I’ve flown all over the United States with different helicopter companies and I can by far say this one is the absolute best one I’ve flown with! Eli the pilot is amazing to work with! He makes flying fun yet safe! Highly recommend flying with Longhorn helicopters any day! I will definitely be flying with them again soon.

Ive had the pleasure of working with Longhorn Helicopters over the past few months. Theyve been a delight to work with. Their doors off helicopter tours are really cool. Imagine yourself being in the skies above Dallas and Fort Worth with your legs dangling outside the helicopter. You wont be disappointed.

I have taken a couple flights with Longhorn and collaborated on a huge helicopter ride event downtown Dallas and they were some of the best experiences ever! They have such a great team of professionals that made me feel safe and comfortable the whole time. If you want to experience the city from above, Longhorn is the way to go!!

My fiancée and I had an AMAZING experience with Longhorn Helicopters! Seeing the city and sights from heights taller than any skyscraper gave us a view and experience that I will NEVER forget. I actually proposed to my fiancée while on our heli-tour, and I really can’t imagine a more unique and memorable way for me to do it. If you are ever in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, you should definitely give Longhorn Helicopters a call and inquire about a tour for yourself! I recommend Mr. Eli Maloy as your trusty pilot, because he sure showed us an awesome time!

As an aviator making the military to civilian transition, Longhorn was the perfect place to receive training. The Enstrom 280FX would be an easier transition compared to the R22, they handled all of the VA paperwork, and the Director of Training and Director of Operations were both army aviators.I completed my Airline Transport Pilot - Helicopter course in a week. I used my post 9/11 GI Bill and was able to come in, conduct training and not have to deal with any of the VA paperwork, or probably most importantly, without having to pay up front and wait for reimbursement (which is how other 141 schools operate).The individuals working at Longhorn were great, they were welcoming, professional, and knowledgable. My instructor JR took extra time to ensure all of my questions were answered, that I had a strong understanding of the material, and that I was fully prepared for the checkride.The biggest benefit I found from going through Longhorn (vs another 141 school) was dealing with questions I had relating to the transition from military to civilian aviation, like logbooks, and general differences - providing answers to questions I didnt even know to ask that will undoubtably help me in finding a job.
