Very enjoyable trail ride! Loved my horse. Only issue was one of the ladies coming over and yelling at me telling me to not pull on the horse when standing there. My horse was wanting to go and I was simply backing him up to let him know we werent going forward. I have shown horses for years and a professionally trained rider, I think I know what Im doing.Other than that it was great. Horse was very quiet on the trail and very responsive to leg pressure which is how I was trained to ride so made it even better!Thank you for the reply. No apology. I understand but the tone of voice used and the way it was said is what bothered me the most, beginner or advanced it should have been done in a nicer manner. I did make sure what I was doing was done in a safe matter. If I hadnt done something the horse would have just decided it was time to go! Lol. Yes we will be back.

My daughter is too little for actual horseback riding lessons, but we were able to sign her up for a lead line ride! She has in heaven— Ms. Kayla was so kind & patient with her, & Bob was a perfect gentleman. We will be back!

Really nice place the trail is fun & horses are pretty calm just like to stop for a lil snack of grass and shrubs often if you let them 😅. Very easy and first time horse rider friendly I rode Walt. I’m 235 5’2 and was petty comfortable. Wear sunscreen and my lead was Kylie she was pretty awesome, good conversation and very knowledgeable of horses and made good suggestions about other things to try in the area. Picture person wasn’t there so can’t comment on that.

Only visit once for a 3yr old birthday party. The kids really did enjoy themselves they got to ride the horse, even got a hey ride. The people who own very polite, friendly very helpful will be going back.

I rented one of the party spaces at Benbrook Stables to host a birthday gathering for my husband earlier this month. It was such a great facility: beautiful, well kept, and the weather was perfect. I mostly worked with Steve and he was so easy to work with, pleasant, and very helpful. When I arrived the day of the party, his son, who also works there, greeted me and helped me get situated. Our guests had a lovely time. It was a great evening. Thank you!

I had the best trail ride with my family today. We were in town for a few days, and Benbrook Stables gave us the best memories on this trip. If we are ever are in Texas again, we will be back. Highly recommend.

My daughters and I recently visited for the 1 hour trail ride. The young lady who assisted us was fabulous. The trail ride was quite nice. There are a couple of locations where the trail parallels the paved road, but traffic was extremely light, so no issues. The horses know the route quite well so it was somewhat like being on autopilot. A nice peaceful ride that was enjoyed by all. If you are looking for a quick get away with the family, then a visit to Benbrook Stables is worth it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Benbrook Stables! They have THE best trail rides! Their trail horses are unflappable! They take you through creeks, up and down hills, and through some beautiful countryside- especially during Spring. Bluebonnet season explodes on those trails! Absolutely gorgeous! The 2-hour trail ride is incredible! Gorgeous views of Benbrook Lake, its definitely a must-do!The staff are all so fun and kind. They truly care for all the horses at their barn, and it shows! Their trail horses are beautiful, healthy, happy and have great work ethic. The staff takes special care to make sure each horses needs are met.I leased one of their horses, Blaze, for about 8 months (their lease program is awesome and surprisingly affordable) I wanted to buy him, but sadly, hes too valuable to them to sell. We had some great adventures together. I ended up buying my own horse and boarding her there at Benbrook Stables. The staff immediately welcomed her and helped her settle in. So grateful to all of them! When my horse got colic over the holidays, the staff were totally ontop of it! They got her up and walking and wouldnt let her down, they called me immediately and waited for the vet to come. Praise Jesus, the vet saved her. If it werent for the staffs quick actions though, she might not have made it.Every year the barn participates in the Stockyards parade and the Grand Entry! They offer up their trail horses so you can participate with them! Its an incredible experience! I got to ride a pretty little mare named Seven, and my daughter rode a horse named Turtle in the grand entry! It was so much fun!!!!I dont normally write reviews, but Benbrook Stables deserves it! Ive brought lots of non-horsey friends and family to go on their awesome trail rides. Theyve all gone back to do it again! I cant wait to ride in the grand entry again too!Thank you, Benbrook Stables!!!!! I always have the best time with you guys!I could seriously go on forever 😁

This summer my kids attended Benbrook Stables summer camp this year and they can not stop talking about how much fun they had. We just wanted to thank Benbrook Stables for giving Lydia and Julian the best summer and we cant wait to bring them back.

