I went here for many years. I can assure you the teachers are absolutely wonderful. They are kind hearted and helpful. However, this place is not what it seems. They promise all their students fame and success, but even the people who have gone here and gained success found it in other ways. No acting school will give you all the tools to succeed, but this one in particular will hold you back.

My daughter Kendall Guyton has been coming to the studio and I have to say the Ms Linda and her entire staff is soo Awesome. They are all so willing and make themselves available to give the students as much teaching as possible. This is an amazing school from what I have learned here in the 5 months I have been here. The first day I came I instantly loved it. When I came everybody from the staff to the students were so inviting and accepting which eliminated some of the fears I had going to other studios. The activities we do are very engaging and focus a lot on feeling the script and words rather than just presenting them. We learn very valuable skills that are not only helpful in acting but also in life. Along with teaching me great skills, taking this class has also provided me with more confidence in my surroundings. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to get into acting and learn new skills.

My daughter absolutely loves it here! She’s definitely in her element. The advice that she gets is always helpful for her and she tells me all about it when she’s done. She goes home and practices everything they do in class. So very impressed so far!

I love attending YAS. The staff is very kind, and they assist you with any questions you have. The classes are very fun and have helped me become more confident in speaking/acting, and helped me make new friends. They also present students with great opportunities such as their showcases.

About a year ago, my husband and I decided to support our daughter’s request to begin acting lessons. Neither of us have any experience with acting let alone the industry so in our naivety, we heard an ad o the radio for a casting call for kids wanting to “make it” in the acting industry. We attended the seminar and thankfully very quickly realized that this organization was a potential scam. While the experience definitely made us extremely cautious our daughter still wanted to pursue her love of acting. After a few weeks of doing detailed research, we came across Dallas Young Actors Studio. After reading many reviews and doing an extensive background search, we auditioned for Linda. We’ve been amazed ever since! The weekly classes are not only fun for her to attend but offer relevant training that can be applied to acting in the tv/movie industry which is vastly different than theater performances. Our daughter also participated in two summer camps that gave her real-world experience in sitcom acting – there’s even a live taping! This past spring, she participated in the Hollywood Showcase in front of a top Hollywood children’s agency and Hollywood Casting Director. Her scene was carefully chosen and rehearsed for almost two months – this was extremely impressive and I knew that this showcase offered a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be seen by some of the top agents and casting directors in Hollywood. The agents and casting directors that Linda brings to Showcase are The Real Deal. After the showcase, our daughter was invited to Hollywood to audition for the agency department heads and has since been auditioning for various roles, including some feature film voice over roles. Lindas experience in the industry and honesty in the reality of pursuing a career in the TV and Film industry has been crucial in preparing our family, not just our daughter. Our goal with this experience was to not only foster our daughter’s love of acting but also to give her life-long tools that will help her in all aspects of her life including professional behaviors, and strong public speaking skills. I am so happy we found this studio. I have a daughter that likes to perform she is in dance, gymnastics and musical theatre already, but it wasn’t enough-she needs the whole performing arts experience. I didn’t want to go straight to trying to “audition” for things, nor do I know anything about how to pursue anything to that nature anyways. We found this place through Facebook. After one visit our daughter wanted to be apart of this group as soon as her trial class was over. What we love about it is my daughter’s excitement every week coming here. I think the accolades, research and that it’s a non-profit company and coming to meet the owner Linda answers any questions one might have. It also will excite you and your child.

My daughter Sophia loves DYAS! She has always been the kind of child who loves the stage and exploring her creative side. She has performed in many community plays and had the desire to move into film and tv acting. Ive been going to DYAS for over a year now and Ive always looked forward to going to class. The students and staff are always very nice and considerate. I really think that coming here has improved not only my acting but also my confidence. I can apply the things Ive learned here in class to my schoolwork and daily life. I was told my daughter was ready to start class on 11/1/14. Once we got there nobody knew anything. I was told I was wrong. They said, the 4 pm class is full we will call you when a opening comes. Sorry was there best option. this place dont have professional people. they think it okay to make someone come to their studio and then say sorry,there is not spot for you.

