Hands down the best esthetics school in Colorado.I have had the most wonderful experience at this school the past 4 months, and I will say the curriculum is unlike any other beauty school. I attended cosmetology school 10 years ago and felt like I was only prepared to pass the state boards. I feel beyond prepared going out into the work force without needing an internship and feeling so confident in my abilities heading into the workforce. Most of the instructors genuinely want you to learn and succeed and they push you out of your comfort zone to help you get there. I am so happy to have chosen this school and will forever be grateful for the opportunity. If you are thinking about it do it! It was beyond worth it!

Within days, the administration and instructors had to completely revamp their entire program to keep us all safe, engaged, and supported. It was incredible how SBMA developed a complete online curriculum on the fly and pushed forward. We were able to safely perform in clinic with other students to get practical experience and connect face to face while being masked of course. I sincerely cant recommend this program enough. I absolutely loved going to school here! All of the teachers worked very hard to give us an amazing learning experience during the pandemic. Considering all of my classes were via zoom and we were not able to work with the public during our clinic hours, I graduated with full confidence in everything we learned. I felt extremely prepared for my board exams and passed both the practical and the written portion on the first try with no problem. I never felt uncomfortable asking questions or just chatting with the instructors. So happy to be licensed thanks to these amazing people!

I truly enjoyed my training program at SBMA. They have a range of instructors with different backgrounds/experience which gave me a good range of training. Today, as I am nearing the end of my schooling and beginning my prep for the State Board exams, I want to share, a review of my experience as a student (who has already obtained other degrees). I will state it simply- I got what I came for, a solid education.The workload is rigorous, thorough, extensive covering a broad academia of information, yet detailed and complete; textbook/workbook, class lectures, in person hands-on student clinic, ASCP webinars, product knowledge, etc.Available is a flexible Aesthetics program entailing a schedule in total of 600 hours, a combination of class lectures and hands-on training- learning an extensive array of services; Detox Body Ritual, Back-tial, Reflexology, HFM, Facials (Natural/Medical), Facial Massage, Brow/Lash Tinting, Brow Laminating, Lash Lifting, Waxing (soft/hard, Sugar-optional), Aromotherapy, Makeup, Anatomy, Physiology, Skin Analysis, Nutrition.My license (post obtaining the initial Esthetician license), will also include: certification in Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning and Chemical Peels. Yes! This is all included in your initial tuition, how can you fail- you can not!Time is never wasted, no lesson/instruction denied, no opportunity too small, but instead teaching was collectively expanded upon and the learning/understanding is encompassed with the goal of mastering specific and numerous skills, first introduced and then solidified. It is awesome!The training does not cease, the material does not allow for shortcuts, excuses... nor did my instructors allow me to wallow in confusion or frustration but instead continued to encourage me to persevere, practice, ask questions and continue to try again. But here the opportunity presented itself, allowing for my desire and energy to be received and returned in the form of a positive and continuing process, allowing for me to meet and obtain my goals and objectives.I have heard from other students seeking to obtain their Esthetics education (at other schools), an unfortunate denial of necessary support, and the lacking of quality in education. I start out by saying I moved to Colorado from California specifically for this school, thats how amazing it is. I was apart of the esthetics program, I was a little nervous to start school in the middle of a pandemic but they took all of the safety precautions they could to keep everyone safe and stay open. I was able to complete a good amount of my hours online as well in micro clinic. I love their holistic and healing approach to everything. The teachers truly care about their students and want to see them succeed. I learned so much from my instructors specifically Nicole, Michelle and Jen. All of the instructors come from different esthetic backgrounds and are very knowledgeable and helpful. This school is the best esti school out there. Students and instructors were so kind and always willing to help and answer questions. I learned and feel very confident in performing the many different services including advanced exfoliations I learned. They did a really good job preparing me for my state board exam, I took it yesterday and passed! If you pay cash/card tuition in full they give you a discount which was nice. I finished the program in 2 1/2 months because of all of the online work they allow you to do. If youre looking for an esthetician school this is it!

I love that they offer part-time evening classes so that I was able to work and be a Mom while also going back to school- something I never thought Id be able to do. I was referred to this school by the women I was already seeing for my services that had gone to the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics themselves and spoke so highly of it. It is the most affordable and yet also the most extensive training you can get. AND it is super convenient with options for full-time, part-time, evenings or weekends AND they have their own full service clinic so you can knock out your training hours. I did the immersion program and then leisurely did my clinic hours and exams and was still licensed in less than a year!On top of that, the locations are central in Denver, the staff is incredible, and you can get trainings in additional modalities to make you marketable for your career. I was offered jobs before I was even done! THIS ONE. THIS is the school for you!

