Dallas Swim Kids has been so helpful with scheduling my kids classes. The desk staff is always understanding and friendly. The instructors are all great! They have made all the crazy in the world a little easier to deal with. Swimming is the one thing we feel safe doing so I’m thankful they are all working with such great attitudes.

Highly over priced for birthday parties they supply nothing for $350 and 90 mins of swim time should be like $150 if you not supplying anything

I just moved to Dallas. I drove by Dallas Swim Kids and stopped in. They set me up with a trail in the mommy and me class. It was a blast! My baby had the best time. The staff is patient with the little ones. What a great place! We try the gym next week!!

Watch your children. My daughter took a semi private lesson here. The teacher turned her back and my daughter went under. I had to bang on the glass from the parents waiting area to get the teachers attention (the door to the pool is locked). The teacher was not a lifeguard and there was no lifeguard overseeing the pool. If you choose to do lessons here, please stay alert.

We have been going to Mockingbird Swim for two years now and love it!! The owners and staff there are great with the kids and very accommodating with our busy schedule. My son enjoys the water. He enjoys playing with all the kids and the instructors. My son is not afraid of the water and I love how they teach the children safety in the water every session. I would highly recommend sending your children here to get them used to the water and learn how to swim.

I have been bringing my son here for the last couple years. He just turned 6 and is doing backstrokes, side breathing techniques, and freestyle. We have enjoyed it here and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We have many friends who bring their kids here and experience the same thing. Our children love coming every week.

This place is great and just opened up a new facility which is even better. The big downside is that the new facility doesnt provide the ability to shower your kid...you still have to go home to actually shower them. This is super inconvenient and will be discouraging in the winter when you essentially have to take your wet haired kid home and re-shower them. other than that, great place, just wish they had actual showers to decrease the amount of work you have to do at home.

I have been working in the Aquatic field for a decade now. All this time i have been teaching swim lessons. During many of these years I additionally coached swim teams. The program here has the best curriculum of any I have seen for teaching young children from no experience in swimming to getting them prepared for swim teams. I have been working here for almost 2 years now and love seeing the excellent and fast progress the kids make. I especially enjoy preparing them for swim teams knowing when they leave us they are more than prepared to do well on any swim team they go on to.

I have been using Mockingbird swim for over 5 years and 2 kids (third one to start next summer). I love this place! The teachers are great and so wonderful with the children. They really care about each family and it shows in everything to flexibility in scheduling, to amazing birthday parties (which we have used as well), to parents nights out. My children are confident swimmers because of this place and that is peace of mind that is priceless.

I have had 3 children learn to swim at Mockingbird Swim over the last 6 years. The instructors are incredible at being kind and friendly yet effective in getting the kids to push their limits. Last summer, after 2 semesters of swim lessons, my not-yet-three-year-old was swimming without assistance all around our neighborhood pool. People could not believe what a strong swimmer she was at such an early age.More importantly, this swim school taught my son (with severe autism) to swim. I was hesitant to bring him to lessons because he does not speak, follows few directions and can have severe behavior problems. This did not deter them. The instructors practically begged me to let him try swim lessons 3 years ago. The result was nothing short of amazing. He quickly learned to swim independently and now can join our family in this favorite summertime activity. Now, he is taking private lessons to work on his stroke technique. The instructors here truly care about the kids they teach.

Last summer my daughter started swim lessons at Mockingbird Swim. She knew how to swim, but was not yet a strong swimmer. She made such good progress in her summer classes that I signed her up for their Pre-Swim Team in the fall. After two semesters she knows all the strokes and swimming drills and is ready to join a competitive team this year. The owners, Paul and Debbie, do a fantastic job teaching and all the other staff is very well trained. They know how to keep the classes fun and interesting for all ages! I only wish we had found Mockingbird Swim several years ago!

My 3 year old actually regressed while taking lessons here this spring, despite going twice weekly. The instructors didnt push her to grow, so she went from floating independently on her back to thinking she needed to rest her head on their shoulder, and they didnt challenge her to expand in the 3 months we were there. They were also unprofessional, constantly splashing each other and the kids in the face. The pool is so tiny that they only have them moving across about 3 feet of water (from the wall to a table they put in the middle of the pool to break it up so they can schedule more classes in the pool). They mostly pulled her from table to wall and back, so she didnt get enough room to really learn to move across the water. Wouldnt recommend. And to cancel, you have to give one months notice, so youre stuck there another month.

My son has been going to Mockingbird Swim & Total Fitness for one year and he has learned a lot from the instruction given. We have been told that he would be able to join a swim team at this time if he so chooses. The people who work at this facility are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this center to anyone. Robyn Kertz

The facility itself is unsanitary. The restrooms smell like urine. The lessons are done in 16 week semesters with little to no progress shown for my child.the whole process was unorganized and unsafe. I showed up for makeups after calling and notifying the facility and no one knew anything about it when my child showed up. When I work with them myself they are capable of much more than what the instructors allow for. It was a waste of money. The facility is not licensed for childcare and unsafe for any child. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

My children were enrolled for summer classes, however due to the poor quality I pulled them out. The facility itself is old and too small. The restrooms were dirty and smelled strongly of urine. The pool was overcrowded and out of the 5 instructors in the pool, none looked too excited to be there. The staff was rude and was not knowledgeable about the lesson curriculum.... all around this place is a disaster.

!!!Warning!!! If you value your time and your childs schedule you should go somewhere else. We signed up for beginner swim lessons for a specific time slot and day of the week. 3 weeks in, they change the schedule and do not inform us whatsoever. Showed up for our 4th lesson, only to find out that a new schedule had been implemented, and our child was not enrolled in any additional lessons. No apology or empathy, the attendant told me that we should have been informed, then tried to assign blame to someone else. They tried to reschedule for a day and time that we were not available.Aside from this blunder, the lessons were a joke. There are more learning opportunities in the bath tub. Each session was exactly the same as the last, and all we did were sing along sessions and play with toys. Not once did swimming instruction occur. I could have just as easily gone to a public pool or friends house and save the mandatory yearly enrollment fee plus the cost of each lesson. As mentioned previously, I feel like this experience was waste of our time, resources and would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. After reading some of the other reviews, the only thing I would agree with is that the bathrooms are unkept and smell of urine. TWO THUMBS DOWN. I hope someone elses buys this place and replaces the management, because its a shame that the facility s potential is in the hands of such an inept crew.