My son has just finished his first year of acting AND behind-the-scenes training at Dallas Young Actors Studio (DYAS) and he has just flourished. He approaches everything with a new confidence, from his schoolwork to his social settings. The instructors are excellent and have a great ability to pull the best out of each student. We were so happy to find a school that offers such high quality, one-of-a-kind training in the film industry because that is his number one passion. Almost three years ago, we looked all over Dallas for a good acting school for our son. What we found with DYAS was much more than that. The coaches are fantastic and not only has our son been able to build his skill set as an aspiring actor, but perhaps equally important, he has developed production skills as well. They have a full studio and encourage all the students to work in front as well as behind the camera, where they learn the dedication and skills required to produce TV and feature length projects. From sound recording to operating cameras to editing and writing, the students learn many aspects of the industry to prepare them for their future. They even have special events (Like Hollywood Showcase) throughout the year, bringing in casting directors and agents from LA to watch and provide feedback and direction. Linda has tremendous knowledge and guidance for those students that wish to pursue a career in acting and I have seen many students go to LA from this school. Xai, Brad and Linda are running a great school and I highly recommend it!

I have been a student at DYAS for 1 1/2 years, and I absolutely love it! I take acting classes and am enrolled in the Teen Producers program, and I must say that there is honestly no place I would rather spend my Saturdays! All the teachers are just incredible and the director, Linda Seto, is phenomenal at what she does. The environment here is one I would recommend to anyone who is interested in acting or what goes on behind the scenes!!

My two oldest daughters attended several years and loved it! I am hoping to get my youngest in soon. My oldest daughter had epilepsy and autism(we did not know at the time) and they worked so well with her and helped her with her communication skills and self-discipline. My second daughter, who was very very shy ended up a National Debate Champion and then was a Congressional Aide, now in law school. I credit YAS with bringing her out of her shell and giving her the confidence she needed to face school presentations and public speaking. Both of my older daughters ended up with an agent rather quickly and did work in the industry until they began to want to do other things in high school. I trust Linda Seto, she has never steered me wrong and cares deeply about each child.

We have three kiddos and we appreciate the awesome work and patience from the teachers at DYAS. The confidence our children have created from having to be in front of people and practice and deliver their scripts and commercials is a life skill they will have forever. Dallas Young Actors Studio is an amazing place for students of all ages to learn the craft of acting. It is so amazing to see my daughter in her element and among her people. In August 2017 I moved to the Dallas area from England, this was such a crazy change and I wasn’t enjoying anything here, Acting was something I have always enjoyed, so I search for acting schools in my area and came across Dallas Young Actors Studio! My dad and I decided we would give this a try. When I arrived at the studio the environment was amazing! We had to fill out a couple of papers and we got a tour around the studio by Elizabeth Campbell, she was really friendly and welcoming, I was but into the 11:30 class with Coach Xai, Xai is one of the many amazing coaches at the studio, everyone here wants to help you to achieve your goals and pushes you to do your best. Linda Seto is amazing you can see she puts her all into the studio and she really wants everyone to do their best. I have only been at the studio for about 3 months and I wouldn’t want to spend my Saturdays anywhere else! I am 16 years old and I volunteer and also take acting classes and I have made friend with some amazing people! I would recommend this to anyone how wants or you want to see what happens behind the scenes! I absolutely love it here and I want to thank everyone at DYAS !!!