I toured, meet with admin, sat in on a class, and had a student treatment at 3 different Colorado esthetics schools before choosing SBMA. I enrolled in the Immersion program, that front loads the 200 hours of theory. Classes started early April. I had no idea how it would all play out amidst a pandemic, yet I still met my goal of being licensed in October.Being the first post Covid program, I was very impressed how the school pivoted without skipping a beat, and they have only improved with online content.The instructors are all amazing. They are very professional, yet also your friend. Hillary, the owner, is personally involved on a day to day basis. The admin ladies are to melt over with how sweet and helpful they are.In clinic, I did over 300 hours, and also did an internship. I am happy to say, I made some life-long friendships.I felt well prepared for my practical and written exams.I am excited for what is next in as I start my 2nd career in the esthetics world. I am a recent graduate student from the 600 hour Aesthetics Program and Ive had an amazing experience here!!I started school at the beginning of April and did the immersion program. It took 5 weeks to complete the 200 hour class and my peers and I became so close. My main instructors were Martin and Belinda. Theyre so knowledgeable in this industry and you can really see through their passion. The rest was obtaining 400 clinical hours. The school is growing so much that they even expanded the aesthetics clinic to a new location that is about 15-20 minutes away from the Denver location. With the new spacious clinic, theres so much more space and it feels very welcoming. As a student I was able to create my own schedule that best worked for me. It was really flexible that I was able to work at my other job and go to clinic full time. You can even do full day shifts, morning and evening shifts as well. By mid November I completed all my hours!!I was excited to start my next journey, but it was soo bittersweet leaving. I met so many more students that were in the program at different times and it really became an place where it felt like family. The instructors there really provide guidance and everybody was always willing to step in and help! I didnt have Jen as an instructor, but she was always supervising clinic. Jen is probably one of the sweetest and most passionate people I have ever met! She really began to grow on me. At times when I was nervous to perform a service, she really encouraged me that I can do it. Im so grateful for her and everyone there and I miss them all so so much.The school really prepares you for the practical portion of the exam! I passed the written and practical tests in December and while most of the studying happens at home, I felt really prepared and its still so surreal that Im now a Licensed Esthetician in Colorado.Overall my experience here has been incredibly amazing. Its a very supportive and safe environment and the amount of love I received is something Ill always be thankful for. This school hands down offers a better facial than youll receive ANYWHERE. The students receive top quality training. Theyre very attentive, knowledgeable and make the hour experience above and beyond. The prices for all services are a steal. Ive been coming to this clinic for several years and try to make it a monthly treat. Ive taken advantage of every service they offer and have consistently had great experiences. Ive brought several friends with me who are all repeat customers. Once you experience the quality of the services here youll never want to go anywhere else. All of the teachers and staff are amazing. I feel well prepared not only to practice aesthetics safely, but confident in what Ive learned from some of the best professionals in Colorado. I love learning, I love being a student again. Former SBMA student here-First off, I just want to say that this school, truly, changed my life. I first started attending when my daughter was only 10 months old, but because of their class schedules, I was not only able to spend more than enough time with my daughter (without having to worry about childcare), but I also finished my whole program in 10 months.Not only were the instructors incredible, but I really felt prepared to go out into the “real world” with my new knowledge of skin care.It was instructors like Jennifer (who I had during most of the duration at the school) that made me feel confident in myself. When I started to feel like I couldn’t do something, she would always whisper “you’ve got this!” in my ear. Any question I had, Jennifer had the answer. I recently graduated from School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics and I feel it was life changing because it gave me the direction to reach my career and life goals. Learning a combination of medical and holistic approaches to skin care ensured that I will be able to help any client with their skin care needs. The dynamic teachers made sure we had the knowledge to be the best in the industry. They really showed they cared and invested in my life by challenging me to excel in every aspect of the curriculum. The owner made sure to have top of the line, organic products to work with in clinic and really cares about every detail of the school. She motivated me by her thorough knowledge of the industry. The professionalism of everyone who works there can not be overstated. Im so glad I chose this school to start my new career!

