Our 3rd child is now entering the program. What a great time and experience it has been for all of them. It is with pride that we consistently invite our friends and family to the bi-annual performances. The top quality fun and work really show during the performances. The teachers are highly skilled and educated, and the volunteers do a great job. I highly recommend this organization.

Our daughter is so happy to be a part of the Young Voices family. These kids are encouraged to really learn music and develop in all areas of musical growth. The staff is very professional and compassionate. We love that the group offers personal fundraising accounts and plenty of opportunities to perform local, national, and international. My child has developed her octave range and continues to learn with all the new certification programs. This is a stellar program!

As the parent of a musician, I cannot help but sing the praises of Young Voices of Colorado. My personal knowledge of the directors and staff preceded our involvement with the organization and my deepest respect only grew once we met. HERE is where children come to learn and grow in the deep, deep joy and lifelong love of music. By training, rehearsing, working, laughing, and discovering, each director instills life to every piece the students undertake. The joy of musicianship is evident in this organization and it will always have my heartfelt appreciation.

I was here for 11 years and I swear it was a home away from home! Great people, very friendly. Everyone gets along and it’s like a second family! I suggest bringing your child here if you want them to learn excellent music skills. I rate it an 11/10!! I definitely would send my kids here when and if I have kids!!! I love it!

This is a great organization and the teachers and staff are amazing! I have seen other choirs in my time, but never have I seen children of all ages so excited and thrilled about singing and learning music than I have at Young Voices. All of the directors and staff do a fantastic job and are focused on the whole child, and the needs of the group, and not just repeatedly learning a new song by rote. I have seen singers here make lifelong friends, amazing memories and experiences, all while developing a love and appreciation for music.

I highly recommend Young Voices of Colorado! My children joined this organization when they were very young. They have made lifelong friends, have confidence when they sing in in public, and they can even read music. One of my children was very successful in high school. He was in All State Choir for two years in a row. He even made it in to the Jazz All State Choir! Would never have done this without the help of Young Voices. He koves to sing so much, he is now a freshman in college and was accepted into the school of music for vocal performance. This is just one of many success stories. I am truly grateful for Young Voices of Colorado! They will always be a part of our family!

We have been attending Young Voices for several years now and are very pleased with the staff and the program. They have always been professional and courteous with us. My daughter is now in the Signature ensemble and I am impressed and appreciative of the valuable instruction she is receiving. She is not just learning vocal training and music theory but also professional responsibility. She now understands how the actions of just one singer can affect the entire group. She practices in her own time and makes sure she is not late for any rehearsals or events. A sincere Thank You to the staff at Young Voices for not just teaching top notch vocal performance and music theory but also inspiring my daughters love and appreciation of music itself and holding her to the highest standard of professional responsibility.

As a vocal music educator, I have attended Young Voices concerts and rehearsals and am astonished at the music education handed to these young students. The directors in Young Voices are truly a class act. They bring impeccable musicianship skills to children while imparting a love for music and a pride in self-discipline. More than a few of my students and friends have said that Young Voices changed their lives. Thank you, Young Voices of Colorado, for all that you do for our kids!

Our family has been a part of Young Voices of Colorado for almost five years. I wish I could give them 10 stars! The staff in this organization pour their heart and soul into the children and bring out the best in them - both musically and in character development. Our kids look forward to rehearsals every week. The result of the weekly efforts is the Young Voices concerts which are world class. Along with preparation for the stage performance the weekly rehearsals go into great depth in music theory for a well rounded music education. Like any good educational institution, they do have rules and policies that we need to cooperate with in order to see great results in our kids. Our family feels privileged to be a part of this wonderful choir!

I grew up singing in this choir and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only did I make great friends but I also grew in my vocal technique, sight singing, and overall confidence! When I joined YVC, I gained a wonderful choir family. Now, I am accompanying for Brio! I highly recommend joining this organization. :)

Young Voices of Colorado has been an amazing experience for my daughter. Not only is she learning vocal control and music theory, it is a wonderful environment with supportive and knowledgeable directors that have helped her to blossom into an amazing young woman. Her self esteem has risen, and she is now comfortable doing presentations in school, something she never would have done before she joined Young Voices. She says she wishes she could come every day!

I have know Jena since childhood so I know her heart and soul is in music and sharing her love of music with young people. I grew up with a strong music program in school and learned so much from the experience. With all the cuts to school music programs, kids today do not have that opportunity. Young voices provides training not just in music but in teamwork, living in harmony with others and commitment. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to grow into whole, complete adults. Please support Young Voices of Colorado.

My sister and I are both Young Voices of Colorado alumnus and had incredible experiences. The lessons I learned during my time in Young Voices proved to be valuable throughout my life. I went on to play the piano and was on the drumline in both high school and college. The confidence I gained through Young Voices not only set the stage for performing in those endeavors, but also helped me feel comfortable during ballet solos in my adolescence. Even as an adult I reach back to my Young Voices roots as I take on leadership roles and engage in public speaking events for large crowds. I hope many more children could experience the opportunity of singing with Young Voices. Im looking forward to the day when my daughter is old enough to begin!

