I thought this school was going to be alright for my daughter to finish for middle school but this is her last year. I will be pulling her out. Some of the staff are rude and act like they dont care about the stuff that parents like me call about. Things going on in the classrooms teachers cant control. Teachers quitting every time you turn around. My daughter has had 2 replacements already this year. When you call to get questions about stuff they cant never answer right then they always have to call back. I am completely dissatisfied. And my child always coming home stressed about something with the students and staff as well.

So far so good. Our son has finished sixth grade with excellent test scores and we feel that most of the teachers have supported him well. It would be nice if the teachers communicated more with parents, but administration is definitely supportive. We also strongly endorse the Citizen Schools after-school program as a great enhancement to the curriculum.

LGMS isnt the best school, but the teachers try their best and are trying to make the curriculum fun for us students. The students are the ones acting up and not caring. The teachers try very hard to help those students and teach them, but the students just ignore them and curse as they please. They show no respect and act up, but not all students are like that. There are students who work hard and try their best in class. They ignore the kids around them and show a lot of progress through the year with the help of their teachers.

As a Parent, I must say that this school should be shut down! Some decent teachers, but many disrespectful teachers who try to discourage parental involvement. Poor school leadership, Dangerous learning environment, Unprofessional front office staff, and a Weird, over-eager female Sheriff officer on staff, that likes to Harass the parents from time to time. Had to finally pull my child from this correctional facility of a middle school. Parents: Try charter schools, year round schools, or free online school like K12 for your child Instead of this place.

I go there now. Im in 6 grade and its fun there. Best school and never got bullyed by 7 and 8 graders

This school sucks teachers don’t care about students at all I won’t suggest to go to this school it very ghetto and it need to be shut down I got bullied a lot In this school but I don’t care no more Becuase I’m done with all that I am not gonna mention any names right now but this is a bad school and a ghetto school. Went to ISS for no reason always getting in trouble the teachers are mean SO DONT COME TO THIS SCHOOL ITS TRASH.

Another reason youll regret letting your children go here because of them skii teachers boy oh boy the ugly asl. Sike nah I gotta chill but tbh I only like 1 ap not gone name them but thats the only reason your kid should come here (if she still here)

OK, so im an eighth grader and about to finish middle in a few months, and I have to say, this is a very bad school. If you are looking to make some good friends, well thats really rare here. Most of the teachers here are quite rude and dont care what students will think. They just cant take any constructive criticism, and instead send the students to ISS for no god damn reason. Luckily there is that one gem of a teacher that is really nice and helpful, but they tend to leave the next year due to most of the students taking advantage and constantly disrupting the class. There is an excessive amount of homework and classwork, causing the students to become stressed or just not do it at all (trust me I can tell you that from personal experience). Speaking of classwork, Science Fair projects should not be mandatory! They cost a lot to make and there is no use for them! I believe it shouldnt be mandatory, and at least be an extra credit grade for those who really need it. The school is kept in quite poor condition. The bathrooms are constantly flooded, graffiti has never been washed off the walls (its sharpie, how hard is it to use some nail polish or alcohol and scrub it down?), and im pretty sure the stalls havent been fixed in more than 2 years. The school hasnt been refurbished for im pretty sure more than a decade. The only good things I know about this school (for now), are its counselors, and the STEM group. The counselors are really nice people, and are willing to help you go through your anxiety, depression, etc. The STEM group is a really fun intramural to be a part of. The activities and projects are really fun to do, and students with a good grade should really enjoy it for their next 1-3 years. Was a student here in 89 the only time I didnt have bullies in my life.this place was good to me

I started going to Lowes Grove Middle School in 7th grade ,(2016-2017), and I dont even have the words to express how shocked I was towards the school not being challenging at all, basically how the school was so slack and unorganized. Some of my work efforts werent took to consideration, and THIS SCHOOL IS JUST BASIC, SIMPLE, AND EASY. And I really hope it doesnt effect my education in the future, I plan on being a very successful person and I dont think Lowes Grove Middle School is for me, but of course im a kid so its not my choice. But this is my last year so no more LGMS foolery for me in a little while. But I was the new kid so it may just be me feeling this towards Lowes Grove Middle School. Oh and theres no field day because of the non-stop fighting so yeah, just a lame spirit week but nothing that really wants you to save any middle school memories. But yeah thats it, theres so much more but if this hasnt really changed your mind about reconsidering then the rest will be a rude awakening for you and your children. Good Luck

Now that we are here LETS MAKE LOWES GROVE GREAT AGAIN

I attended this school from 6th to 8th grade and I will always stand by the fact that this is one of the worst schools in North Carolina. Ive been in AIG and honors classes all of my life which are supposed to challenge you. When I went to lowes grove their idea of and excelled class was to assign a worksheet and let the kids run wild, not caring whether they completed the assignment or even learned at all. The standard classes are even worse. The academic side of this school isnt even the worst part. While going there I witnessed very chaotic fights between students almost daily, the worst one was when a massive, assumed to be gang related, fight broke out in the cafeteria and at least 20 students were involved. Many innocent bystanders were injured including myself. To finish, while attending this school we had regular lock downs and drugs/weapons were found almost every time, 3 students I was acquaintances with attempted suicide due to bullying, and the teachers let anything and everything happen in their classrooms (including very sexually suggestive forms of PDA.) Please do not send your children here, there are many better options.

Best school I go there now 2013-2014 we got iPad and the teachers are the best

This school is ok the food sucks worse than your moms the kids barely learn anything the teacher are ok kids will probably fail the eog the good thing is they give you iPad to kill time in class there are allway fight in the school if you want your son/daughter to work at McDonalds or any place were the pay is bad send them here

I graduated there in 2007 and let me tell you these kids think their grown. They will curse, whine for getting into trouble and have no respect for their teachers. If I were a parent, I will pull my child out of that school and send her to school where students act their age
