Does not pay employees for training. The owner stated that it was her policy that she did not have to pay her employees for the first week. All of my coworkers got scammed out of pay for a whole week. Unpaid training is illegal in the United States. She is extremely greedy, so much that she argued with the Florida labor department. Treated employees awful like children. Kumon is a scam. Invest in private tutoring instead.

100% the best learning experience for our 5 year old. The owner & instructors were educated & professional. The facility is sanitized and very clean. We recommend this Kumon center for all ages.

There is no comminication between parents and staff. I get told by my child that they took a test and is on next level, what is the next level? There is no a/c in waiting area, the waiting area is not clean. My child begs to be late to not have to attend. I understand that it is self learning, but to be honest there is zero relationship between business and consumer. I have friends that have their kids enrolled in Kumon at different locations and they have a different experience and are kept aware of what their child should practice on and are given certificates and rewards. Those small actions alone create incentive for the child.

Hi, this Kumon location at Davie-Cooper City is a great Center . I give them 5 🌟Even with this Pandemic situation, the right safety precautions are followed here, that makes them a great location too!The Owner/Director is extremely nice and very smart an educated professional. Her staffs are educated and well trained with the Kumon method. She believes in communication and that is the Best part of this Center. They are very prompt on calls! ❤My daughter started when she was in 1st grade, its been a journey of 5 years now. Kumon method have helped her tremendously. She is an Honours Student 🎖. Its all because of Kumon. I really do not have to help her atall. I am happy, my daughter Monica is a student for 3 year now in this center. She is a best student in her class. Kumon Method is very good.As a bilingual parent, I never face any problem with her school homework and classworks. With this Pandemic situation Kumon ppl are really taking care of everything very nicely. We feel confident. The Owner is very knowledgeable and smart and her Assistants are very good.Its a great Kumon center. Very professionally run by the Director Ms. Farah I. I always meet her for conference, she is the best! They always call if there is any problem with studies. Very good, I am very happy. This Kumon center is very well organized and run. My daughter is enrolled in reading/comprehension and math. The program does work as I have seen her improve and her self esteem increase. My son attended Kumon in another state for 4 years (while a very good center; this one is fantastic). If you are considering Kumon for your child, please understand it is a long term commitment and the program will provide improvement for your child. You must have the patience and discipline for your childs development.

Kumon has been a stepping stone into my adult life. I currently work at Kumon of Davie/Cooper City. Kumon has taught me many great things. Each individual working at Kumon, including the owner and the secretary, are very respectable, caring, and patient. The owner and us work towards building a proper future for every student by helping them understand at their own pace. The repetition of work allows them to concentrate better and develop motor skills. The staffs at this Kumon are like family. We can depend on each other. The owner makes the environment a safe and interactive place to work at. It is an exciting experience teaching the students. Each one of them have different personalities and it is very interesting and an honor teaching the students toward their better future. I believe working at Kumon is a rewarding job. The owner and us mainly want to help each student to move forward academically and make the parents proud of their child.

I worked at Kumon of Davie- Cooper City for almost 3 years and it was one of best experience I had. While I was working there, I got to learn new things each day and meet various types of people. The owner of this Kumon center is one of the nicest, down to earth human being Ive met. She will praise you when you work beyond her expectations. However, she will guide you whenever needed. The co-workers there are very nice and work as a team. Im glad I got the opportunity to work there.

I am currently an employee at Kumon – Davie, Cooper City. It has been almost one year since I’ve been working here. I know it’s not a long time but in this one year, this place has brought many changes in my life. It’s not just a place to improve students’ learning and their skills but whoever works here is an opportunity for them to learn and see the reality of the real world. I got to learn new things every day. One of the main thing you can see is that it’s a highly diverse place with various races, religions, and languages. I’ve also experienced that everyone is willing to help each other when in need. The staff here are very cooperative, understanding, mature and most importantly respective. In fact, the owner of this place makes it feel like a second home since she’s extremely kind and considerate. Our main goal is to make a difference in the students’ lives and make them confident, independent and smarter than they already are. We deliver everything needed to make this change.

