Amazing ensemble! Their love for the Dallas community and traditional African culture is demonstrated through all their efforts. I love how welcoming they are during their community classes and how everyone is given an opportunity to learn. They are sure to provide history of rhythms, instruments, movement, etc... Very educational! If you have been thinking about trying a class, go for it! You’ll love it for sure.

Ive attended African dance and drum company events all over the country. Bandan Koro is by far one of the best. The professionalism, the hospitality, and the willingness of the dancers and drummers to teach... they are far beyond anything Ive seen before.If you are ever in Dallas in a Saturday afternoon, you would do yourself a disservice to not stop by and check it out yourself. You will definitely want to come back again!

I had the Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance group perform at my wedding in March and they were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My entire family from Nigeria were really impressed by their performance. Tony was very helpful and responsive to all of my questions. They were on time and full of energy. I highly recommend going to see them perform or even getting them to perform for any events you may have.Thank you all again

Dance is Me!!!! AFRICAN DRUM AND DANCE IS MY LIFE! I’ve been dancing for more than 20 years and Bandan Koro set the tone for me! Originally from Dallas I moved away for about 14 years and since I’ve returned Bandan Koro has been my home away from home on Saturday afternoons!!! Very welcoming and friendly it doesn’t matter if you’ve never African danced before or you’ve done it your entire life, whenever you dance with Bandan Koro you will be pleased!!!!

My 5 kids joined me for our first time here. The fee was reasonable for the time & lesson. We had a great time. I really wanted this to be something we frequent. I was about to record my boys doing a step when the same lady who encouraged me to remove my shoes (I declined) told me NO RECORDING. There were many people recording for which she said they were doing for her. No notice of visual records or permissions were given to me. It should go both ways. *DO NOT USE ME NOR MY CHILDRENS LIKENESS IN ANY PROMOTIONAL, SOCIAL OR OTHERWISE.

Bandan Koro provides a fun envioronment for learning West African Dance. The classes and teachers support all ages and skill levels. I recommend the weekly community classes to everyone looking for a great workout!

Saturday has become my favorite day of the week due to my African dance family these energetic friendly faces and talented drummers and dancers Are enthusiastic knowledgeable about dances taught and so much fun all ages, skill levels and cultures welcome can even purchase logoed T shirts dance lappas shea butter drums and other musical instruments