I called to schedule an appointment on a Wednesday for Saturday morning at 11. I arrived at 10:40, as I was instructed to arrive 15 minutes early and to bring extra money to tip the guide if I chose to. Upon arrival I was asked if I was there for a trail ride, to which I replied yes. She asked for my name as shes looking at her clip board. I gave her my name and then she asked for my phone number...still scrolling through the list. She asked Did I have you down for 11?. I replied yes. She walked away a couple of times and then returned to say that I wasnt on her list. I showed her the call log with the business phone number, which was a 4 min. call. I also made it a point to tell her that Im a nurse who works nights, and I stayed up after working 12 hours to be there. Not only that, but I drove 30 min. to get there. Once again she walked away and returned saying that she had spoken to the owner and there were no horses available. I cant help but to think this was an issue of race. It was obvious that my name was on the list as I never mentioned I was there for a trail ride or that I was scheduled for 11. What kind of business doesnt try to accommodate a customer for their mistake? What is the point of calling to make an appointment if the owner can conveniently not find your name on the list? The lack of professionalism and lack of consideration for someones elses time is unreal. Not sure if it would even matter, but if you book an appointment make sure you get some kind of confirmation. Also beware that they use discretion on who can utilize their services. I would never patronize a business like this.

Awesome and enjoyable horsebackride

I have had my horses at Benbrook Stables for over 15 years. more than 90% of the boarders have been here for many years. We are all very happy and in great hands. The horses are loved and so well cared for. The staff cares for everyones horse like they are their own. Most boarders who have something horrible to say about the Stables, or the staff and owners, are usually bad apples that were asked to leave, for one reason or the other. We are a family friendly group of horsemen who do not care for the drama that the bad apples bring in. If you are looking for a fun welcoming environment. It is the greatest place in Fort Worth. If you are drama filled or a pain in the butt, you wont last long!

I had the best trail ride with Benbrook Stables a little over a month ago. It was such a relaxing hour with friendly trail guides. I look forward to coming back soon.

Update: Molly is incorrect. Her lying statements are laughable. Ive posted a true statement of my experience with Benbrook Stables. I was not pleased with Benbrook Stables from the beginning, after my daughters first lesson. Ive posted a few photos of the issues I mentioned in my post. Yes, I did stay while my daughter during the lessons, since she is only 5 years old and the lessons are only 30 minutes long. Saying they teach well rounded, total horsemanship is a complete falsehood. Ive learned this is the standard elsewhere, but not at Benbrook Stables. Do your own research, youll quickly learn the truth. Benbrook Stables is a rip-off and does a terrible job.What a terrible experience we had with my daughters riding lessons at Benbrook Stables! Without much shopping around I paid and signed up for five lessons for my daughter. After the first lesson I knew right away I was not going to sign up or pay for additional lessons with Benbrook Stables. I called around and did lots of homework. I found much nicer facilities with newer stables and covered arenas making it more enjoyable in the summer heat and after a heavy rain. Not to mention the rates are only $50 for an entire hour of private instruction elsewhere. Benbrook charges $50 for 30 minutes of group instruction! The stables at Benbrook look rundown, the area where they conduct lessons is not even covered. After even a little bit of rain there are puddles all around and the horses do not want to walk in the water puddles. Even the instructors don’t want to walk in the water puddles to teach the lessons. We had a less one day after a heavy rain, the instructor stayed on her horse just about entire time rather than walking up and helping my daughter. To add icing on the cake, only one of the instructors was really good with my five-year-old child. I specifically requested this instructor on future lessons and was told that he would not be available as he had other jobs to do there at the stables. I was very disappointed especially when that particular instructor told me he had a daughter my exact age. I felt like that’s why he was able to communicate so well with my daughter - he really understood her and seemed to like kids.Benbrook stables did not at all try to accommodate what was best for my daughter and her learning. In fact they didn’t seem to care at all. I guess in the end they did me a favor not only did I find a better price but also better facilities. I would definitely check around before I ever went to this facility if I had to do it all again. I would also request to have the same instructor for all instruction. As some people are just with kids than others.Benbrook stables is overpriced, not well maintained and they do not care about anything except their revenue. Stay away!

