There is a reason that they call Texas Womans University, Texas Wonderful University. They had a nice low-cost dental clinic …… I don’t know if they still have it. Even though there is “Woman” in this university’s name, you will find many men who are also students here.

Im a parent of an incoming freshman. This is all new for me and my daughter and we did have questions and needed help here and there. Some of the staff is unwilling to help and rush you off the phone. Very unprofessional to me.

Scenic campus, excellent staff provides interactive learning environment. Top tier nursing schools in the country. Safe campus, easy access to food and entertainment.

I love the TWU bookstore. I stopped by to get a gift for my wife, an alumni. Very friendly store manage too. Michelle is her name. Will be back.

Excellent with MAJOR security patrol! Rest assured that your daughter will be about as safe as possible on this large campus. Nothing is perfect but TWU takes their security serious. Thats my observation, anyway.

I really like the school. So far we havent had commuty spread of covid in our classroom and the teachers are nice while still giving a quality education. Would absolutely reccomend checking the school out.

Not a deaf friendly!!! When I was announced deaf. They were so mean to me and then I tried to explain to them. They hang up on me.

This is a very nice university. Faculty, staff, students are very cooperative and friendly here.

First semester, challenging but caring faculty, got a free flu shot from student health services today, nursing students in the building were really sweet and caring. Feels like a family setting at TWU.

Quality education at affordable prices. I have taken many classes there and every professor has been knowledgable and caring. They are a nurturing campus and dont want to weed out students like some other colleges.

Great University

I have been at TWU for over two years. The campus is amazing, and the classes are great. However, it is a pain dealing with financial aid, the bursars office, and pretty much any other office on campus. You cannot count on any kind of refund to arrive until well after the semester has started, you WILL NOT receive responses to emails, calls half the time dont even go through. The classes are the only reason why I stay at this school, and even then I am still thinking about transferring. If you need a school that you know for sure you can count on, you might want to look else where.

I have read the reviews and I never had a negative experience as a graduate African American student at TWU. My professors and advisor have been awesome and so helpful. I never felt discriminated against. I never since a feminist mentality where men do not feel welcome. I only experience a positive experience.

This is truly a great, smaller university. I love the smaller class sizes and the professors seem to know their course extremely well. I wish the nursing school wasnt so hard to get into/competitive, but it is one of the best for a reason

Ever since I have transferred to TWU, I have been miserable. I was an excellent student before coming here. Some of their professors are beyond rude. They basically consider you trash, even though youre the one paying for their paychecks. Not all of them are bad, Dr. Wheeler and Sara Evans are amazing. I am constantly receiving put downs from processors. I asked one of my previous professors a question and she replied that the rubric was clear because she wrote it and moved on without answering me. I had another one, who was completely online, I accidentally was spelling her name wrong. She gave me SIX zeros for this. I would highly reccomend paying higher university costs than coming here. Their professors are bullies.

Terrible school. My fiancé is getting ready transfer out because of how terrible the campus living situation is. If you’re looking to attend this school as a freshman or sophomore I’d avoid this school like the plague and attend a university that actually cares about their students’ safety on campus. The administration and whoever runs parking on campus have no clue how much they’ve messed up. Making parliament village resident students walk over a half mile to park when there’s literally a parking lot right in front of their dorm building is just one example of how clueless the administration is. Well over half of the sophomore residence of my fiancé’s dorm floor have left the university after just one semester in the new parliament village dorms!

I attended here for two years and I have to say it was wonderful. Everything from making my application, fiancial aid, to graduation it was smooth.Just like at any others school, you do have research the instructors and their teaching methods.Above anything ask questions about everything!

Worst school of them all. They hire professors others school dont want (hint the cheapest tuition for students is for a reason). Do not take Professor PHILLIP YANG for sociology! Expect to be forced to change your beliefs and to fight for your grade if you dont agree with his opinions. Chancellor doesnt respond to students when it comes to complaints (unless it is in the media) she is ONLY there to collect a check. Document and save all everything in writing keep a paper trail and sue!

I’m a transfer student, so I’ve only been here a semester. The classes and professors are really nice, but the FINANCIAL AID here is beyond words. I’ve never saw anything like it at any other school. I did my financial aid back in June of 2018 when I decided to look into TWU, the semester is almost over and all of my funds still have not been released. It makes it harder on you, especially if you are from out of state. There is never anyone that can help you either seems like and it’s so frustrating. I just wish someone would have warned me. Hopefully it gets better, because I love denton and TWU, but the financial aid is very, very unprofessional. It’s something to think about before deciding to go here!

