I’ve been with the studio for 3 months and I can honestly say I have loved and love every experience along the way. Theresa is always professional and graceful whenever I engage with her and she’s fantastic when it comes to communication. I am in the Thursday evening class and have April Hartman as my instructor (I APPRECIATE HER). April gives sound feedback and ensures that her student actors comprehend the notes and directions she gives. She’s smart, hilarious, and engaging in her teaching technique. I find myself looking forward to each class because it brings another opportunity to learn and grow. There are many places that can teach tricks to memorize lines, or how to make yourself sound more believable (Most of which can be found on YouTube). Thats not what this studio is. This studio is designed to teach individuals on how to be a well adaptable working actor in the film/tv industry by diving into deep into our scenes as well as ourselves. Here youll find absolute transparency in the teachings which allows you to immediately reflect on your choices, and gives you the opportunity to discover the best ways to improve a scene. I was involved in the Mixed Level acting class at TBell Actor’s Studio. Theresa Bell is a friendly and established teacher with a repertoire of multiple acting techniques and tricks. But unfortunately, the classes don’t offer enough opportunity for in-depth learning or applying critique, in my opinion. How the class works: you get 1 performance and 1 critique per class (and often, the critique is very short). Basically, you’re paying $ for 1-2 varied critiques per month, and for me, that’s just not enough for in-class education. I’d suggest that Theresa allow students to perform scenes more than once per class, offer multiple rounds of critique per class, and ensure that those critiques are in-depth and crafted to improve the specific student. These classes were a good experience, but much less hands-on / less interactive then I was looking for in an acting class.

I’ve been at T bell for 6 months now, and I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Theresa has such a perspicacious approach to not only technique, but the business in general. I’ve had a few acting coaches and they all are great and helped me in various ways, but I believe the way T bell studio is designed sets you up for real success if you put in the work (as it should be). To say Theresa is an amazing coach wouldnt do her teaching justice. I researched her for a year before making the first step to even look in on her class. I watched online to see if there were any changes in reviews from being awesome to HORRIBLE or not knowing what shes doing. I didnt see one review of that which meant I had to go see why people are saying shes the BEST, WONDERFUL to work with, knowledgeable ect.
