have had hands on experience that I wouldn’t have had in another school. Thanks to Diana one of my admissions counselor, I have met a lot of great people inside the school. She helped me understand how this would benefit me in my future. Another of my admission counselors Ali has been a great help, whenever possible she gives me advice on what would be best for me. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to attend but both Diana and Ali, helped me understand if I want to start somewhere this is the place to be.

Enrolling here at PCI has been the best choice I could of made. Diana has played a big role in my life ever since I started school here, she made me be the person I am today, every time I need to talk to someone or ask for advise I know I can count on her. Even the financial aid process was easy with Serena’s help. The staff is great. I highly recommend this school because it has such great people that want to see you succeed. Thank you Diana for everything you do for me.

I definitely recommend this school, I started in August of 2019 hopeful that I would get my foot into the medical field and that’s exactly what they’ve helped me accomplish thus far, besides that I had set my mind to come to this school do my work, learn and go home and leave it at that but the staff at this school is incredible. I wanted to just get by here at PCI and go about my life and on my way but they really do care about you here and are very welcoming. Starting with my advisor Ali she made me feel so comfortable, when getting into something new you feel overwhelmed or scared but Ali made me feel like I could do it and helped me get started and my financial advisor Serena also helped me feel more than welcome. They encouraged me into student council and like I mentioned I was not interested in doing anything here at PCI besides my work and they pushed me to be more involved and I can’t thank them enough! They are truly a great team and they have great communication skills definitely the kind of people you want as your staff or to help you get your career started. I’ve found myself in tough situations while attending PCI we all know life can get crazy and they have always been there to help me with what I needed, and to check up on me and make sure I’m in class! Thank you guys for being who y’all are! They deserve some great recognition from PCI. This is the minimum thank you I can extend to them!! All the staff at PCI are great, friendly and funny especially Ms Taylor she’s the bomb.com, come attend PCI in Dallas and you won’t regret it!

My experience at PCI Health Training Center, has been more than what I could’ve ever imagined. The campus is full of genuine people from the students, to the instructors, and especially the staff. My advisor Diana, has made a tremendous impact on my journey here. She is helpful, sincere, compassionate, and always willing to listen and guide her students to the best of her ability. She shows +1 service towards her students as well as her fellow colleagues. Seeing an optimistic, always smiling, genuine face is always so refreshing. Her as mine and many others’ advisor was truly a blessing. She is what pushes us to come everyday with her above and beyond care for her students.Although, she has made an extreme impact on my journey I wouldn’t have even been able to attend and meet such great people without the incredible help of my financial aid advisor, Serena Gulam. Serena has been the most helpful in finding what suited me best and milking every last penny to help me attend such an amazing school. She is very determined and builds a great bond with her students as well. Serena remains patient and helpful during our most stressful process of enrollment. Financial Aid can be such a hassle, but if you’re lucky enough to get such a young, intelligent mind like Serena’s, you’re sure to have the best outcome with her! These two advisors together were a dynamic duo, you’d be blessed to have them on your side during your enrollment process!

I thought it was all good and games till I finally started my classes. It’s not what they make it seem. These advisors talk you Into it and boom. When your in the door it isn’t what they said it was. This school and the teachers suck! I regret ever spending a penny at this school. The worst choice of my life. I had like 4 different teachers since I had been there. That’s tells you a lot.

My name is Jennifer Hoeppner. I attended the PCI Health Training Center Medical Assistant program from October 2010-May 2011. It was the best decision I ever made. I truly got all the benefits and great education I was promised. From the hands on learning in LAB, to the lectures and volunteering opportunities, I learned so much! I was able to gain connections that opened doors and helped me advance my career. Im now a proud Veterinary Technician, and PCI gave me my start. The program taught me to believe in myself and without that confidence I never would have continued my education to achieve my goals.

This was the worst decision of my life. If you want to finish with maybe a job making around $10 an hour and over $10,000 in student loan debt, this is the place. This is fraud and they should be ashamed of taking advantage of people. The government should not fund these schools where students cannot pay back what was borrowed. It is not what it appears. Please, please do not go here. Do your homework before coming to PCI. I chose 1 star because it would not let me choose 0.

