This school is very good and the reason they dont assign homework is because they teach you everything in class and they assign homework only if it really does need to be done. Also this school has office hours which gives your child 1 hour with the teacher after school to catch up on and things you might need extra help with. They also have Saturday school, where you can work on projects or just a place where you can get things done even if it is just writing a story. This school pushes your kid to the best of there ability even if there is no homework they go hard on grades and you have all this time to catch up on stuff.

Please dont believe the hype that DPS puts out about this school. I dont even want to give this place half a star. I dont consider this a school,but a place that grooms children to become criminals. These people dont understand that children are human and make mistakes and that they need to be heard. I dont feel that this school respects the students or their families. This is a place that gets off on controlling our thoughts and our words. Its almost as if they want to control you once you register your child. My son had a tough transition from elementary to middle school and made a few mistakes and now that hes working hard to make positive decisions and turn things around he is refused help and punished everyday for the past. Nothing good ever gets recognition,its always the negative things. The people we send our kids to on a daily basis are supposed to be trusted but I only see bullies on a power trip. This has been the worst school I have ever encountered . The security and the resources to teach are limited in this place. If your opinion differs from theirs, they just wait to take it out on your child the next day. Im glad there are only a few months left in the school year. I cant wait to get my son out of here. Lets see if he doesnt get held back after I write this review. There are a few good people trying to make a difference here but all in all the bad outweighs the the good. Please think twice before sending your children here!!!!!

My daughter is a 7th grader at Skinner and is thriving academically and socially. The teachers, regularly go above and beyond to ensure learning and success! We have been so incredibly pleased.

I go to this awesome school, its a big place with fun teachers and lots of classes that you learn a lot in. I recommend it. The only flaw is the security, some items of security are falling down and may hit a student. Other than that this school is the best!

Great teachers and great principal who push their students to do their best they can do

This is honestly one of the worst places i have ever been too the education is AWFUL i might fail the 8th grade because of their incompetence they waste their already small budget on pointless stuff like a salad bar and a score board its useless crap that no one needs. SO PLEASE DONT TORTURE YOUR KIDS BY SENDING THEM HERE!!!!!!

Definitely a horrible school to enroll your kids in. I went there for 6th 7th and 8th grade and it was horrible. And now to find out that theyre picking on my siblings now; not giving them the proper help and support. They have every excuse in the book for their doings and its not acceptable.

This school I will say it ok the wood shop teacher is the best but skinner middle school if fun and big it haves 2 swimming pools basketball court but it a big big school you would have fun thier in skinner so I just one to tell you it fun thier some time. You could stay after school to 7:00am to 3:30pm

As a parent, I think the 6th and 7th grade for students is great. the teachers try to motivate the students. the 8th grade was horrible though. I spoke to other parents in my childs grade and most of them had the same experience. I also spoke to parents from previous years and they had the same opinion.

This school does have a lot of negative things when it comes to kids. I hated it in 6th and 8th grade, but 8th grade is OK.

This school has no respect for there students they have fun activities but wen it comes to teachers they are disrespectful they will get in ur face and yell some teachers say its ur fault that ur tardy even if ur still in the building they have assigned stair cases that each grade has some ppl are tardy to there classes cause of this

The teachers and authorities try to manage your life they always have all these mandatory things going on that often interfere with your life outside of school and if you dont attend these events you will have to stay a couple hours after school or attend school on Saturday i have attended this school for all of middle school and i hate it, the school tries to convince your parents that it is good by saying all this stuff about graduation and during conferences the teachers act fake so your parents still like them DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE

I Went to Skinner I was in 6th grade I was thretend and bullied please dont send your kid to this school there nice at first but they become so mean that hate kids and call them out
