My two kids went on this tour and they had a blast! The tour guy stopped to tell them about the area every once and a while. They said the scenery was beautiful. We would 100% do this tour again. The boats were even easy to manage and steer.

The tour was great. Boat left on time, tour guide very informative and great sense of humor. Saw lots of dolphins and the wild horses. The captain was super...learned a lot of history of area.5 stars!

We rented umbrellas and very comfortable beach chairs from Riptide Watersports Rentals and they were great!!! Riptide made our trip so much better!! The chairs were set up and ready to go each morning and we had no trouble at all with the umbrellas even though it was very windy. This is a wonderful company!

The reservation process was quick and easy. The woman who handled the reservation was very nice and professional. Our chairs were dropped off early and picked up after 5 each day. One day, we forgot to move our belongings before pick up and the staff laid them neatly on the sand. The chairs and umbrellas were great quality. This is a service we will use every time we visit. This tour is SO MUCH FUN! Not just for tourist, we live on the island and it was a great way to spend the day. Zach, our guide, was a great guy with tons of local knowledge and a great eye. We hit the water tour jackpot and saw dolphins, a manatee, and a large group of wild horses. The boats are easy to drive and the tour is long enough that you really feel like you are getting your monies worth. Highly recommend, thanks Riptide.

Riptide put together a wonderful family paddle boarding lesson and tour for my crew.Zach was a great instructor and guide. Not only did we have a fun paddle boarding exertion, we also got a wonderful lesson about the local wild life, including pelicans, ospreys, white spoon bills (who were turning pink), eagles, shrimp and more.I would definitely use them again.

Easy and convenient. Scheduled everything online. Chairs and umbrella were there on the beach each day when they said they would be. So nice to have someone else set up and take down down. No need to lug everything back and forth each day. I will say though that it is a bit pricey so it might not be for everyone. We like easy, so works for us.

We did the Craigcats and it was awesome. Dress appropriately because you are going to get soaked. We saw dolphins, wild horses and I found a shark tooth from a shark that went extent over 5 million years ago. The two guides were fantastic as well. They were very knowledgeable and funny. Just a great experience.

We had such a great time riding the Craig Cat. Our guide, Kyle, was super friendly, informative and professional. He knew so much about Fernandina and the surrounding area. The 2 1/2 trip was well worth the price.

We ordered beach chairs and an umbrella! Riptide set up the chairs by 9AM each day, and picked them up after 5PM each night. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the beach in a Amelia Island, and thanks to Riptide we didn’t have to worry about chairs or an umbrella! Our family of 12 enjoyed our CraigCat boat tour. We traveled all the way to Cumberland Island and saw wild horses. The tour guide was informative, energetic, and very responsive. We would do the tour again. It was a fun family event.

We rented bikes way in advance planning an out of town vacation. The day came and the weather was very unfavorable with thunderstorms all day. When I called I spoke with Kristy who was very helpful and refunded us. Though we didnt get the chance to use the equipment, this places customer service is too notch and we will definitely use them in the future!

We did the Riptide CraigCat Tour with Cris and we had the time of our lives. Cris, you are AMAZING!! He told the best stories and had so much fun and insightful information about the area. Our son rode with him and is still raving about how much fun he had. We have traveled the world and never done anything like this tour. It was so fun and unique and we feel very blessed to have had this experience. If you are in Amelia Island, you have to do this tour. It is one of those things you will never forget!

WOW! Ive never had an experience with a company in a beach town that went so far and above what was expected! I was so pleasantly surprised at the service, friendliness and professionalism of Riptide Watersports! ASHELY was fantastic and so helpful! She remembered my name and what wed discussed when I called back the next day to book a beach set up. Riptide was super easy to work with when renting our chairs and umbrella for the beach! I loved being able to cancel our chairs/umbrellas the next day (if you call or text by a certain time the day before). Sometimes you change your mind about going to the beach the next day and plan something else. So its super nice to be able to cancel and not have to pay for your chairs and umbrella to sit on the beach unused all day (also, if you know its 100% change of rain the next day-its great to be able to cancel). We decided to do the Craig Cat tour (WORTH IT!!) and ASHLEY was fantastic about describing what it entails and providing important info. They made it easy to pay (just added the tour to my running tab of sorts for payment). They gave great directions on where to go for the boat tour. Kyle was so nice, informative and patient on our boat tour. We loved the seeing Cumberland Island! At one point, I even ask Ashely via text for a restaurant recommendation and she sent one back! Bravo Riptide!

If youre looking for something to add a VERY memorable moment while on vacation, THIS IS IT!!! Kyle, our tour guide was absolutely amazing! He was full of every bit of history about the area dating wayyy back. We were lucky enough to see a nuclear powered submarine getting escorted out into the sea by the coast guard and actually got directed to park the boats on Cumberland Island ( Where the wild horses are)! Kyle was extremely thoughtful and attentive in ensuring we were having the time of our lives. He took all of our photos, had cold bottles of water in a cooler waiting for us and never rushed us from one spot to another. During the first part of the trip, I lost my hat after i didnt listen to Kyles advice that it might blow away. After the tour, my wife and i went back to our hotels swimming pool. When we finished swimming and headed back to the room, there was a gift bag from Kyle on our bed with a sweet Riptide hat in it! It was better than the one i had! Hands down this is worth the money! So much was seen and many memories were made. This absolutely made our vacation! Thank you Kyle for being so incredibly kind and generous to us!

