John, his staff, and this academy have taught my son so much! The coding classes are challenging and engaging. They build skills but also foster relationships between the kids. The classes and camps are relevant to what kids want and they are supportive. The teachers know each kid and their strengths and weaknesses. We love this place and its people!

My son has been taking classes at Silicon Stem for the past couple of years, both virtually and in-person. He loves coding so much and he is learning such valuable skills! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, we feel lucky to have found this place!

It is hard to fail and success is almost guaranteed in terms of learning to code, learning to understand computers better, sharpening kiddos skills & confidence in a fun, supportive atmosphere. The programs are designed for all ages and the participants can go as fast or as slow as they need to. Assistance is there for anyone who needs it, little pushes are given to teach kiddos they can do it themselves, they can go onto the next step. It is no surprise many who participate, come back to teach. Their programs are infectious. I highly recommend SSA.

Silicon STEM is AMAZING!!!!!!! (and of tremendously better quality and value than IDtech!) They have opened so many doors for my son, who has enjoyed summer camps and workshops for several years, joined Geek Club online self-paced learning, and loved private mentorship. We are not tech parents, nor does our school offer coding, so Silicon STEM remains a vital component of my sons education.

This company has littered almost every single street corner in Evergreen with illegal signs promoting their camps. Generally I would love this sort of thing, but NO way I am going to give money to a company those has ZERO regard whatsoever about Planning and Zoning regulations (these signs are not permitted anywhere within Jefferson County) and just craps up our little mountain town with their bandit advertising signs literally everywhere. I have removed about 20+ in the last hour or so and thrown them straight into the garbage (same thing P&Z would do, just got ahead of them). Absolutely shameful.

We cant say enough about Silicon STEM Academy! We love it!(1) Customer-Focused: John and Kelly are the founders and they are truly the nicest business owners you will ever meet! They know everyone’s name and when you’re new, they go out of their way to introduce themselves and get to know your child. As soon as our child walked in the doors, it was like home away from home. John and Kelly started the enrichment after-school program (they also have camps) because they were inspired by their own son when he was growing up. He was really into tech/innovation and less into sports, and there wasn’t anything out in the market for kids like him. Everyone there is super passionate about their programs, and you can tell they really enjoy their jobs.(2) Kid-Friendly: Besides the founders and staff who are wonderful with the kids of all ages, their facility is set up with different fun innovation/work spaces for students. They also offer a wide variety of classes from coding, to battle bots, to stop motion animation, etc. Every other Friday they also offer a 3-hour drop off window where parents leave their kids there to do all sorts of fun activities while the parents get adult time.(3) Parent-Friendly: John and Kelly are great about getting feedback from parents. They are always open to questions and super patient when explaining things to the parents. They have open houses where the entire family is invited to do projects in their space. For example, last holiday they had LED Holiday Card making which was super fun.We highly recommend Silicon STEM Academy and have told many friends/family about it!

In the face of Covid, our summer looked bleak indeed. But, we kept our SSA camp on the calendar because they promised they were outstanding at on-line camps. They proved absolutely true to their word! My kids had one of the best weeks of camp EVER, all from the comfort of our home! They escaped to the world of Minecraft where they built special armor, tools, and blocks and let their creativity soared and confidence build. The facilitators were knowledgable, incredibly patient, dynamic and over all wonderful! Once we got everything set up on the first day, I didnt hear a peep from my kids except laughter, gasps of excitement, and lots of requests for me to come see that they were making. They required ZERO technical help from me because their facilitators were so great! We would HIGHLY recommend Silicon STEM Academy. I wish they could manage school this coming year!

My daughter has been attending classes here for about a year. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. Most classes are available online so the few times she’s been sick she’s been able to follow along from home. It’s a great place to let your STEM minded kiddo explore new topics!

This has been a great place for really cool after school activities for our kids. There are both screen and non-screen options. Its well run and our kids have loved the classes.

I took my grandson to visit STEM Academy and was so impressed with their friendliness and interest in teaching us about their work. My daughters loved the program they took part in! All hands on and helped them feel more connected to Tech. But its my sons work here, both as a participant and as a leader that really showed me the amazing value of what Silicon Stem Academy has to offer! My son found a community of friends with similar interests here. He learned and incredible amount about coding and engineering. He also did graphic arts classes. All the classes are in a warm family type environment that encourages communication and sharing. I strongly recommend this experience .