We came to TWU with our daughter after the deadline for scholarships. Yet 3 different people went immediately to work to see if there was a way to help. They treated us like gold and as if we were the most important people in the world. Every business can learn from them in the treatment of customers. We have several kids that have attended many tours and universities, none can compare to the positive response and kindness we received from the amazing people in the Student Life Department at TWU.

Review: The math major in the STEM fields had far more men than women. Texas A&Ms math majors are mainly for men. First, TWU was an all girl school until 1972, then, TWU is now the largest university primarily for women in the US(with the student body being approximately 90% female) while the boys that apply to TWU will be admitted without restrictions with 1/9 of the enrollment.(A lot of boys go there because of the 15000+ TWU Enrollment and it became coed in 1994) While men would like to apply to the TWU math major because its a male oriented class with the most pretty females, they need to also take 3 credit hours of gender and womens studies, not only the male oriented courses.(Math and Science) For boys who dont want to take womens studies, Choose the A&M math major with the most girls, Not the TWU. If the boys going to TWU are uncomfortable going to the coed dorm rooms having mainly women, the athletics being all girls, and the undergraduate and graduate programs with far more girls than boys, transfer to Texas A&M instead while TWU is an amazing university with the boys and girls being very friendly, handsome, and pretty with financial aid being the best. Athletics: A&M athletics are allowed for boys, but not TWU. Dictionary: primarily means mainly. Summary: TWU is the largest university primarily for women, but any boys that apply here will be also admitted as well too. It also has better aid than A&M.Main Idea: How TWU is primarily for women and is it good for the admitted boys here?

I dont attend, as I graduated college in another state over a decade ago, but I live in the area and this is a great safe place to go for a walk with my two little kids. Gorgeous campus.

I used to love TWU due to the close proximity of everything and it being a small campus, but my last semester ruined my complete view of TWU. I went through so many obstacles to graduate early so I could support myself due to getting away from an emotionally abusive marriage and from being kicked out of a place. I was told I wouldnt be able to find a job with my degree as well as being told I wouldnt graduate early. Well I did graduate early but TWU decided to not process my paperwork correctly and make my graduation date for the next semester. I was applying for jobs in June which is when I finished everything I needed to do and all of that was useless due to them telling every company I applied for that I had not graduated, when everything was complete. So now instead of graduating in June my graduation date is August. I was also told that my degree is useless and the best job I would be able to get would be working at T-Mobile or a paint store. They do not help you find a job, they will put your confidence down, and they will do everything in their power to make sure you dont get a job. I recommend UNT to anyone thinking this school will support them and help them. I recieved no help finding a job nor did I even get my degree on time. I didnt receive an apology or a way to fix it, I was blamed for it. Every step I tried to make it seems like they stepped me down. I am not the only one who was treated this way a lot of people at graduation expressed they were told there degree was useless as well. Why is TWU supplying degrees if they think it wont get you a better job? They do not support women or their students.

Honestly, this school doesnt even teach. They just scream their liberal beliefs at you nonstop. Seriously. Non stop. They feel the need to push their ideaology on all their students. Usually I dont like to give bad reviews but Ive never been in any atmosphere so dark as twu. That aside, the literal education was very low quality. I was very studious and got out feeling like I didnt get a degree! Education professors gave minimal effort assignments and you learning nothing. It was awful. Maybe its better for different majors. Even the graduation speech was just a lady pushing her liberal viewpoints like they were facts. Very angry bitter feminist school. Im all for womans rights but this school is like the definition of the radical far, far left in school form. This school is very against Christians and Biblical views. My Christian friend went there too and was so shoved their wordly beliefs that she started preaching the same stuff just because he professors told her. Shes not even following Christ anymore! Very bad feeling atmosphere. I mean I get that its a public school and not a private Christian school but its like no other public school Ive ever been to. Even the Christian clubs on campus advertised s-x nights. I went to watch a school play and it was as dirty as an R rated movie. Too many professors abusing their chance to teach young people as a way to push their humanistic beliefs and far left ideaology. This school needs serious prayer :(

I have to say this was a ok school if they cared about its students. I got two bad roommates who were both racist abd very dependent on me. And when asked the school for help they ignored me. There are a lot of cases like this. The food is gross but you are forced to eat there if you live in a dorm. This school was the biggest mistake of my life

I havent attended here, but I have lived in Denton my entire life and I can tell you that TWU has a beautiful campus with a town with plenty to do. Also TWU has one of the top nursing programs in the nation.

I go to school here and I like it. I also go to work here, so it gets kind of tiring sometimes. I drive from lewisville to Denton on the weekdays, and the commute is the only thing that I can complain about. The campus is beautiful, the gym is empty, and the campus have many places where you can seat down and study.

So satisfied, nice campus great friendly staff. Keep up the good work!!!