Zack, out tour guide on our 10th wedding anniversary trip, did a great job of wrangling a couple different groups at the same time, one even getting stuck in the mud on accident before we left the marina, haha. Hes a very personable young man and is a great conversationalist. On our trip we saw wild horses, parked on a wild island to find sharks teeth, saw a nuclear attack submarine get escorted out the channel by coast guard gun boats, got rained on (it was fun!), and ended the tour with a large pod of dolphins guiding us in (Im not kidding you). It was the highlight of our trip, completely hands down, and that was just the first day! Nothing could have ruined our trip after the experience we had on the CraigCat. The boat was clean, very well maintained, comes with free bottled water, and is a blast to drive (on placid and choppy seas alike :) ). We had so much fun, we earnestly considered buying CraigCats once we got home. Riptide is running an exemplary business, and should be a must-do during your time on Amelia Island. Kitchen 251 nextdoor was surprisingly very good for lunch right after our water tour. All in all, a great morning!

We had a narrow window of time to fit in a bike ride before we had to leave for the airport and needed to rent bikes. The guys at Riptide were awesome! Kyle gave us some great advice on where to ride and recommended we meet at a beach park to pick up the bikes. They were willing to meet us a little early, before they normally deliver bikes, because of our short time window. They let us leave the bikes (locked up) at the park when we were done without having to wait for them to pick them up. Riptides flexibility and top notch customer service made our last day on Amelia a fantastic one! Will definitely use them again if were in the area.

One of the BEST experiences we have had (on the Craigcat boats) with our amazing tour guide Cris--we had a blast and we cannot wait to do this again. We saw dolphins, turtles and even wild horses on the Cumberland Island beach. These craft are a BLAST to drive as well--you have to try this!

We took an exciting CraigCat (kinda like a 2 person catamaran go cart) group trip to Cumberland Island where we saw a dolphin, alligator, and wild horses and then stopped to do some shelling. Chris gave use a nice tour and was patient with us novice boaters. The trip lasted 2 1/2 hrs and water was provided. Chris took pictures which we could download. Be sure to wear sunscreen and be prepared to have a lot of fun.

We had two adult bikes, one with the toddler seat. The bikes were delivered right on time on the day of our arrival! The bike with the toddler seat needed a little extra air in the tire, and Riptide sent someone right away. Their service and bikes were outstanding for our family.Bicycling on the island is the best way to experience all there is to see. We saw Armadillos, lizards, rabbits, and plenty of tiny lizards. Our son (almost 4) loved riding in the seat, and asked to go on a ride every day for the week we had them.

We booked umbrellas and chairs for a 4 day stay at Seaside Amelia Inn. The good was that the chairs were out very early and out fairly late every evening.The bad was that 2 of the 4 days we had umbrellas that would not go up (once) or stay up (once). We paid 120 dollars over 4 days. Would have appreciated operating umbrellas. The chairs were fine but a little rusty/beat up.

The customer service is fantastic! Our umbrella and chairs were set up and waiting right on time. We also rented a paddle board. Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and considerate. Highly recommend!!

This was probably our 6th annual family vacation on Amelia Island that we have used Riptide for umbrella and beach chairs rental and as usual it all went smoothly and the service was fantastic. With close to 25 of us and several order requests to be combined in set-up location they always get it right (and if we want something done a little differently they have been very accommodating). This year I know has to be extra precarious for Riptide with the ongoing Covid restrictions and regulation changes. I dont know how we would handle our vacation beach time without your service so I hope you keep hanging in there. Again, thank you for all you do!

What an awesome day, we went on the boat with Kyle for a trip over to Cumberland island. He grew up on amelia island so he was very informative of the history of Amelia island as well as all the surrounding islands. It was a very nice boat and a smooth comfortable trip. We saw the wild horses on Cumberland and they came within 10 feet of the boat, we also saw dolphin on the way back. This is perfect for all ages as my parents are in the late 70s.

I use Riptide every summer at Amelia, and they have never let me down. Excellent service, great guys, very nice equipment; Toby gets it done! Highly recommended!

This past weekend my wife and I took the kayaking guided tour ride through Simpsons Creek. Our tour guide Kyle, was extremely knowledgable, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Riptide and especially Kyle as your guided tour.

Name is slighlty misleading, dont know how they are to work with.

They called right as we arrived for our scheduled appointment time and cancelled our boat trip. The reason that they stated was that there were many “red cells” on the radar. However, the skies were as blue as could be and it didn’t rain at all. Totally unprofessional to cancel at the last minute and totally fabricate a bogus reason! I would not recommend!

Very reliable equipment and service. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I approached the guy on the beach setting up umbrellas and chairs and asked, How can I get one? He was very polite and had what he needed to take my information. That same morning, I received a phone call to verify what I needed and for what duration and was soon hooked up. The set up was done very early every morning and the umbrella stayed in place on a very windy day.

My entire family and extended family rent our beach chairs and umbrellas from Riptide every summer. They have the best customer service on Amelia and we look forward to our next vacation!