By the end of my hours here at this school I can say I loved my experience. I attended the morning classes for the Esthetician program. In the beginning it was hard but by the end I had learned so much and was having a lot of fun. I enjoyed learning from the amazing teachers it didnt even feel like school. I was able to earn my hours through the student clinic where I could practice all the services. By the end of my hours I felt fully confident in my skills and couldnt wait to start my new career. I would absolutely recommend this school to anyone who wanted to start their aesthetic journey but I would have to say the only downside is parking can be a nightmare. Thank you to everyone, especially Martin, Belinda, Emily, Kristy and Molly, who helped make this a positive experience! I am truly going to miss my time here.

I attended this school and graduated from the esthetician program. They teach you everything you need to know to pass the boards. Other than that the instructors, admins, and even the owner of the school are petty. I found this attitude/example sometimes encouraged students to be petty as well. It could be viewed as toxic.

I am currently a student @ The School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics and couldnt have asked for better instructors! They are seasoned professionals with extensive experience and a broad range of knowledge! They are well respected and valued by the student base, of who feel confidently equipped to pursue many different and diverse areas of this industry.

I can’t rave enough about this school.. To be honest I chose this school because of the weekend program, and I got so lucky! It really is an amazing curriculum. Jennifer was my main instructor and she sooooooooooooo amazing. She shared many personal stories that gave me an idea of what to expect in this field. I know if I’m every stuck or have a question she is my go-to. Thanks Jenn ❤️Martin taught me his way of facials and facial massage. Gave me some great tips along the way. One day I hope to be as good as him! I didn’t get Belinda as an instructor but just working with her in clinic and being a teacher assistant , I’ve learned so much. She shares so much knowledge in the small amount of time I spend with her. That’s the beauty of it, having different instructors and picking up all different techniques. They have recently added Kat(makeup and more) in and I know she is a great addition to the team. I know I’ll leave here with all the confidence and knowledge to start my new career. One of the best facials Ive had, I forgot I was at a school! You feel comfortable the moment you walk into the school and are instantly greeted. The student was very attentive and thorough and it feels AMAZING!!! You cant beat the price for what felt like a real spa experience!

The best place for self care, they use a variety of products and one of my most favorites is George Martins Skin Care line BlOOM, if you like locally made highly intentional products. I had a backial and my student Danielle couldnt have done a better job at just what I needed which was to RELAX! Its an art creating relaxation, not as easy as it sounds. The right mix of long strokes and a great head massage. They serve wine in August, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also the instructors love their job and it shows in their attention to the clients and students. The instructor asked if the steam felt ok on my back and gently reminded the student to check in. IT felt AMAZING. Can I keep going.... Yes on Tuesday next week :)

Oh my god, where do I start? Both as a graduate and now client of this school, I recommend it to a lot of my friends and even some of my clients. Martin is a wonderful teacher and a delight to talk with about skin products or your life. I love his line available at the school and use one of his toners daily. Emily is a sweetheart and makes sure that everyone is comfortable whether youre receiving or giving the service. I use Sanitas daily and cant wait to get my cbd facial as theyre now offering Color Up Therapeutics. I already use this line for two of my dogs, and I need to try it on myself. Parking is very limited so plan ahead!

I have been going to Denver esthetician school for years, my last session was just as incredible as my first!I went in for a waxing and I had such a great experience. The esthetician that worked on me was so professional. As soon as I got there I was taken in for my appointment.Once I got on the table she walked me through the whole process and made sure I was super comfortable.I love how they have so many people around to help, you feel really taken care of!The waxing itself went fast and I was in and out in an hour.I love the results and I am so excited to have a place I can take care of myself and at fraction of the cost of other places! I love this place!!

Excellent school to attend if you are getting your esthetics license! The curriculum is very thorough and from what I know, the school is working to expand on the services they teach all the time. Very affordable compared to the larger schools and smaller class sizes so that the learning environment is more personal. I’m happy to say that I entered my career feeling fully confident in my abilities because of the experience and guidance I received in class and at the student clinic. Anytime I come across an individual looking to become educated in esthetics, I recommend SBMA without hesitation. I’m so proud to have been a student here and the educators are INCREDIBLE.

