CHANGED MY LIFEI walked into this place barely knowing what judo was and a couple years later am loving it. Its the ultimate martial art and self improvement tool. The instructors are gracious and inviting, and have serious clout in the art. You need to work for belt ranks but its accessible and rewarding.Check them out! You can also train BJJ under a great black belt with your club membership.

I loved this place, I came here just for a visit and I was impressed, they have a nice facility. Alyssa and Howie are awesome, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, they are great communicating and teaching techniques. There are just not that many places where you can train BJJ and Judo at the same location. They are definitely a hidden gem in Colorado. Highly recommend them.

I have never met a group of people more dedicated to embracing the spirit of mutual welfare and benefit. They’re a great community that support your endeavors both on and off the mat. The prices are low because the aim isn’t profit but mutual betterment and a shared love of combat sports. No matter where you’re on your journey, even if you’re just starting or had a break, Denver Judo is an excellent place to train and grow.P.s. Yell “classic rules”

Its a welcoming group of people that are happy to both coach you and throw you on the ground over and over again in randori so that you can improve. Theres a solid BJJ program too, so you really cant go wrong giving this place a shot if you want to learn a grappling art.

I do BJJ here at Denver Judo and some of the important things I look for in a gym are the quality of learning I can gain and am I surrounded by good vibes and people. Everyone here, new or present, have an eagerness to learn and better their craft and also want everyone else around them to get better as well. BJJ here is top of the line with a black belt coach and others to teach us the most effective and efficient BJJ.

Denver Judo is a great place to train. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and fun, but the ranks are heavily stacked with seasoned and accomplished competitors who are more than willing to help out the lower belts. Denver Judo offers BJJ in addition to Judo, which produces well rounded grapplers. Among its many members are a wide variety of skill levels and weight classes, but theyre all willing to train hard and help out. This is not a for profit dojo, so the price is as low as youll find anywhere in Denver, yet the training is certainly top notch. Highly recommended, regardless of where you may be in your grappling journey, white belt or black.

This is a great school and community of people dedicated to improving themselves and each other through the study of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo. As a nonprofit club, rather than a for-profit business, it is also by far the most affordable place to train BJJ in Denver. Black belt instructors who are highly skilled at teaching and coaching, and classes and sparring sessions available 7 days a week.

When I first started at Denver Judo, I could only attend one practice a week; I was so out of shape that it took almost a full week between practices to recover. But I stuck with it, and my experience has been life changing. The coaches and instructors are phenomenal. At just about any class you attend, there are athletes and instructors who have experience competing at a national, international or Olympic level. The value at Denver Judo is also remarkable, offering classes every day of the week. For a low monthly price, you can attend unlimited Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, something you will not find anywhere else in the Denver area. What stands out the most about this dojo, is that it really is a family. Everyone is welcome, and if you are willing to put in the effort, you will see yourself grow both physically and mentally in ways that exceed even your own expectations. I cant say enough great things about Denver Judo and the impact it has had on my life. So if you are considering trying martial arts, and have made it this far into my review, you should signup for a free trial class right now.

I have been a Denver Judo student for 3 years. It is simply the best school to practice both Judo and Jiu-jitsu in Denver. The senseis and instructors are quite diverse (young to seasoned, from various parts of the US, Olympic medalists, retired military, law enforcement, engineers, etc).Classes are very friendly and accommodating to new-comers and also challenging to experienced judoka, jiu jitsokas, and grapplers. It is a great and safe atmosphere for women and children.I have practiced at several MMA and jiu jitsu gyms in the Denver area and nothing compares to the respectful, honest, family-feel culture, carefully cultivated by the senior instructors. If you are looking to get in shape, defend yourself, have fun, compete if you like, learn from great instructors, make some cool connections and more you should check it out.

Where else can you get semi-private instruction from Olympic-level coaches and work out with nationally ranked competitors for a price like this? Ive been going to Denver Judo almost 5 years now; Ive gotten to train with, spar with, and be instructed by world-class coaches and competitors. Cant recommend enough.

Really great place to put your kids to. Very good environment for children, if you want to teach your kids discipline, respect, integrity, etc, while doing great physical exercises this is a place to go.On the other hand, if you’re an adult who wants to learn Judo, or continue your journey in judo, you will find it exceptionally beneficial to do it here. All levels are welcome here, from white belts to International level black belts, there’s something for everyone.
