“Let’s roll!” That’s not the only thing that happens at Underdog Jiu-Jitsu. Small and focused classes that teach the basics and advance into more technical techniques as the night progresses. All skill levels can learn from this focused environment. The instructor, Jon, is always encouraging and guiding his students to succeed. I’ve learned many things the last few weeks I’ve attended. Every month a free private class is given to each student to roll, talk, or practice anything they want. I’m looking forward to using mine for Muay Tai. Great place to start or continue BJJ.

Coach Beale is a master of instruction. He provides information that one can easily apply not only on the mat but in life. He instills confidence in his students while pushing them to be better in the gentle art of jiu jitsu. Coach Beale is ‘one-in-a-million’ and his attention to detail is second to none. Explaining to others the feeling of being fortunate stumbling upon Underdogs is a massive understatement. You will grow as a person tenfold through Underdogs’ system.

This gym and Jon really made me love Jiu Jitsu. My boyfriend attended this gym and convinced me to join him and I’m forever grateful for that because like is said, it introduced me to Underdog Jiu Jitsu! Being a beginner and a girl I was very nervous to attend my first class but was immediately greeted with tons of encouragement and support- both by Coach Jon and my teammates. Everyone that attends is super supportive and quick to lend a helping hand if you’re confused about something. I’ve learned so much from the few short weeks I’ve been here. It’s 100% worth the price and the drive to be apart of a positive and fun environment. Would def recommend. Plus you’d be supporting a small business and you learn a lot of valuable self defense !!

The coach is an extraordinary teacher. As a someone that is new to the martial arts world, he had no issue breaking things down to where I could understand. The other students were helpful as well. When I come back into town. This will definitely be a class to come to.

Man this place was a good place to train. I came in and it was open arms and a good welcome. This place is what you want to be when you come in to cross train. Underdogs is a great place for hobbyists and competitors to learn/train Jiu-Jitsu! The coach is very dedicated to the sport and his team. If you’re in the Fayetteville area this is the team you need to join.

I have learned a lot for being there for only a few weeks. I really recommend it to people that need to learn how to defend yourself. Also, the coach is very calm about how he teaches. One more thing the price to learn here is very good for what and how much you learn.

Best price for miles. Ive tried 3 bjj gyms around the area this is my favorite. Has gi but is a mostly nogi gym which I enjoy. Unlimited classes per month with a private session included

Great place! Instructors are very hands on and welcoming. I was nervous going in since I didn’t have any martial arts experience but John and Chad made it very easy for me to learn. There are 1v1 lessons; group sessions and time to practice with your peers. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to learn Jiu-Jitsu.
