I love going to this school, it’s unlike any other martial arts I’ve looked into! The classes truly teach you how to defend yourself first and foremost. The training is tough but rewarding, you have to be willing to push yourself further than you thought you could. The teachers are amazing and help you to hone yourself. The classes are long but I always wanna spend more time there, the knowledge is so much more than a standard martial arts school. Thank you all for letting me train here! I hope to progress much farther.

I love just being a student and the environment is structured, almost military esque. There is a hierarchy that you must respect and overall people are very supportive while focusing on themselves. Dont take this lightly and know if you become a student too youll become a true warrior vs. a watered down warrior for sport. These guys are so amazing.I suggest to be open and be prepared to be pushed. Work for it and you will succeed! Are you ready to embrace the warrior spirit within and become what others can only imagine of? Think will be handed to you, then this is the wrong place for you.

Imperial Combat Arts is not your typical martial arts school. Every lesson is valuable and applicable in the real world. When I first started my training, I was unsure of my capabilities since I had no previous experience. With every class, I notice growth in myself and my fellow warrior brothers not just in our Body, but in our Mind and Spirit as well. This place is awesome and very challenging. They take a serious approach to martial arts and weapon training and their hand toughening is crazy impressive. It’s perfect! It was just what I was looking for and so much more. It’s crazy intense and definitely has tested my will power. In the little time I’ve been here it’s helped me get stronger not only physically but mentally. The uniqueness behind every move just simply amazes me. The trainers and students are incredibly welcoming and push you to not give up. To push through every art and aim to advance in ranks. You have to put in the work but in the end it’s all worth it. Definitely the most difficult and intense training Ive ever done. The instructors are patient, but motivating. I hope for many more years under their tutelage. If you are looking to push yourself beyond your limits, I strongly recommend this place.

Best place ever. I have lived in a few different states, and throughout Denver metro, and I have never trained at a place as great as this. Fully combat effective. Challenging, but attainable. There is ALWAYS a next level; the way it should be. Ill never stop training Imperial Combat Arts, and I recommend it to my friends and family.

This place is awesome! Doesn’t look like much from outside, but the training hall inside is amazing and the outdoor training space is cool. Instruction is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. For serious students only, they move you deep, hard, and fast. Classes are 3-4 hours long, 3x a week. Hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I advance a lot every class. No contracts which is nice in case you can’t hang.

Instruction here in all areas of study is top notch! I really wasnt even thinking about weapon training when I joined ICA but the school has really opened my eyes to how important and common weapons are in real life & death fights. Now even when I travel and am unarmed I know how to use everyday objects in unusual and powerful ways as improvised weapons. I agree 100% with what the Instructors say If your not training with weapons, your not training Combat Martial Arts.

Best school I have been to. Other schools either seem to have a sporty vibe, or they teach a bunch of kids. This is so different, I am so happy that I found them. Ill encourage my kids to train here when they are old enough!

Changed my life for even the somewhat short time I have trained here. I have been other places, but none offered the real world, intensive, make it or break it attitude that I was looking for. Imperial Combat Arts is powerful, lethal, and just simply hardcore. The arts will push you and test your physical and mental ability harder than almost any other training I have seen today. The arts may not be for everyone, but I have learned a great deal about myself and my abilities through these arts. I have fallen in love with them. As these arts spiral out, the more your around it, the more you want it. Test how strong your will power really is.

As a 25 year archer I can say the instructors here know their traditional horsebow. I met Master Aquila and his Wife last summer shooting with a traditional archery group and shot with them several times at their private range at Imperial Combat Arts, theyre very serious about their training and teaching, and all around great people to be around.

I love Imperial Combat Arts for their real-world fighting tactics. They taught me how to defend myself and also furthered my training in various weapon fighting. Definitely recommend.

Ive trained most my life (HS wrestling, BJJ, some MMA) but this is some next level training. Striking, weapons, and grappling as one brutal system for combat. Never heard of these styles before but Master Aquila is patient answered all my questions, respected my previous training, same time showing the difference with brutal techniques/counters to all my training, went home black n blue first night with like 100 pressure points gripped that I never new I had.Training here is tough but I love the challenge, already have much respect for this school.

Absolutely amazing! Small classes allow for a non generic atmosphere allowing for instructors to focus on each individual student. They have incredible knowledge, experience and even patience which a major plus for those of us starting from scratch in our martial arts training. The techniques are portrayed in real world scenarios, training is broken down step by step for the students to gain the basics that flow into more abstract situations. I just cant say enough to encompass the greatness of this school. As for the previous gentlemans comments knocking the interview process he obviously didnt attend an interview or wasnt committed to pursuing a martial art. My advise even if your on the fence schedule the interview and give it a try, you wont be dissapointed and probably thrilled with the outcome like I am.

Mind Blown! Ive learned and developed more here in one week than 3 years of TKWD. As a tri athlete I thought I had good endurance but the ground endurance and matching here has pushed me to my limits. Im very impressed with the advanced students and instructors at Imperial Combat Arts. Highly recommend!

Ive been training here for just two months, and Ive learned more practical combat skills than I did in a couple of years in three different kung fu schools. Im starting to see how Im being taught an exhaustive and effective foundation, that can then be endlessly built upon in the higher arts. This school offers an ocean of timeless combat training. Unlike other places, classes are small and teachers spend a lot of time with each student. The teachers themselves are awesome. Theyre sharp, push me beyond my limits, and are tons of fun to work with.

I have been training with this stellor group of people for a little over 2 months. I have recently been ACCEPTED to study under this amazing set of indidviduals.The reason I picked this to apply to, btw I love the fact that we have to be accepted as a students, is because the time, attention and overall skill that they put into the students is above the rest. The fact that we have to be accepted and welcomed into the institution ensures that when we are there, in class, we are all THERE. Not something you find at a general martial art place of education. Its taken a long time to for me to find this kind of training and this kind of atmosphere and I am ecstatic to be a participant of ICA and alpriciative of the education I am learning and developing.This place is awesome.Its up to you. I have trained in the martial arts for 12 years in Sil Lum Kenpo Ryu and western sword fighting as well as training with martial artists from other backgrounds such as Jeet Kun Do and Wing Chun. And I will tell you now I have not seen a school as versatile, complex, and comprehensive as this one. Everything you could ever wish to know about the combat arts can be found here. They don’t train competitors, minor self defense, or brawlers. Here you will only find warriors.

Since 2008 I have been learning from High Master Aquila at Imperial Combat Arts. These teachings have kept me alive and thriving through very intense jobs like Security officer at two hospitals. Loss Prevention specialist at Thornton Home Depot. Two Ambulance services in Virginia and my current Career Fire Department in Galeton Colorado. These skills learned at ICA are used every minute of every day. If you have discipline, courage, commitment and will power to pursue your dreams? So this review is long over due, But here it goes. Before I came to Imperial Combat Arts I knew little of real Gung Fu. I learned Kenpo Karate for a time and I got good to a point. This place has taught me so much in such little time and I couldnt learn what I do here anywhere else if I even tried. This is a true art in every way and it has so many benefits to it. Every day I see myself walking a bit more taller all the time. If your looking to be the warrior you know you are than this is the place to be especially if you have experienced some tramatic things and want to learn how to kick some butt the right way. I trained in this citium in 2009 with Aquila. He taught me keys and what I needed to disarm opponents for my job as a bouncer in NYC.