I chose to attend SBMA because of its comprehensive course offering, competitive cost of tuition, and weekend only class option (due to my full time job). The instructors are highly skilled and knowledgeable, and they do more than just teach you the basics. They show you how to care for your clients and how to provide top notch services. Additionally, there are tons of elective classes they have that can count towards your hours and provide you with even more training/exposure to different treatment modalities. I chose the school of medical and botanical esthetics, well because, the name says it all, the curriculum was the perfect blend of natural and medical esthetics. I was going through some life changes, recently divorced, looking for a fresh start and knew I was ready to do what I really wanted to do. No more doing what I was supposed to do. I met with 3 other schools before deciding on applying to SMBA. The fact that they also offer night and weekend classes was super convenient. It allowed me to work while still attending classes. The staff are AMAZING and even as the quiet one I never once felt invisible. Any question Ive had on this journey has been answered with patience, love, & support. They really want us all to succeed. I feel truly blessed by my whole experience at SMBA. Im proud when I tell people which school I attended.

I was a student here and enrolled in the May Morning Program in 2018. I learned so much from the instructors, and had lots of hands-on practice in our student clinic. I felt prepared and well educated to conquer the world as a new esthetician. Learning both botanical and the medical side of Aesthetics was why I chose this school in the first place.I felt that it would further more prepare me for being a professional esthetician by giving me more opportunities in employment. I am very pleased with the School and staff at the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics. I believe that this program is the best in the Denver Metro Region . I feel as though it is affordable and the hands on training is by far the best preparation to help myself and other students become an amazing esthetician.

I initally chose this school because it was the only one I could find with a true weekend only schedule. Im so glad I did!!! This school is amazing! The curriculum manages to blend medical esthetics and botanical esthetics seamlessly! The added certifications that that you normally pay for are also included (microderm, dermaplaning, chem peels).And the instructors are even better than the curriculum. Theyre all either currently practicing or have recently left the practicing world to teach. No instructors teaching things for 20 years ago and the staff is varied in their specialties. One instructor has his own skincare line and is a botanical guru, another teacher comes from the world of medical lasers and theyre all amazing. They teach because they love it and it shows.In addition to the classroom experience the hands on experience is equally as special. Every school clinic Ive been to felt like just that...a school clinic. DIMS is different - it really feels like a spa whether your just learning how to perform services or working during the open clinic days.The only part I havent mentioned yet is Hillary and the rest of the office staff. They are just as amazing as everyone else. You can tell immediately that this isnt just a business for Hillary - this is her baby. They go above any beyond to make sure that every student gets the best possible education while working independently with student to accommodate any personal conflicts or interests.I drive and hour each way to school - there were 3 other schools within 15 minutes of my house and you couldnt pay me to switch.Also- if your looking for reasonably priced services in a welcoming spa atmosphere check out their clinic services open to the public!!!-Ashley

I took the Esthetics Immersion 5 week course at this school and loved my experience! The office staff and teachers here are accommodating, friendly and helpful. In 5 weeks I learned everything from basic facial knowledge to chemical peels and dermaplanes. After the 5 weeks were over I started my independent internship, which the school staff personally approved. The approval process was seamless and easy. Now after only 3 months of interning I have completed all required 600 hours and am ready to take my State Boards! DIMS completed all of my paperwork within less than a week of submitting it and made sure I knew the necessary steps to getting the State Boards scheduled. This whole process has been a great experience and I am so happy to have found this school!

I had an amazing experience at SBMA! I graduated two years ago from their aesthetics program. I truly feel that my education from the school has created a great foundation for the rest of my career. Not only did I get an incredible education from well experienced instructors, I have also made relationships and connections that will last a lifetime.The curriculum was well rounded and the hands on experience is invaluable. Their student clinic allowed me to complete my practical hours in a timely manner and gave me tons of “real life” experience. They also offer continuing education courses which allows me to explore other areas of aesthetics and grow my own business. I have now successfully owned and operated my own practice for two years. I could not have done any of this without my education and experience from SBMA .I highly recommended SBMA!

I attended the School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics (SBMA). I do not over exaggerate when I say attending SBMA was life changing for me. The curriculum is outstanding. New courses where continuously offered at no additional cost. The instructors are so nurturing and informative as they all currently work in the field and are so willing to share their real life experiences. Because it is the only school of its kind in Denver, heck in Colorado, that focuses on both the holistic natural approach as well as the medical anti-aging aspects of skincare, my skills are very sought after.

Im so happy I chose to go to School here. The teachers are amazing, the curriculum we learned was top notch, and I felt loved and welcomed by my fellow students and teachers. The teachers made sure you were 100% comfortable with every service we learned and if you werent they would take extra one on one time to make sure you were confident in everything that you were doing.It was great to learn both medical and holistic aesthetics, along with 3 amazing product lines. This school prepared me very well for my career and I would recommend it anyone and everyone who is interested in becoming a student or getting a service.

