I was so nervous sending our infant daughter to day care, but our older kids had been here and everyone was always so friendly and communicative so we decided to enroll her at 4 months old. Our baby girl is always so happy at drop off and pick up. They do sensory activities with the infants and send pictures and updates. The communication is great and we truly love all the staff. Definitely recommend!

Seriously the best preschool I’ve ever. The teachers and staff here are so kind and welcoming, and truly make us feel at “home.” It’s so wonderful to be able to go to work knowing that my children are being cared for with the love and attention that I would hope for. The front desk staff especially, Ms.Jennifer, make us feel like family and remember details about us and our children, she honestly feels more like family than anything else.

Not all daycares are created equal! We have been using Discovery Point for about 3 1/2 years now and have been extremely happy with the facilities, management, teachers, and wonderful staff! Everyone is helpful and friendly. They have LOW turnover for teachers and staff! Our daughters pre-K teacher still works there 3 years later. We’ve really gotten to know the office staff and teachers because they don’t quit. That really tells you a lot about how they are treated. If management is good the trickle down affects the entire establishment. You know those places that get new teachers and/or staff every month... there’s a reason for that. The price is very reasonable and affordable which is important for us. We visited a lot of daycares and loved the tour at some places but realized we were priced out. Discovery Point offers a quality on par with any child care place I’ve visited but manages to maintain affordability.Bottom line, we trust them with our kids! To nurture them, guide them, and care for them!

This is actually a great daycare. The owner takes pride in her business and keeps everything together. Any issues or concerns are handled immediately and they truly care for the kids and their safety, which is hard to find. My son and I love this place!

This Center has been a blessing to my family I am father of 2 sons and a amazing wife and the owner has been such an amazing guy our morning prep talks for the day and the care that he has shown for my sons my family and I had moved around to different cities but this city was the best move we could have made. I could go on a rant about the times that this center has been there for us open when the schools are closed and loving our sons like they were there own mannnnnn Im gonna miss dropping my sons off in the morning and hope that the next center they attend is as this one was to us.

I really cannot say enough great things about this facility. We came from a not so great situation at another daycare and am so thankful we found Discovery Point. I called to get information and the owner, Michelle, spent almost an hour on the phone telling me about their facility and made me feel extremely comfortable. The next day I went for a tour and again she spent almost an hour showing me around, telling me how their days are structured, etc. From the moment I walked in I knew it was our new home. I quickly learned that all of the teachers there truly care about the kids and make sure that every day is a great day. My daughter has thrived since she’s been there and I would recommend Discovery Point to friends and family in a heartbeat!

We are a military family that had came from Camp Lejeune, NC. We had come to this state with no community, no connections, no family but each other; we cannot thank the amazing staff enough for loving our daughters as their own. Discovery Point has become their family. We have been blessed to have a childcare facility that we can trust with having the best interest for our girls. This facility is very structured, organize and has clear expectations for the parents. DP provides monthly newsletters and recognize milestones for the children and introduces the new faces that has joined the DP Family. DP has monthly calendars that keeps the children excited to school each day with the upcoming activities. Both our girls have grown and learned so much in this last year. As parents, we believe Discovery Point created a true foundation built for years to come instilling excitement for learning new things.

Love this daycare!! My 2 year old has been attending since she was 10 weeks old. She has learned so much here and loves all the teachers here. They are passionate about teaching the children and keeping them social and active. I may be biased 😀 but I think my 2 year old is very bright and advanced for her age and I can thank this daycare for that!My second baby will be attending soon and i couldnt be more excited about leaving another baby with them! It makes going back to work a little easier knowing that my baby is in good hands here!

My son has been to four different day cares, and Discovery Point #3 has been the best one. Before enrolling him two years ago, I toured a Discovery Point in Roswell and was not impressed. ALL DISCOVERY POINTS ARE NOT THE SAME. The staff in Roswell did not seem warm and comforting, which is exactly what I needed for my then two-year-old who had to come in as soon as the facility opened, and their cafeteria had bare white walls where he would have to sit for over an hour before teachers opened their classrooms. This tour almost kept me from trying out the Discovery Point in Duluth. Thank God I decided to go in anyway! I remember popping in after 5:00 for a tour without an appointment because I had just rented an apartment in the community next door. The then assistant director (who is about to be promoted to director), Ms. Sara, welcomed me with a warm smile and gave me a very thorough tour although Im sure she was very busy. Their cafeteria was covered in a brightly colored mural painting, which made me feel comforted for my son who would be there so early in the morning. The classrooms were very nicely sized (bigger than what I had seen for 2-year-olds at Kids R Kids), the children all seemed happy and engaged, and the teachers made me feel like they would embrace my son in a new environment. My feelings were confirmed very quickly after only a few days - my son loved it! It was such an improvement from our previous daycare, where he would cry every morning before drop off. Fast forward two years and he has had FABULOUS teachers for pre-k: Ms. Genevieve and Ms. Claudia. These two have helped my child write, sound out letters, count to 100, and come up with the most creative lesson plans - they made a mechanic station for imaginary play! I am very thankful for the time we have had at Discovery Point and are only leaving because we have moved. So thankful for this place!

