Senora and Jig don’t know what the $&@? They are doing. We just had the Wed night at 7pm beginning class.Mashing up Bachata, Cumbia, Salsa is not simply “salsa” ...awful class. They started late and they just don’t know what the hell they were doing.Just because you took a few salsa classes doesn’t mean you should bastardize standard dance forms all into salsa. Waste of money and time.

My girlfriend and I took a salsa/bachata class with Senora and Jig during the pandemic. They had us in their house but it was tastefully done and they were considerate and doing the best with what they could. They are nice and have a true passion for what they do and dance with style. My girlfriend and I did the beginners salsa/bachata class and felt comfortable as we had been dancing for several years prior but wanted to hone in on the technique. over the course of 3 weeks we learned several moves in salsa and bachata including the walk through and even a solo bachata dance. Overall, I think they did ok with their teaching but both my girlfiend and I felt that their teaching style detracted from our experience. They have a reliance on saying the steps out loud which makes listening to music useless and their pacing is off. Several times they wouldnt give the cue to start a move until the step prior which would make it hard to get back into the rhythm if you were a step behind. This happened several times. Also, we felt like they were a bit pedantic as several times they would stop us to show us how it was done and then immediately stop us mid step which would break our flow. This happened so much we started joking that we actually didnt finish any of the movements. So overall, they are professional and good but if you are used to dancing with more freedom and only the occasional stop for advice then maybe look elsewhere.

I began taking Salsa classes at La Rumba from Jig and Senora last July in order to be ready for a huge Salsa-themed birthday party in November. I learned so much, always felt welcome in spite of my beginner status. Senora and Jig created an atmosphere that was fun and very friendly. The birthday party has already happened, but I have continued. You’ll find me at La Rumba classes a lot of Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Jig and Senoras class is great, have been going there for almost a year. Class is structured, detailed and fast paced. Every month they start a new set of moves so you get enough repetition to practice the moves while not getting bored. They are both really sweet and professional. Cant recommend them enough

Jig and Senora are great teachers for beginners. They help you learn a variety of basic steps at a great pace. You don’t have to know anything before coming and you’ll still feel comfortable. I took their class for 6 months and always learned something new.

Jig and Senora’s classes made me fall in love with salsa! Their classes are fun because they let their students watch and learn rather than talk through the lesson. They are also extremely welcoming and friendly.

Not sure what this Clyde guy is referring to on his response. Ive been going to Senora and Jigs for roughly a year now and Id have to say some of the best classes to take in town. No better place to come to if youre a beginner. Its a fun and structured atmosphere to learn the fundamentals of salsa and bachata. They offer a progressive level of teaching as to give the student the ability to grow in their craft. Also the level of knowledge and technical moves are second to no one in the Denver metro and surrounding areas. Come by and purchase a 3 month pass to see for yourself while keeping in mind that you get out what you put in. Thank you Senora and Jig for making me a more competent and confident dancer.

They are two of the worst dance instructors Ive ever met in my life. Sonora loves to lead herself, which kind of makes Jig into this unnecessary emasculated stage prop that follows her. This is problematic, because Salsa is a dance where the male traditionally leads the girl, especially into turns. However, in their classes they will not teach that. Instead they teach girls how to turn themselves. If you politely question that or anything else Jig teaches, Jig will furiously respond, treating any question as if it were a rude questioning of his lifestyle choice as a stage prop. Unfortunately, it is progressive instructors like these two, that ruin dance, by indoctrinating students with their own ideas of what Salsa should be. And it is all to easy for them to do, because this is not Cuba or Latin America, where Salsa thrives and is part of the culture. Most Americans dont know what Salsa is, and have no expectations for it. However, I can understand the couples motivation for leading themselves or more aptly put--dancing with themselves. Sonora is awkwardly tall and unattractive to boot, making it difficult for her to find a partner willing, ready, and able to lead her. Jig couldnt lead Sonora even if he wanted to, since he is just not tall enough. However, their shortcomings as dancers do not give them the right to ruin Salsa for the rest of us. If you want to change it, then please call it something else.

I am greatful for these two teaching me what they know. They instilled some great principles of dance I couldnt live without today. Take their classes! ❤️