This is a excellent organization that uses many helpful resources for children of all ages in grades k-12. As a parent, my childs math skills have improved so much. As my son didnt really have much faith in his own answers, with the help from his teacher at Kumon he has gained confidence when doing his work. The owner and employees are wonderful people with helpful motives to make sure that every child receives the assistance they need with their studies. And the same thing applies to parents who are in need of information or assistance.

I am currently an employee at Kumon of Davie- Cooper City. I have been working here for almost 3 years and I dont regret one day of it. As an employee working here, I was able to meet different people from different religions and race. I am still until this very day is meeting new people from all over in our kumon center. The families, kids, and my co-workers are very kind, generous, down to earth people. The owner of this Kumon center is a strong, confident, trustworthy, kind women who also has a family of her own. She treats the families she enroll as if it was her own. She always accommodate them all no matter the circumstances.

I am not sure about other locations of Kumon but this location is horrible. There is very little communication between staff and parents. This place seems that ALL they care about is $$$. They (Ms. FARAHANA) charged us during the COVID-19 pandemic fully for March, April and May even though they were closed and there was a stay at home order by the governor and we couldnt leave the house. They still decided that because they need 30 days notice it is OK to charge money through a PANDEMIC. Kumon - YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED AS A COMPANY. BTW, this is a franchise so its privately owned by Ireene Farhana who is basically a sales person to hook students to her facility. ALL ABOUT $$$$$$$ SHAME ON YOU

The Kumon located in Davie/ Cooper City has played an important part in improving my child’s studies. Im surprised to see all the accusations in these reviews because my experience with them was completely different. I first walked through the doors because I was curious and heard good reviews from other parents and it has exceeded my expectations! The employees were happily willing to help and set up meetings so I can be updated with my child’s improvements. My son used to be so shy and not focus on his work causing me to worry if that would become a habit but now he’s ahead of his peers and continues to work hard. As a mother, I feel glad that I enrolled my child.

Kumon Offers excellent programs that guarantee success.My daughter attended Kumon for 5 years at this location. Great atmosphere.I am amazed with her progress and I do recommend this awesome center to all children. I am pleased with the entire staff .Especially Mrs. IREEN describes the structure of doing work in detail and a very positive way . what is even more important is that the kumon has provided my child with confidence and showed her concealed abilities of hers.It’s a wonderful way to get students to understand the importance of “SELF - LEARNING “

We have sent our daughter followed by our son, to this center for the past five years. We watched and observe as both kids have intellectually grown in reading, comprehension, algebraic expressions, and subsequently test scores. Indeed, with this program and the structured approach; they are stellar academically.I appreciate the parent who informed me about Kumon and I highly recommend Kumon for any and every chiId.

Director of this place is very unresponsible person. Payments are charged unpredictably (we finished the program but payments were kept deducted from my account for another 2 months until I block them). Director doesn’t face the problems, though conversations to the girls up front ...Program itself is way to stratched - so it doesn’t worth that money. You as a parent basically do all the work everyday. You can buy a Kumon book and go over it with your child ... Better to have a tutor!

I used to work at Kumon and my experience was good. Everyone was helpful, if there was anything anyone needed help with we would all work together. Treat the children with respect, help them understand what they were working on, wether it be Math or Reading so that they could have the confidence at school and at the center to become better and be independent. It was a great time for me working there and would recommend it to anyone.

My son who is in 4th grade now has been enrolled in reading and math for 3 years and is a straight A student in the gifted program. Kumon works as we have seen him improve and become faster at solving math problems. He became very confident especially at math and that made us very happy too.If you are considering Kumon for your child, please understand it is a long term commitment and there will be homeworks need to be done every day. These daily homeworks will help your child be more organized and disciplined and become a better learner eventually. My son started at this Kumon center when he was four. The owner of this center is very knowledgeable and professional. She takes care of each family personally and has trained her staff very well. They updated me with my sons progress time to time and laid a great foundation for him in maths. He completed 7th grade maths in 5th grade. I went to Kumon desperate, looking for help for my son, he was borderline failing the 3rd grade. I signed him up on March 5th. He was getting Ds & Fs thanks to this Kumon he ended the 4th quarter with As & Bs even got Honor Roll. Im extremely grateful for their dedication to put my son on the right track!!!Chase loves Kumon