If I could give them less than one star I would.I worked at this facility for around three months and had to quit to leave for school. When I told the owner I was accepted into an internship program and would need to leave the company sooner than I thought she flat out told me flat out No.I was often left in a classroom alone with way more kids than were allowed. One of the children had anger management issues and on more than one occasion injured other kids. He would have an episode minimum twice a week but was not removed from the facility because the owner was close friends with his mother that worked there.Close to the end of my employment one of his fits started with him throwing chairs and wooden blocks at the other kids. When I stepped in front of them so I would get hit instead he got angrier. At this point he was out of control and scratching his own face up. I wrapped my arms around him in a bear hug and proceeded to remove him from my class to keep the other 30 kids safe. At that point he grabbed fist full of my hair and began banging the back of his head into my face. He was pulling hair out in clumps. When the directors finally came to help they took him up front to see his mom and get some candy to cool down. Now I am crying and bruised. The director acted like I was the problem and she didnt have time to help me when she came to the class to give me a restroom break. I was rushed to get myself cleaned up and back in the classroom.Later he came to me with his mother and she told him Say sorry so we can go home. he looked at her like it was the worst thing ever then groaned before saying Sorry. She then told him to get his stuff so they could leave. He was back in my class the next day like nothing happened. The stories I could tell about this place would send every parent that trusts them with their children running for the hills. The only advice I can give is stay as far away as possible because you dont know what happens behind closed doors.

DP Howell Ferry has been an absolutely wonderful experience for our daughter. She has been attending the center since she was 3 months old and she is now about to start Kindergarten. She will be attending tbeir afterschool program. Our daughter loves the teachers and staff there. She suprises us weekly with the what she learns . They provide a quality, fun, and well rounded learning environment. The staff are caring, engaged, and responsive. The center is always clean and well decorated with the childrens thematic craft projects.

I absolutely love this place! First I would love to thank Jennifer! She is so awesome, kind and understanding and professional. I also would like to thank Leah’s pre-k teachers Ms. Hannah and Ms. Rochelle they are awesome teachers! Leah has been to two diffeeent daycare facilities bc I switched locations and this is by far the best place. They don’t have grass so my daughter won’t come home with muddy clothes, and the teachers really care for the students and I see a huge change in my daughter behavior from becoming a follower to developing leardership skill! A+..hands down!

I would not recommend this childcare facility to my worst enemy. My 2 yr. old son was so excited about going to school and learning, so I decided to enroll him in this facility. The first 2 days were good.....however by the third day I started to notice his attitude changing and him repeatedly telling me he did not want to go. He never cried when I initially dropped him off....but one day he just sat silently at the table and began crying as I left out towards work. I saw him through the glass door of his classroom and I felt horrible. So I decided to pop - up on him during my lunch hour. Boy am I glad I popped-up. Immediately when I came to visit him around 11:30 am..... I saw one of the teachers (Ms. Mary) viciously snatching him up and throwing him down on his mat and throwing his blanket over his face for nap time.......The whole attitude behind this interacting was very disturbing. It was like God showing me a snapshot of how the staff handles children. I dont handle my child that way and I definitely wouldnt handle anyones elses child that way. Immediately I had an impromptu meeting with the Director, the teacher (Ms. Mary) and the Assistant director about what I witnessed with my own eyes. The Director seemed sympathetic, the assistant director was disinterested and the teacher (Ms. Mary) was pointing the finger at my 2 yr old son.....telling me You dont know your son, when hes here in daycare ....long story short..... I withdrew him from there THAT DAY and Im not sure if the teacher was ever reprimanded or not.....but I knew after what I saw that teacher do and after that meeting with the staff.... My sons care would be below average....and the trust between me and the staff was completely gone. I WOULD NOT recommend this childcare facility.

I really dont know how to start but I felt that I am in need to share with the other parents my honest feeling and opinion about this facility. First of all and after deep reflection my husband and I are very happy for taking the decision to enroll our daughter in this place ,we really were not convinced by so many daycares we visited before in Duluth area. Since the first tour and visit to the place we felt the difference, how this facility is really clean, organized and well structured; and today two months later we believe it is the best daycare for our daughter,I am saying so cos I see the effort and hard work all the discovery point team are making everyday to satisfy both parents and kids ! I Really cant thank enough the excellent staff from Michelle the owner and the administrative team to the amazing teacher Elizabeth and the assistant Nyeena you are all great guys !! Thank you for everything you did so far for my little daughter starting by potty training her to offering her the safe environment and the necessary academic foundation she needs to learn and grow . I want again to express my special gratitude and apreciation to my daughters teacher Elizabeth for the honest committment to her job and the big amount of love, patience and care she is offering the kids as if they were her own which is rare to see in a teacher nowdays! I hope my review will be somehow useful to another parent helping him taking a final decision about this place if still hesitating .
