Dancing with the Fred Astaire Dance Studio is one of the best things I have decided to do to bring happiness, joy and more aliveness into my life. I have the best teacher. His name is Kirill and he is very patient and kind. I am having so much fun. All of the teachers are skilled and friendly. The Friday night dance parties are a blast. All of the teachers dance with every student. What a terrific community!

Five stars for professionalism, courtesy, and encouragement. Taking dance lessons here will really put A little zest in your steps. I stopped by to watch, and got a free lesson which was totally fun. I then signed up for the beginner package. You won’t find a better dance studio for ballroom dancing then this one here. One suggestion: I’d love to see videos of Fred Astaire and ginger Rogers going in a loop on one of the main screens in the studio. That would be so delightful.

We worked with Alyona for our wedding first dance choreography and had an incredible experience!! We had so much fun dancing with her and our routine turned out so nice! I recently signed my husband and I up for a couple of dance classes at Fred Astaire Dance Studio. I loved our time here. The staff were so welcoming, supportive and professional. Vadym was a great teacher as he taught us a great selection of dances. He also invited us to all major upcoming events. Fred Astaire is also at a convenient location right off of a major road. The great people at FADS operated on my other left foot and my rehab has been simply glorious! If you are a shrinking violet take some lessons. They will help you stand tall and simply glide across the floor. If youre extroverted they will only fine tune your awesomeness (my new word) even more.

Used a Groupon so I cant speak to the ultimate value, but for our two private lessons and one group lesson, they were great! Super friendly people. Super clean facility. They obviously were enjoying what they were doing and we had a lot of fun.

My fiancé and I had a wedding first dance consultation (40 min @ $40) and one lesson (40 min @ $95) and it was terrific... Krystyna was so helpful and encouraging. She took notes and made it easy for us to practice at home too. Would recommend!

Great instructors and a great environment for learners of any skill level. After years of not dancing at military balls, weddings, and corporate business conferences, I thought it was time to learn. The instructors and fellow students are wonderful here. I look forward to every dance lesson and practice party. My instructors are Kirill (the tall one) and Vitali. Both keep lessons fun, even when I am struggling to learn a new technique! The instructors are all great dancers (having watched and danced with all of them at dance parties) and it really does feel like an extended dance family with a welcoming environment from day one. I have been taking lessons for a couple months, which has given me time to explore other dancing opportunities and studios in the Triangle area. Other instructors offering lessons before social dances are okay, but none have impressed me as much as the instructors at Fred Astaire with their combination of professionalism, warmth, and dancing/teaching abilities! I have seen my confidence and following ability grow when dancing at other venues and my posture improve in day-to-day life. The only warning/drawback with their business model is that they do try to push you to take more lessons and dance in more events, be aware of your budget and firm with how much you can do. (Trust me, you will want to do more than you can afford--its addicting!) Thank you to everyone at Fred Astaire for making dance the highlight of my week, allowing me to leave outside stress at the door, and helping me become healthier and happier!

I first went to Fred Astaire because my daughter was getting married, and I had to do a father daughter dance. My daughter who had danced jazz, tap, and ballet for 18 years said to me, dad dont embarrass me, take some lesson, in a rather emphatic kind of voice. I did and liked it so much I have been dancing over 10 years. I have loved every minute. It is great exercise for mind, body, and soul. All the other students are incredibly friendly and non-judgemental about anyones abilities. The teachers know how to tailor each lesson to the personality, goals, and capabilities of the student.....even given good and bad days.I only wish I had started when I was 50 years younger ad kept it up the whole time. Each lesson is fun and worthwhile.

My husband bought a package as a present. He and I both have some prior ballroom experience and were hoping to expand our repertoire and learn more moves. Despite telling our instructor, he insisted on starting with the basic steps that we already knew, and spent the entire lesson trying to sell us on more packages. This happened for three lessons and at that point we decided we were just wasting our time. I expected to receive a service in exchange for a fee, instead we just paid them to be a captive audience for a sales pitch and received no instruction we didnt already know.Save your time and money. Tori was amazing! ABout 2 months out from our wedding date, we scheduled lessons with Tori at Fred Astaire for our first dance. We bought 5 lessons and provided the song we wanted to dance to. Tori edited the music and developed the dance. It took the first four lessons to learn the dance in segments. We put it all together at our 4th lesson and polished it up on the 5th. It was perfect. A little advice, make sure an allow a few months before your wedding date to schedule lessons. This will give you plenty of time to schedule everything out and learn the dance at a relaxed pace. We had so much fun with Tori and we shocked our guests when we busted out or dance :)

Im an average guy who probably last danced in college at some forgettable soiree; last year, I bought my wife and I a gift certificate for three introductory lessons.
