Discosapien Weddings are the best wedding DJs OF. ALL TIME. Music is a big passion of mine and my husband and I always had a vision of what we wanted for our wedding but were always worried we wouldnt be able to find a DJ to bring it to life. But, Rex and his crew were beyond words! They had the perfect mix of music to cater to all my guests. Classics, top 100, EDM, and more. The one comment I heard most from my guests was, I have never seen so many people on the dance floor at a wedding! They were ON IT. No mess ups, microphones all worked, sound system was great, and most importantly they genuinely listened to what we wanted as the bride and groom. They were reliable, fun, and professional. I cannot recommend them enough!

A 10/10 experience from start to finish. From the moment I submitted an inquiry to Rex about his services to the day-of our wedding, Discosapien was an excellent company to work with. Rex was extremely organized and communicative, acting as the liaison between his DJs and our wedding coordinator. On-site, DJ Archie was a blast with tons of hype all night while perfectly curating our soundtrack for the evening. We also did the photo-booth, which was probably the highlight of the whole night for our guests. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a fun DJ!

Our wedding day truly would not have been complete without Rex and his love for the same music as us. Leading up to the wedding, Rex provided support and feedback as to what would be the best music to kick off the day, and then based off of our song requests, he provided a twist on popular music by making it something that my husband, guests, and I would truly enjoy while also mixing in our specific requests. I told Rex that I wanted our wedding to be an absolute party, and he delivered just that. I did not leave the dance floor all night, and I would highly recommend Rex and Discosapien for all your event music needs.

I want to personally thank Rex with this review. Before I met up with Rex for DJ lessons I was absolutely lost with my mixing and didnt know much at all. After just 2 lessons I feel incredible confident. In addition to this, Rex has professional level equipment in his studio, which helped me get practice in for live shows. Rex DJed our wedding this past weekend. Dont take this lightly: Im a DJ myself, and as such am both particular and difficult to please in this realm. There is nothing more disappointing to me than a dime-a-dozen, mediocre wedding DJ. Now BECAUSE Im a DJ, people assumed that I had some behind-the-scenes hand in the mastery that Rex laid down on us. I had to correct them. Sure, he hit a few of the tracks I suggested, but its clear hes hes got this down to both a science and an art form.I could have spent months preparing, whittling tracklists, testing transitions and phrasing, etc, and I could not have built to or maintained the joyous, raucous level of crowd-pleasing energy Rex brought to our wedding dance floor. It was the perfect blend of current hits, classics, bass, & house. The mashups and transitions were on point.The hipsters from Austin & LA, the Boomers, the Millennials, Gen X & Zers were all there on the dance floor, getting down. So many compliments on the music, and no-one wanted the party to end. Our biggest mistake was not purchasing the subwoofer add-on.This is the one. This is the DJ you want if you want your wedding to be lit.

DJ Rex openly welcomed me into his studio for some pointers on live mixing techniques. He is a fellow colleague in the industry and this spoke volumes to me. The fact he was willing to help me showed he is a true pioneer and mentor to others around him. Though this review may not be the most ideal for weddings, privates events etc...take it from another Dj who paid for his services...that when you do choose him...you chose right. Rex is a great DJ and MC. Thanks again.

Rex saved our wedding! We had a DJ lined up to do our wedding but unfortunately he bailed out on us, less than a week before our wedding. Rex stepped in and made the planning process so simple and easy. He made us feel comfortable and less worried about how short of a timeline that we were on. Rex is a true professional at what he does and we couldn’t have been anymore pleased. The quality of his equipment was awesome. Rex is so genuine and a very organized person. Rex was extremely organized, friendly, and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process. He also absolutely blew us away on our wedding day. He made sure the dance floor was the place to be with all the right music. He mixed a lot of our song requests into such a fun dance party that our guests were talking about how much of a blast they had all the next day. He also made sure all of the mics were perfectly placed for our officiant, our own vows, and our friends who played the guitar and sang for a song during the ceremony. He execute the whole timeline of the night perfectly and we could not have asked for a better DJ.

Rex was great! We did a DJ and Ableton lesson and I was able to take the tips he showed me and apply them instantly!

Rex was the DJ for our friends wedding last summer - once we heard him, we knew we had to request him for ours as well! We went with Discosapien for DJing our wedding and have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. Rex, the owner of the company, was our DJ and he absolutely took our wedding to a whole other level. I will say that we created a pretty great playlist for him to go off of, but his mixing style and ability to read the crowd was superb. I love what Im learning in abelton and djrex is lit and i after taking a few lessons with djrex .i created a electro house album with 10 tracks. As a parent to an 11 year old; I had absolutely no idea about DJing or even EDM music, and I was way out of my element on my sons taste of music. So I did what every supportive parent does; I Goggled everything from kids raves to DJ lessons and only came up with a few small selection of contacts for the Denver area.The weeks of searching was very disappointing, as I tried to make multiple attempts at calling (and even trying to stop by some places during their open business hours), not a single place was even interested in talking to me when I said that I have a very interested 11 year old that wants to learn DJing and music production. This was until I called and talked to Rex with Discosapien Academy.First - Rex actually answered the phone and took the time to talk to me; while he listened to all of ramblings about my son and his music interests. Rex was genuinely excited about wanting us to come and meet with him; so that we could get a feel for what his lessons could offer.When meeting with Rex and seeing my sons reaction to this whole new world; I knew we were in the right place.Its now been almost 4 months, and my son has completely stepped up his game. Rex has taken my sons musical interests to a whole new level; where he talks about music production and how the different parts of a song need to be properly arranged to sound proper with the different pitch and sound adjustment; its pretty mind blowing to here all of this from a now 12 year old.Rex is so patient and very calm in his teaching style. I love just sitting and listening from the outside hearing how Rex teaches and explains the lessons; while applying a hands on learning technique which is followed up by such positive encouragement. We hired Discosapiens for our wedding because they were one of the few vendors in this area with a decent website and werent scared to break from the usual line dances and cliche wedding playlists. Elliott, our DJ, turned out to be very responsive in person and easy to work with. He took requests, seemed to be genuinely interested in being there, and still managed to take care of all our sound needs for the wedding by himself and without a hiccup. Were very pleased with how it all turned out.

Great DJ program most complete learning experience in the state. Easy to learn from and work with. Dj Rex was my teacher he took the time to show me all aspects of being a dj. I was not able to have a normal schedule and Rex worked with me in the early morning when we were both not quite awake fully awake but we had some coffee and got right to work. When I had completed the program I felt more then ready to go out on my own and become my own boss working in the fast paced proformence djing field. This program is very high on my recommendations list and like I said it is the best and most complete performance dj program in the state of colorado. thank you for the great experience.