My 10 year old attends acting ckass at Dallas Yas and The Summer camp program. This is an absolutely wonderful place for young actors to start fullfilling their dreams of acting or producing. The programs and staff are wonderful. Kids will build such confidence in themselves and a vast knowledge of acting and producing. If your child is at all interested in acting this is the only place to go. My niece Alexis Sillaway attended the school, when she was young and was in the same class with Molly Quinn & Katilyn Dever who went on to pursue acting as a career and got their start from Dallas Young Actors Studio. For a short period Alexis was with a local agency in Dallas and had a support role in one episode of Prison Break. Haley her younger sister attended classes at YAS and was cast in a Pizza Inn commercial that we still watch to this day. While neither of my nieces decided to make acting their full-time career they gained so much from the experiences at DYAS. This is such an awesome school that I have flown my niece Arabelle Quiggle from San Diego and I came in from Phoenix to bring her to DYAS to pursue her goal of becoming an actress. I wouldnt take her to any where other than DYAS; the industry experience, expertise, and guidance from Linda Seto are truly priceless. If Arabelle has the talent to become an actress Linda has the dedication to her students, if they work hard, to provide the opportunities that no other school or course could offer. I am truly excited to be back a Dallas Young Actors Studio again. Thank you Linda and crew.

My 12 year old son is learning so much at DYAS! He started acting in theatre and wanted to move to film/tv. The experience at DYAS is professional, positive and fun. This is a real-life experience: he has filmed on a real set, received feedback from real casting directors -- and is looking forward to meeting real Hollywood agents during the spring showcase. Linda and Xai emphasize the importance of being authentic. My son is learning to connect the script to his personal experiences. My Mother signed me up for every class imaginable to keep me busy and find out where my strengths were. I took dance classes, basketball, gymnastics, piano and everything in between. When I first learned about Dallas Young Actors Studio, I was so excited to learn all about acting! Needless to say, I found my home and stayed for 8 years. We decided to try out Dallas Young Actors Studio to foster my 7yos love of all things acting. The classes have been a lot of fun for her and it is clear she has learned a lot through her regular weekly class and the summer camp she did a few weeks ago. TV and Film acting is very different from the theater she has been doing. After participating in the Hollywood Showcase last Spring, DD was invited to Hollywood by a top agency that most kids would never even be able to get in to see. The agents and casting directors that Linda brings to Showcase are The Real Deal. DD is currently in Los Angeles with me auditioning for a TV pilot. Lindas experience in the industry (and willingness to tell me how it is) has been a great help to me as I attempt to navigate the realities of L.A. representation and auditions. Linda and her staff have taught DD how to love this brand of acting while still remaining professional on set and whether or not DD books any roles, the presentation skills and professionalism she has learned and will continue to learn at DYAS will serve her well through life. If your child is interested in an acting career or even if you just want your child to become more comfortable with public speaking and 21st century media, DYAS has a great thing going.

This place is amazing!!! My daughter started at DYAS in the acting classes at 14yrs old. She has always done theater, but really wanted to do more in TV/Film. We found DYAS and it has been wonderful! Not only has she learned acting skills, but also behind the scenes...camera, lighting, editing, sound, etc... The coaches know how to bring out the best in each student, which helps build confidence, not being afraid to speak in front of others, improvising, and so many more skills that will help them in life. Plus, my daughter is building her resume with all the experiences she is getting at DYAS. As a volunteer mom, I have learned so much from other the seasoned moms and from Linda Seto about the industry and on what my role is in helping to guide my daughter to be her very best! During the past 5 years DYAS prepared my daughter (Olivia) to be a working actress. She did acting classes that involved comedy/drama improv, scene studies, voice over, and green screen work. During one of their Talent Showcases, Olivia was picked up by The Campbell Agency, and has since been working. DYAS also helped in videotaping auditions and building her resume. Her time here has been a catalyst for her career as well supporting her during her teenage years. The facilities here are fabulous. They have a Teen Producers program that Olivia participated in where she learned behind-the-scenes lighting, sound, camera, pre-production, post-production, and producing. With this knowledge Olivia applied and was accepted into the NYU Tisch School of the Arts program in Film/TV production and will be attending this Fall 2015. Thank you so much to the staff of DYAS (Andrea, Xai, Brad and Linda) for being so supportive of Olivias desire to be in the Film/TV industry. I will keep you all posted on her career as she continues to pursue a Film/TV acting & production career.
