The class is difficult, but only if you don’t study. Overall it really prepares you for the field. Shortly after getting the certificate I was able to get a job at a hospital and the information presented in the lecture really helped me with performing my duties.

PLC is an amazing school with dedicated teachers willing to help you learn the ins and outs of phlebotomy. You get the opportunity to refine your skills each class and the textbook covers everything you need to know to join the workforce. The internship experience is really fun and gives you lots of experience and know-how to feel confident in the field. Great program all around. I highly recommend it.

HORRIBLE PLACE! THEY ARE TOTALLY DISHONEST AND PROSOECTIVE EMPLOYERS HAVE TOLD ME THAT 99% IF THEIR STUDENTS DO NOT EVEN GET THROUGH THE EXTERNSHIP BECAUSE THEY HAVNT LEARNED ANYTHING! IM WRITING IN BEHSLF OF MY DAUGHTER WH ATTENDED THIS PLACE RECENTLY, AND WAS THE VERY TOP STUDENT IN HER CLASD..OR THATS WHAT THEY TOLD HER ANYWAY, THEN THEY SENT HER FOR HER ECTERNSHIP AT KAISER. ONCE THERE, THE EMPLOYEES +including the supervisor, told her she didnt know half of what she should have..they also told her that this school is not accredited and that RARELY would any employer hire a student from there. My daughter called and called the school , her instructor and she was completed ignored. She didnt even get to finish her two werk EXTERNSHIP because once they were out of the classroom, suddenly no-one was available by I discuss any of this with. She was extremely disappointed, and I am extremely angry because we here at home all saw her skills and she should be certified by now butt thanks to this instructir, or schools, lack of caring once they got the money , she had no idea where to turn . They took her money and disappeared..not even returning one single phone csl!. I have reported them to proper authorities and will follow thru until I am assured they will not be able to teach??(what a joke) anyone ever agsim!

I am very impressed with PLC. The instructors have many years of professional experience and are passionate about what they do. It makes a difference when you are being taught by people who can give you on the job advice in every aspect. Sunna even took us to the hospital where she works for a tour of the lab. They are happy to answer any and all questions and truly enjoy sharing their knowledge with students.

This was such a GREAT class and I loved it! Joel J., the teacher, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, kind, funny, encouraging, and made sure everyone was succeeding. I came into this class with a little background and knowledge in Phlebotomy as I am a Medical Assistant. Even though I knew the basics, this class covered and went more into detail than what I learned in my Medical Assistant program. They teach you everything from patient introductions to the Order of Draw, to the different areas of the clinical lab. They teach you all that you will need to know when you get out into the field. If you are thinking of taking this class, please do! You will not be wasting your time, nor will you be disappointed! Thank you Joel and PLC of Denver!-Amy Duell

PLC provided me with the skills, experience, and knowledge to be a successful Phlebotomist. The classes were small and one-on-one student oriented. Theres a lot of material, so yes, you have to work hard, and study hard. But the instructor was so encouraging and helpful. They set me up with their colleagues to volunteer at local health fairs for some real world practice and an externship with Kaiser Permanente, which was an incredible experience. I would highly recommend PLC to anyone interested in a Phlebotomy career.

If you think Phlebotomy is for you please go here! My instructor was Sunna and though she was strict she was one of the best instructors i have had anywhere. She definitely prepared me with the basics of phlebotomy. Although having done my externship in a hospital setting there is much that needs to be learned on the job which is true with most things. The externship is very intimidating at first but once you get comfortable you would be surprised how easy everything seems. Sunna gave me the best training I could have had. This school should be your number one choice.

I couldnt believe how dissapointed I was in the training. Get ready for your teacher to be late regularly, read directly from the book and not give any hands on help. You will learn everything by reading the book yourself, outside of class. The worst part by far was the intership. Unlike what it says, you do not get a choice of where you do it. I drove an hour each way daily to get there and back and the woman working at the lab were by far the rudest people I have met. My questions were not answered( most of which was NEVER talked about in class) and I was not watched for any of my draws. The front office had bullet holes in the window and was the only office in the bldg! once I completed my intership it took 3 months of me calling daily to get my certification from Christine. At this point, PLC no longer cared to call me back because they had already cashed my checks! Overall, I would encourage students to go to another school. I am sure there is better quality in the Denver area.