I was a student here a few years ago. I sacrificed a career that was actually paying more than this career choice would have paid me. I was fooled into excepting this school based on the salary ranges they provided regarding the national index earnings for someone in the position of medical assistant. During my externship I was doing wonderful work. I was triaging patients, giving multiple injections, setting up EKGs, allowed to do ear cleaning procedures as well as observe different types of procedures. At the end of my externship I was not hired. The site just used me for free labor basically. Most Medical Assistance jobs go to bilinguals which this school does not mention. As a result of not getting hired I was unable to pay off the remaining balance of the tuition. Subsequently I ended up in debt with bad credit so after all the work none of it paid off because it doesn’t matter how much training or experience you have. They’d rather hire a bilingual and train them in house. if they don’t hire you it’s all waste of time, money and energy.

I was very pleased with my advisor Eddye; helping throughout my whole entire journey during the program.. When things wasn’t going well she was there to help, she checked to make sure all her students were doing well in their classes and she help with any issues, gave that assurance that she would get things fix and did it sufficiently I’m so thankful that she was my advisor and she is a great Asset to the PCI program. Thank you Eddye!

I went to PCI from Oct/14 to May/15At first, I loved it. I thought I was getting the opportunity of a lifetime, during the first half of my time there, the teacher I had was not great. She was very unproffesional. Thankfully, she left and Mrs. Trevino replaced her, I cannot thank that woman enough. Ms. Trevino is an AMAZING teacher, she taught me a lot of things in half the time that the other teacher taught me.

My success started at PCI 4 years ago. It gave me the foot in the door I needed to begin my journey in the medical field. The teachers there are awesome and still keep up with me to this day. Even if we only got one day a week in lab it still gave me the training I needed. I graduated as a Medical Assistant, later went on to get my RN and now I am studying to get my MBA. You have to be driven to succeed, just because you are no longer working or a school is not what you that it was you are ultimately the ruler of your success, You cant blame your school for your failures. Career services DOES help you get a job and even years down the road they help continue to help you.. I am now a practice manager and work closely with PCI still. Love this school and like Ms. Covington always said KNOWLEDGE IS POWER......

I graduated from PCI as an MA in 2013. I had Ms. Covington as a teacher and she was amazing. Very tough, strict but molded me into a hard working MA. I enjoyed my learning experience with her because she also discussed her personal experiences from her previous jobs. They found me an externship with a kidney specialist in Desoto. Then I personally applied to MA jobs on craiglist. I found one that I have been with for The past 4 years and I LOVE!!!!! With this school you have to work hard, learn The material and remember. What they are teaching you at times you will use on the field. When I was attending PCI at the time, there were students who fell off, couldnt catch up, or gave up easily. If you really want it you will get through it. Easy 7 months of school with 2 months of externship. The only bad thing I didnt like is how inititally when I started I went to school for 1 month, then dropped out because of personal reasons and they are charging me $1,700 for that month. Even though I went back, completed program, made perfect attendance, and was on the honor society. I paid off my loan for returning the second time which was $7,000. Yet, they are still charging me for that ONE month.

I recently attended PCI and the only thing good that came out of it was meeting the friends I have now. PCI does not care about you, all they care about is the money you give them. However I did have an excellent instructor and I did learn a lot from her I still feel like the school as a whole does not care about you. During my senior month I went to talk to my career advisor about 2 times a week to see how the process of finding an extern site for myself was going. He would tell me the same thing every time I went up there, Im going to call them right now and Ill come and get you out of class or call you, would I ever get pulled out of class? Would I ever get a call, no. Another friend of mine went 3-4 times a week, brought the career advisor places himself and still has does not have an extern site. I thought that I had done good research on this school but obviously not. If I would have known before I dont think I would have enrolled because now Im out of money and 9 months of my life...overall PCI is two thumbs DOWN