Had my children in this choir for over 5 years starting at the youngest training choir and now in the highest, have nothing but praise for this program! Love the varied repertoir and comprehensive music theory curriculum. Beautiful performances and the festival are a real treat. Excellent directors and friendly staff. The rules are fair and straightforward, and expectations are very clear. High level of musical instruction requires dedication and commitment, and children greatly benefit from it. I appreciate that we know the schedule for the entire year ahead of time, also appreciate multiple opportunities for children to perform, they sang with various prominent orchestra throughout Denver Metro, and with Brit Floyd in Red Rocks. School tours are always a highlight of the year for my kids, my oldest is now looking forward to his first international tour with YVC.

Young Voices has been an excellent organization to be a part of. My daughter has grown with the organization for 7+ years. She regularly comments on how happy she is that she made the commitment to stay with Young Voices, as it has developed her musically and socially. She has developed amazing, quality relationships with the students, directors, and YV staff. YV requires dedication and structure, challenging our children to put forth their full effort, which is evident in the quality of their productions and student development. I am very grateful for this organization and the valuable experience they provide for our children, year after year. I couldnt ask for a better choral experience.

We have been so happy with YVC. This is not an easy program and I love that for my 11 yr old. They treat the kids like professional musicians from day one. We need this for our son because it makes him proud, work harder and most of life lets kids do whatever they like without serious consequences. My son has blossomed with confidence and knowledge of music. He can look strangers in the eye when meeting them and feel confident on the stage. The only negative is there are a number of families who struggle with the rules because there is little wiggle room on the rules/policies. The good thing is they are all communicated ahead of time so you know what you are signing up for. The problem comes when people feel they have good reasons to break with policy or just want to do something different. Then its tense because Im proud to say YVC is fair across the board, rules is rules. Please note, it looks like one angry family has listed the same complaint under several names on Yelp. Thats a shame. Im sure they have their own reason to be upset but its not multiple people in the same 7-10 days after so many years of wonderful instruction.

Young Voices of Colorado is an excellent place for children with a passion for music. Jena, Margie, Chrys and all share their wisdom and encouragement. Their students are taught how to work as a team as they develop a lifelong appreciation of music. Plus they are offered so many other life enhancing opportunities such as the self confidence to perform on stage, with others, how to host and welcome other choirs at SAMH and the opportunity to travel with the choir. An added bonus is if the family gets involved and enjoys the happiness, the actives and the comaraderie.

My daughter, who is now a music teacher in Naperville IL, learned and grew so much musically during her years in Young Voices (approximately 7 years). It is a demanding organization but that how one grows. Jena and Chrys and the rest of the crew truly believe in their students and help bring out their best musicality through every rehearsal and performance. I highly recommend this organization to those families who want their students to rise above the rest!!!

YVC is the best! My daughter has been with them for 9 years now. We appreciate how they have taught her to read music and music theory as it has helped her in the long run as she began to play violin in 6th grade. Now that she is a Junior she still sings and plays violin. She loves YVC as do I.

My daughter is in her 7th year with YVC. She has now participated in every single choir level offered. The quality of music education is amazing. The performance and community experiences are fabulous, and I am confident to send her off to Europe on her own with YVC in the summer of 2019! Young Voices has enriched her childhood with partnership and musical expertise; we are beyond grateful.

My son was recommended to Young Viices from his elementary choir teacher that was moving. We live in Denver and hadn’t heard of Young Voices. My son tried out and wanted to join. That was a year and half ago. He has loved every practice, every performance and every camp. He loves the teachers (Mrs Jena) all the staff and most of all his “choir friends” Young Voices has been one of the best expiences of his young life. He has also learned discipline and determination. They have rules and policies which you need to run a fantastic choir group. He never wants to miss practice and he looks at it like a sports team. “You can’t miss practice playing football (he plays) or the team will fail. It’s no difference with choir.” ThAts a quote from my 11 year old. If you are considering Young Voices - you and your child will never look back!

I have nothing but great things to say about Young Voices of Colorado. My daughter is starting her sixth year there (started in 2nd grade!), and my husband and I have been thrilled with everything that YVC has done for her growth as a singer, her love for music and as a responsible human being. The staff goes above and beyond and it is obvious from the very first moment that theyre in it because they absolutely love what they do and want to help the kids excel and find joy in music. The two concerts they put out every year at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts are absolutely top notch. Every time I think they wont be able to outdo themselves in terms of the program, the signing and the production value, and every time Im proven wrong. My extended family, my friends and I have always had an amazing and thoroughly enjoyable experience at these concerts and look forward to them every season. In terms of communication, all the different rules and expectations are clearly spelled out in more than one format, from the monthly newsletter to the website to in-person communication. If a family is not aware of something, I must say its because they havent given this the attention it deserves (and requires). While some would call the rules strict, I believe 100% that this is the only way to run such a successful program that has given so many kids the gift of music!I have highly recommended YVC in the past five years and will continue to do so, as I believe in the program and its highly qualified and dedicated teachers and staff.

