I would highly recommend the Thursday night salsa class at 8:00 with Rafa. After the hands on class the real party starts. Amazing people, great energy and good times. Supportive environment for people of all different skill levels. We are beginners and it was a very welcoming environment. A big Thank You to our instructor Rafa - great job!! We will be back soon!

Gosh I would rate this place even a 6-star if I could. When my husband and I got there, I realized I forgot my ID card at home. So I remembered, I had a photo of it on my phone and bam just like that I showed them and they let me through. We took a dance session of an hr ($15/person) and after that ordered drinks and danced. So fun!!! Will be returning with some friends for sure

Not what I was expecting. $10 cover charge. $36 for 6 beers…on a Sunday night. It’s definitely more for the swanky crowd, which takes a lot of the fun out of it. This is a Latin bar for non-Latinos, kind of like what Chipotle is to Mexican food.

We went here for a salsa class on a Thursday night and can say we werent disappointed. For complete beginners and professional teachers we were able to grasp the hang of a small salsa dance. A lot of fun even though we were very sceptical at first on what to expect.I recommend for anyone thinking of giving it a go. Go with a partner or friends and Im sure youll have a blast. It has been announced that they will begin opening as a club next week. I never went to the club nights pre covid so am unable to comment on that. Take a look at the pictures to see what to expect.

If I could give them one star I would. Absolutely ridiculous dress code rules. I was completely dressed up, but my shoes did not have a back so I was not allowed to go in even though they were allowing men in sneakers and t-shirts. When I asked the reasoning I was told because I would get stepped on.

The club itself is awesome, great atmosphere and drinks. However the food truck outside is the real winner here.Denver lacks good ethnic food entirely, you won’t find a good place for tacos unless it’s coming out of the back of a food truck like this one.Amazing offerings at La Rumba Choripan. They have specials all the time and the tacos are the best value I’ve found, yet still being far superior in quality compared to any of the city taco joints, it’s the real deal here.

Never going back to this place. Security staff is extremely rude. Cover is not worth it, specially when you get kicked out FOR NO REASON by the bouncers. My friends and I we were just taking a break from dancing, when a white tall bald headed guy from security said we had to leave and started cursing at us. He took away our full drink from our hands and removed us from the place without giving us an explanation why. Never going back, nor recommending. Awful experience.

Visiting Denver, i thought this would be a good place to go. I was SO wrong, the security staff here is a mess, and now checking the reviews I can tell that it’s been the same problem for years. We were having a good time and suddenly a bouncer wanted to kick us out, we were never given an explanation why. Looks like some profiling is made at this place even though it’s supposed to be a latino place. DONT GO HERE. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. NOT WORTH IT.

What a treat to go salsa dancing for the first time since the pandemic began! Our temps were taken before entry. The groups were socially distanced, all wore masks, and there was a good amount of air flowing thru the venue. Dance floor was never too crowded and there were several hand sanitizer dispensers. The Dj was good, the dancing was fun -there were all levels and ages. U enjoyed 2 nice martinis from the bar. 4 stars instead if 5 because I wish more salsa was played, rather than bachata. Definitely going back!

The place is pretty good. There is a large variance in the salsa instructors though. The Friday night instructor is good. She keeps things basic but fun. The Sunday night instructors are the best if one is learning how to dance. Saturday night instructors seem to spend too much time teaching one how to shake ones rear end. As far as Im concerned I do not need help to shake my own rear. Just give me half a dozen Long Islands.

LaRumba offers great lessons/dancing. The floor isn’t very big though and often they keep the place too warm. Would love for them to set out a pitcher of water and cups rather than charging $2 per bottle and not even allowing us to bring our own water. I understand they need to make money but if they are going to have a cover charge, the least they can do is provide free water.

Love the live music, dancing, 10 cover includes a dance class if you get there early enough.Down side is the drinks/ bar. For one the bartender had to loon up a drink (that only had two ingredients) that was listed on the menu and it didn’t even come out that great. Also they charge $6 for Coors?! We are in the land of beer, and thats the only beer they offer... for that price. Also you dance your butt off and then they make you pay for a bottle of water- no tap water available.

Saturdays are now NO BUENO. Saturdays at La Rumba are supposed to be the HOTTEST place to salsa in Denver. It used to be but this is now a joke. The live bands will now only play 2 - 30min sets...thats about 3 songs...and thats it for the night. Theres a mix of merenge, bachata and a LOT of reggaton otherwise. IDK why the live band time got reduced so much. Are the bands too tired to play for 2 hours...or is the club too cheap to pay them? Disappointing...I will not recommend this place to someone visiting the Denver salsa scene....embarrassing

I was exactly 20 min in the bar, 10 of which i spend in the restroom.(walk in 11.35) I am walking out;(12.01 am) when she stoped me and requested 5$! I told her that i am not paying this amount i am leaving! The man near the door get physical: he push me and stopped me from walking out( i shouldve called 911 THERE!) He try to scare me with the police! They had their own police/officer in the club😈👀 I went to the gard and completely resonably explain that i will not pay;because i didnt actually stay there. There was a man who almost let me go; but a police lady wanted to proove her power: she rudely said: you stay 20 min here so you must PAY ! The LEVEL of rudeness was growing in this people! So i of course just paid but, while i signed my receipt, i requested the name of the Rude girl on the cash machine! The rude girl instead of answer me: asked my name! I told her Yoana T****! She ignored my question. I told her i will write a review with my experience. VERONICA! SHE SHOUTED! Then the police lady who were her crime partner in humiliation; interrupt:You better behave YOURSELF! She try to scare me with her badge and tone!. The point is that if you WALK IN A CLUB: is to have fun: and HAVING ABUSIVE AND AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE STUF IS DEFINATELY a good reason never to come back in this place!I make sure i share this on every entertainment website i know! I thought the DJ wasnt that great, felt like he was playing random tracks on skip with no flow. He played alot of old stuff from the 90s. I was only here for like an hour, he played some random obscure salsa from the 90s, 1 cumbia song and some classic bachatas from the early to mid 90s.
