There teachers here are amazing. They have a system about redoing test taking, and corrections that I love! There football games are amazing and super fun during half-times. There volleyball games are great too. They rarely dress code you and its a fun school to go to. Lots of Denton Spirit!!! But they need to improve in there pep rallies and lunch food....

I give this school a one star because the staff nor teachers give these students what they really need. My younger sister attends to this school and what Ive been hearing of what all goes on sounds very unprofessional and I do not know how they have not had any complaints before. My sister has been going to this school for about 2 years and has been bullied and shoved in the locker based off not only her religion (Muslim) but based off her learning disorder and disability. Now I am hearing another Student has been name calling my sister, telling her to shut up and that she is stupid and that nobody loves her? And my younger sister has said she spoken to the counselor about it and they had said to ignore it and walk the other way? But the incident is still happening and the teachers, principal and staff has yet to deal with this bullying issue nor do they seem concerned? So I called in and to see if they will deal with this matter in a much better way rather than sweeping it under the rug and if this matter is not issued I will make some phone calls and take this matter in my own hands because I do not tolerate this. I will make sure that not only I will announced all over the schools page about their lack of their job but to the media as well. This is ridiculous and needs to be dealt with and i will make sure of it. Its sad honestly and i am hoping that the staff makes a better effort for these students. Thank you for your time I hope this review has helped some of those who needed to know what the school is actually like.

Its a decent place. Some teachers are nice and helpful while others could care less what happens to you. The staff does a good job at keeping the place clean, but the restrooms will get nasty by the end of the day... Due to its location in the middle of a neighborhood its fairly easy to find places where you can skip at, just beware of the patrolling APs.

This school wasnt that bad while all these other people are entitled to there opinions. last year was my freshman year of high school and first full year of public school and it was rocky around the edges but it was fun I enjoyed going to school most of the time even though thats not something I would admit to my parents. School lunch was Ok sometimes. Classes were good especially with the teachers that have been there for a while. Yes you had your occasional fights but what school doesnt I wish I could still go to Denton High School. I met a lot of cool people that I didnt expect to come In relations with..

Very helpful staff. They have a Air Force JROTC. Great sports facility and location.

Just started my freshmen year and its been pretty good. Until the disrespectful assistant principals threatening me and talking about taking my hat. Theres this one especially, shes the worst one.

My younger sister goes to this school and is calling me almost every day crying or angry because some punk kids at school are bullying her and pushing her in to lockers every day! She says the teachers are not helpful and she gets picked on and I know some of it is because she is different. She is Muslim and she has learning disability. I will be making a call tomorrow or meet up with The principal about this if I have to and see where it goes because I will not tolerate this. So far i give it a 1 star because this is unexceptable. If she is getting pushed around and picked on every day then where are the teachers and authorities ? I will have to see where it goes because I am beyond upset about this. She seems to never have a good day at school nor can focus on her work because she is so worried and focused on how every one is treating her and that is not fair.

So far this school year, my experience with Denton High School is that it is the biggest bureaucracy I have ever seen. I would give it less than one star if that was possible. They make you jump through hoops to get anything accomplished with registration or changing registration. The counseling office says do everything on-line but nothing works on-line and additionally the students have to rely on a homeroom teacher to even gain a log-on ID and password so that they can even meet with a counsellor. We have now waited over 3 weeks trying to get the log-on.The only positive aspect of this whole mess is that at least it teaches the students that they need to develop the patience of a saint to tolerate this much disorganization and laziness from all the staff in order to get one small thing accomplished.If there is any way you can live in a different part of Denton to avoid sending your kids to this school then do that.

It could be better. I am halfway through my senior year and I am only slightly losing control of my life. A friend of mine has recalled stepping over cannabis leaves and used condoms. In 2015 I fondly remember a bacon incident in which the entire connector hall smelled strongly of bacon for a good two days. I ended up discovering and walking over the bacon on the second day. Good students that can be great friends and staff/teachers are nice

I attended DHS for all 4 years and this highschool was a mess. From a twitter page titled DHS Hoes with naked pictures of young girls attending DHS on it to moldy vegetables in the cafeteria. From a substitute teacher who, apparently, was the previous principal to the school, condoning another girl to fight me in class after I asked him to step in while she was screaming in my face and him replying I deserve it. To a teacher telling another student that I was stupid and the student basically advertised it in class. This schools one big circus, theyve got everything from sex predator scandals every school year to fights in the halls on a daily basis. I felt as though they would rather spend money updating athletic facilities than trying to hire more qualified teachers and staff. I always thought highschool as a teenage girl would be more drama between the cliques and less drama about the school itself. Theres a few diamonds in the rough when it comes to teachers, but not many. The counseling department is the one department in the school with, what seemed like, fully capable, caring and not burnt out staff members. I made a lot of memories in the time I was there, unfortunately, most of them are bad memories.

If your child goes here and they tell you teachers are picking on them or lying on them its true. Im saying this from experience.

I graduated from Denton High School. The teachers and administration really do care about you. The administration has an open door policy. If you ever have a problem go talk to an assistant principal. Even the principal himself talks to students.