My experience was great. My classmates and I were picked in this class for coding. We came from the school Most Precious Blood. The teacher (John Scarborough) was very helpful, nice, and friendly. He taught us about coding how how it will help us later in life. Everyone should do coding.

Our son took online classes here while homeschooling. He is now a senior and is concurred enrolled at a community college. He was able to test out of the first programming class and receive college credit for it and is now starting the next class. My son (12 yr) has gone from being a kid who simply wanted to be a user of the computer for games, to a kid who is enamored with the limitless possibilities of a computer by understanding how to program. I am excited to see how he continues to develop in the next level course, but not near as excited as my son is, which is the true testament to Silicon STEM Academy. From Coding, to 3D modeling, to Web Design...he loves it all.

Silicon Stem is great! The teachers are phenomenal in their knowledge and caring of the students. My son just completed his 3rd session at Silicon Stem - he loves it, and so do we.

This is a great place to learn more about technology. You can learn all sorts of things such as coding, graphic design, and 3D printing. Most every other week there is a game night. The game night costs 20$. Its for Minecraft and Pokemon and its very fun. I would definitely recommend this place.

The staff and training here are extraordinary and second to none. I signed my (then) 14 year old up for his first class over a year ago and weve not missed a session since. I am so grateful to have found his people and a great place to incubate talent.

My husband is a computer programmer and is impressed with the knowledge our son is gaining at Silicon Stem Academy. Im not a computer programmer, but I love that my son is excited and motivated to learn skills that are in high demand. Extremely friendly and helpful councilors, and I was able to easily change the course/time that we had originally signed up for, so they were flexible too. A fun way for my daughter to get her feet wet in learning about what will sure to be an incredibly important field in her future.

I couldnt be more satisfied by the outcome of the class participated by my 14 year old son & daughter. Neither of them had ever programmed before and the methodology used by Silicon STEM proved both easy and fun to learn. My 12 year old daughter just finished spring break camp with a gaggle of 8 year old boys. I was a little worried they might make the experience less than ideal for her, but she assured me she found it both challenging and fun. She said the instructors were great. My only complaint is the cost. I know there are lots of wealthy families in the area that dont flinch, but many more that cant swing it. $375 for a camp that runs 9 am-4 pm was not horrible, but summer classes are $325 for 9 am -12 pm. Thats $22/hour for a group class! Good on them for finding a way to make a bunch of money - there is certainly a demand; its just sad this wonderful opportunity is not available to all, especially when it is so clearly needed.

My son enjoyed the program and the time he had at your camp at Regis Jesuit. He looked forward to going each day, spoke about his teachers and councilors each day and always wanted to share his creation with others.

I learned a lot at STEM when I coded. There was a dog named Karel (Cecily, a person in my class, likes Karel) And when you wrote functions, Karel did what you asked her to do. So, coding includes a dog, so that was awesome. Mr. John was an amazing instructor and he didnt make it boring, he made it awesmazing. THANKS AGAIN FOR DA AWESOMENESS OF STEM!

I looked far-n-wide for good computer courses for my kids. Silicon STEM is GREAT -- the owners and teachers are incredibly nice.As a busy parent, I am able get a lot done while the kids are in class (great shops and gym nearby plus, I can stay there to use wi-fi).

I have been looking for more than a year for a program teaching robotics, programming, and in general, how the develop and harness the potential of the IoT to give my children a chance to expand their understanding of the world that is exponentially being shaped by technology. This is the program, and I cannot express enough how exactly this program fills the gap. The instructors are experts in their respective areas, and excellent teachers genuinely devoted to teaching at all levels. There will certainly be the next innovator like Elon Musk or Bill Gates that started on their journey at Silicon Stem Academy.

Silicon STEM Academy is amazing! So far this is my second time doing their coding class. I remember the first time I did this class it was a new program. I learned so much and it was so fun. I did that class with my brother. Well anyways, our school which is just down the street partnered with STEM and this time I am doing STEM for my enrichment class. Even though I already did this class I learned so much more. The instructors are so encouraging and helpful. I really appreciate the fact that the instructors do not just give you the answer but they make you think about the problem. STEM has really helped my problem solving skills. Now when Im fighting with my brother I know to resort to asking him to stop rather than hitting him with the frying pan.WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IN ALL THESE FANCY WORDS IS THAT...SILICON STEM ACADEMY IS SUPER AWESOME AND I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IT OUT!Whew... Our head instructor John ( I call him Mr.John) tells up that barely any middle school are involved in coding. Let alone High Schools. I know this is true because well the only middle school I know of doing coding is us.