I got a Brazilian wax on Wednesday by a student at the center who casually mentioned this would be her first wax at the center part of the way into the wax and as a result would call in one of the teachers to give feedback and check on her work. The wax itself didn’t seem too bad but she kept having to go over the same areas which seemed a little strange to me as none of the waxers I’ve ever gotten waxed from at waxing studios have had to go over an area so much but took it as her being extra thorough. I finished and had to wait nearly an hour after my appointment finished for my friends to finish. (While waiting a woman who had just finished a facial came out and complained about getting burned on her back by the steamer and had a really angry looking red mark on her back) My friend’s appointment was at the same time and took nearly two hours because no one knew what they were doing so she had at least 3 people attempting to wax her until they finally told her that they did not have enough time to finish her and she could just pluck the remaining. The remaining hair she had was the whole underpart which was completely covered and would take a lot more than plucking to get rid of. If that wasn’t bad enough, we both drove home only to discover that we both had been burned badly by our waxers. I would definitely advise against visiting their clinic as the students all had very little knowledge on what to do as well as any knowledge on wax safety.

I honestly dont know where to begin to describe my extraordinary and unique experience with the Denver Integrative Massage School. I enrolled in their Medical and Botanical Aesthetics program from May 2016-October 2016. They offer a variety of schedules to accommodate a variety of working individuals which is amazing. The idea behind combining both aspects from the medical and natural world of esthetics was especially appealing to me, and on top of offering certification in chemical peels, microdermabrasion and dermaplaning, that just topped it off. I truly appreciated the mix of instructors whom all are extremely knowledgeable, and from different backgrounds, leading to each having something different to offer and enrich the already extensive curriculum. The two product lines that are used are both really great lines that anyone could benefit from using which makes student/client services an even more memorable experience. The overall space and vibe of the school is very welcoming and nurturing. It is very well maintained, vibrant and they usually have an essential oil diffuser going to create a calming environment. The administrative staff is very informative, supportive, accessible and a pleasure to communicate with. The school director, Hillary is very involved and an overall huge advocate for making sure every single student succeeds in their goals. The tuition for the aesthetics program I felt was quite reasonable. If there were to be anything I would wish could have been slightly different, it would have been having just a bit smaller class size, although every single one of the 20 something girls in my class were all amazing people and I am so lucky to have met them all. This experience was without a doubt my favorite part of living in Denver for the year I was there.

I’ve been receiving facials, peels, dermaplaning, body treatments, waxing, & microdermabrasions at the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics (SBMA) for years; I LOVE this place!!The School has an amazing ambience (chill & relaxing), it’s very clean, Instructors are knowledgeable, AND Students are confident, kind and calm.I’ve had a wide variety of Students love and care my skin, some that are at the end of their schooling and some just starting out, and I’ve always felt the Students use care & caution, and if they don’t feel comfortable about a technique or don’t know something there’s ALWAYS an Instructor at hand to help them. All of the Students are very detailed, calm, and passionate about aesthetics.I’ve been getting facial treatments since I was 27, and every time it would cost me at least $200; however, now that I found SBMA, I’m able to afford more frequent visits without breaking the bank with prices ranging from $8 to $36. It’s a win-win-win situation because I get AWESOME skin, at a low $cost, and the StudentS gets added experience in a great environment.I always get people shocked by the fact that I’m 45 bc my skin looks so AMAZING,Thank you SBMA!!

I recently graduated from the School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics and had a wonderful experience at this school. Shortly after starting at another school in the area, I discovered SBMA and transferred to it right away after seeing the professional, positive atmosphere and calm environment. This school not only includes top-notch instruction in both the natural and medical realms of skincare but offers a lot of hands-on experience, which is crucial for building the skill and confidence needed to perform skincare services in the real world. I would LOVE to reccomend Denver Integrative Massage & Esthetics School for anyone and EVERYONE. This place is amazing; so affordable, the staff is so friendly and professional made me feel and look like a queen. I enjoyed every minute I was there. I had a Ayurvedic body treatment and let me tell you it was so relaxing. My skin felt the BEST it had ever felt. I also had my make up done to the nine! It was so fun. I felt beautiful. Ladies, men, couples, young adults this place is great all around. Treat yourself.