I scheduled an appointment to take the initial assessment. I arrive at my scheduled time. I sat in the lobby filling out the paperwork and my child went in to assess. I found it very difficult to fill out the paperwork as the employees at this facility were having a very long and LOUD discussion. I looked in the window to see what my child was doing and could see that she was having a hard time focusing on her questions because of the conversation that was going on behind her. Theres a very large and clear sign on the door that says please turn off your cell phones because students are working. The sign also said to be quiet because students are hard at work. I knocked on the door and asked the instructor to come to the door. I told her that this is completely unprofessional. There are signs on the door that asked for quite and they were making so much noise that I could hear them talk badly about students they currently have. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that she would be gone for 2weeks. I took her card as the woman then tried to explain to me that they were talking about the work. I told her it doesnt matter. It was completely unacceptable for any child to take a test with the three of them talking as loud as they were.I left immediately!

Dont waste your money!My daughter is in 4th grade, and i wanted her to get some help with Math, but this is a joke. She attended only 3 lessons and in all of them they waste half of the time explaining here about the system of Kumon, when I tried to complain about it, the owner of this branch asked me to meet her with my daughter in her office, she wanted to hear from her what happened, but when we came to meet her whenever my daughter was trying to explain what was going on in the lesson, she didnt let her talk and put things in her mouth!!! And then she claimed that the system is like this that they have to explain over & over again about how things are working there...... I didnt send my daughter to work there, I send her to get help in Math!!!! And even when I first complain over the ph to the secretary she was nicer and tried to offer compensation lesson, better than the owner answer....Even though we attend only 3 lessons she refuse to refund the money, also we didnt get any $30 Amazon gift card that they promise you from Kumon!!!!Like I said, its all one big joke on the parents. Get your kid $5 math practice book and put him a stopper everyday for 30 minutes to sit and do it, and you will get even better resolute!!!

Struggling with keeping up with our daughters school standards in Kindergarten we were searching for any program that could help. Her school offered tutoring but in no way shape or form could present the curriculum or plan. Her confidence was low and every parent teacher meeting left us feeling helpless since we were doing everything we could to boost skills at home.A close friend of our reccomended Kumon at the one at the Tower Shops after hearing our daughter was doing summer school instead of camp. We started her immediatly the next week and we were astonished at the mountains she had overcome during the summer.When the school year began she was not even phased at her classwork and in our household Kumon became mandatory before homework. You know eat the frog first kind of thinking. It is a lot of work on top of homework and at times we were concerned if she was working to hard.Than she started getting faster and faster at mathematical computations. She began reading harder and harder books. Her handwriting improved. Most importantly she became disciplined all her own. Looking forward to her next Kumon buck and getting dissapointed when she had not completed the work. She was confident and assertive in her classroom.The owner requires a sit down every six months and has an open appointment policy whenever we feel as though our daughter is struggling. She definitely a no nonsense woman but was always very helpful when we needed. As an unconventional family with mt husband being asian and adopted our latin and caucasian daughter we never experienced racism?The owner was nothing but helpful and even worked hard to find another Kumon in our new location. Thank you Mrs. Ireen and all the tutors that helped our daughter get to where shes at. Were happy to day our daughter is a Kumon kid!

I have had my daughter there for over 8 months. She is in pre-k currently and since being there her math and reading skills have gotten so much better. She had low confidence and self-esteem cause she felt she didnt know things like the kids in her class.. Since being there she has done amazing. She is almost at a 2nd grade level. I read some other reviews and cannot believe that ppl are saying the owner is racist and prejudice. She is far from it.. They have all religions attend there and everyone pays the same monthly fee. The owner is such an amazing person who wants to make sure every child gets the attention and help they need in their studies.
