My entire time attending was amazing. Teacher;s cared about your well being and taught you where it was interesting to learn. Peers were nice and welcoming and the spirit of the school was through the roof. If i had to start all over i would mind doing it here !!

I really loved the school when I was there! It was fun and there was never a boring day. Despite a few teachers who were difficult, you actually learn and there are many opportunies to get help. The amount of freedom was enough to let students venture but at the same time maintain order. I was there only for a year, but it was the best year of my time in high school.

Maybe if this school actually cared about the students it might be a good school. Teachers and administrators don’t seem to care, and they’ve apparently driven out the ones that do.Moved here at the start of summer and I have never been any more disappointed in a school in my life.There’s no sense of urgency. No one seems to want to get anything done. Send your kids somewhere else parents.

Some administrators treats us like animals. And its only been the second week of school, its my freshman year... But overall some teachers are chill. Great at teaching.

I slick wanna come to this school. Its not only nice looking but its also well recognized for a good academic reputation.

I just graduated c/o 2014 . It was okay until the new principal came , didnt like him at all and plenty of the teachers didnt either. He was rude and very weird. He ruined my class senior shirts and we were the ONLY senior class for YEARS that didnt get a good quality Senior Shirt. Our spirit week and senior spirit week were TERRIBLE, again unlike any other senior class. We missed out on so many senior activities that Shiloh, Grayson, Norcross etc did. Many of my Maxwell classmates talked about so much they had done for them at school, like carnivals and picnics, breakfasts and dinners and more. I was like OH GREAT. WE HAD CHICKEN BISCUITS AND EXPIRED JUICE . Which was pretty okay, but nothing special. They sell them at random parts of the year anyway. And, yes, the juice really was expired. On Halloween, he made my friend change her ladybug printed dress (which wasnt even a costume, and he threatened to suspend her for no reason at all) right before we went to Maxwell (the whole reason she wore the dress) Hope he reads this because guess what -- SHE CHANGED AS SOON AS WE GOT ON THE BUS (: Now Im looking on the website and hes broken the lunches up into A & B for every lunch period. Glad me and my older sister graduated when we did, when the school was still decent! Feel so bad for my newly freshman sister though. Poor girl. Ive met plenty of quality teachers along the way , some very very bad , and some (I wont speak any names) that only care for their one upper level class . . . but like I said, Im not pointing elbows ...All in all, this school is merely okay. If you have to transfer, dont feel bad youre probably getting a better school with a better principal. Although I heard Shilohs wasnt to great, but I never attended so what do I know.

This year is even worse than last year. none of the adminstrators care about the students. all you guys want to do is discipline us, put us in ISS, restricted lunch, etc for no reason. i did nothing and i’m in ISS for a day , but according to y’all i was skipping first period. did not. i don’t even have time to skip. whatever i cant wait to leave duluth.

Its nice being #1 twice class of 2011. I absolutely loved this school. Met some of the greatest ppl there, had the most amazing teachers who actually cared about. My favorite is McNally(brit lit) and Mrs taylor (math). Great school

Hated it ! The bathrooms are so clogged ! Disgusting! Nasty! never going back ever never bring Your child either. Y’all should be ASHAMED

I attended Duluth High School. I actually liked the school and all my teachers. Most teachers cared and respected other students. I think DHS was a very positive influence on me, and it was hard for me to actually survive for the last four years I was there. I learned some important things in life by going to DHS, and honestly DHS is like no other school at Gwinnett County Public Schools. I think it has its own originality.