I am an advocate of performing arts - specifically music-related performing arts since all of my children were involved in various musical performing arts programs while they were in school. I discovered YVC after all three of my kids graduated HS, but was so impressed with the quality of the program I wanted to volunteer for them. My only disappointment is that I discovered them too late for my kids to participate! Ive now volunteered for almost five years and their program continues to evolve for the better. Staff members are passionate and talented musicians in their own rights and are now instilling that same passion in their students. Besides age-appropriate music theory, students learn commitment (showing up on time for all rehearsals teaches respect for the teachers and their peers), teamwork (learning to blend their voices with their peers for the ultimate choral experience), confidence (performing at DUs Newman Center in front of hundreds of patrons), and, starting this year (Fall 2018), have the option to participate in certification programs in Music Theory and Voice - assessed and awarded locally and through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. YVCs program truly is one-of-a-kind - and its practically in my back yard! (south Denver Metropolitan area) As a volunteer, its been a joy to watch students grow into mature and seasoned performers. Theyve performed two or three times at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod (I saw them perform there in 2015!) and YVC has been asked to accompany Brit Floyds Red Rocks performance each summer for a number of years. How many other private childrens choirs can say theyve competed internationally AND on stage at Red Rocks Amphitheater?

As a recent graduate of YVC, they have become a part of my family. YVC was a place that I was able to open up at and be myself. When I had to switch to online schooling due to health issues, I was completely distraught that I would be unable to sing with the choir I knew and loved for four years, but YVC gave me the chance to keep singing, even if it wasnt with the same people. I created many good memories there and made so many new friends. The program has helped me immensely in my music theory, sight-reading, and especially my communication skills. Although it can get rigorous with learning the music, the end results are well worth it all, and I can say I left with good feelings. Ms. Jena, Ms. Margie, and Ms. Chrys really helped me become a new person while I was at YVC and I cannot thank everyone there enough for helping me become who I am today and letting me continue my love for singing.

My child is not old enough for the program, but she has been a welcomed there since she was born. To give an example of this, I performed as a clarinetist for YVC and I brought my daughter, who was two at the time with me. She followed a young lady and sat with her. Becca and her friends asked her if she had a favorite song. She was shy and one asked if she liked Frozen. They all then proceeded to sing, Let It Go to my daughter. This is the kind of musical environment one strives to belong to.Two years ago, my wife and I were listening to Christmas music on CPR and listened to these angelic young voices singing a Christmas song I have never heard. I stopped what I was doing to listen. My heart was filled with the joy. I turned to my wife and said that was one of the most beautiful songs I had ever heard. Then the DJ announced that we had just finished hearing The Young Voices of Colorado. I have performed and listened to YVC many times over the years and the quality of music produced by YVC is professional.Something that will never be publicized is that YVC have taken in children with disabilities. As you can imagine, this is difficult for everyone involved. Yet, YVCs structure and experience lends itself to better all those involved in the program, especially the young voices. Only an experienced and highly-trained and professional staff can do that and execute with the highest of standards. Young Voices of Colorado achieve this year after year!If you are looking for a music program that teaches music, music theory and how to be a leader, this is the program for you. The kids know their role and the perform it well. Oh yes, the kids have fun. There is a lot of structure involved and they tell you this on the first day you arrive. This is repeated often so that everyone understands. This is how Young Voices of Colorado is able to maintain their professional-level standards. As to one of the negative comments, I am a person of color and I can tell you that YOU ARE WRONG when it comes to YVC being racist! Racism is all around us, but it does not exist in Young Voices of Colorado. I would not associate myself with them in any fashion if I saw or experienced this. As a person of color, I am careful to throw around RACE, because when we do so recklessly, we devalue claims of TRUE racism. Im sure there was a comment that could be interpreted in a way that makes you believe racism is involved. If you look into the hearts of the people involved, this is just not the case. Im sure you are reasonable person. Please, be careful with those claims. I personally have tried to help YVC to get more diverse, it is simply not their faults that it doesnt happen in Centennial. There is no fault, just demographics.

I cant understand why someone, or multiple, would go out of their way to make a businesss rating go down, its childish and unecessary. I have heard nothing but GOOD things come from YVC. To those complaining about their child not getting in, its an audition, not everyone gets in. Secondly, Signture is not an EASY thing. Its stressful. Its difficult. But I hardly think that any good teacher would just tell someone to leave for a single note being wrong.Ill stand by this 5 star rating, Id rate it higher if I could because of the love and compasion that Ive heard comes from this place. Any 1 star ratings or fake revies are just salty and need to go reasses their values in life.