What an experience my wife and I had on a guided horseback trail ride! We had the most amazing gal leading our crew while making sure we knew the ins and outs of the trails, lake, and more! Highly recommend for any family, husbands & wives, children and all to get out to Benbrook Stables for a riding lesson or trail ride!

I LOVE this place and Love the staff.I first went there on a date, thinking what a creative place to go for a first date. I wasn’t wrong at all. The staff was engaging with us and helped easy the “first date” tension. The horses were healthy, calm and easy to ride, even for my date who had never ridden a horse before.Since then, we’ve been back several times. We’ve even rented out the pavilion for a large party. That was the easiest thing to do. It was perfect for our evening gathering.I highly recommend Benbrook Stables!

I love taking the trail rides and bringing out of state friends to ride! They take such great care of all the beautiful horses. We love Benbrook Stables! Highly recommend!

They do not pay their employees what they are owed. A young lady worked 4 days, called in sick Sunday and let go and they refuse to pay one of her days. They are also rude to employees as well. We will never go there again if thats how they treat people.

Benbrook stables is a very loveley place that has great instructors, trail rides, and amazing boarding. The horses are very well taken care of, and are always loved on. I have been riding horses for a very long time, and this is one of the best stables I have been to. I would very strongly recommend either sending your kid to a camp, boarding a horse, or going on a trail ride.

Benbrook is a well oiled machine that is tailor made for beginners. It was a solid experience overall.

I boarded my horses here for 2 year and it was great! They take really good care of there horses and others as well! They keep their facility very clean also! There trails are great too!

This is a great barn! I would definitely recommend trail rides and/or lessons! I’ve taken riding lessons with Tori and she is so helpful and so knowledgeable. It doesn’t matter what level of riding you’re at, she knows how to teach exactly where you need it! I love the atmosphere here, it’s relaxed and fun!

Prompt and professional. Staff very warm and welcoming. Horses are great. The trail is a total of one hour, and beautiful scenery.

We did a 1 hour trail ride. It was fun! The horses were all very well behaved and Eric was a great guide.

We scheduled a birthday trail ride with Tori as our guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of all staff, Toris leading & guiding, the horses, and the trail & scenery. A wonderful venture outside event for a couple of hours!

I have had the best riding experiences with this stable. Torri is an amazing instructor who was able to explain things to me in a way I could easily understand. Because of her, I have improved my riding abilities by leaps and bounds. I would DEFINITELY recommend that anyone wanting to learn about horses to start with these guys!! They are all awesome and very good prices.

We went on a trail ride with Matt as our wrangler. Everyone we encountered here was really friendly and helpful. We loved the experience and Matt made it a very easy going ride. My fiance didnt have a chance to tell Matt he was planning on purposing but Matt did a great job with going with the flow and being excited with us. It was a day we will not forget and we appreciate everyone at Benbrook Stables for making it an enjoyable ride.

Benbrook stables is my new favorite place! Me and my friends booked a trail ride and it was absolutely beautiful, All the horses are so sweet, and easy to ride! Our trail guide was very helpful and made getting back on a horse after many years very easy and smooth! I will definitely be going back soon!

This was a great experience for me, my family and friends The staff was nice, and the horses were patient and well trained. However this is my criticism. BEWARE.. my car was broken into and valuables stolen. Their camera system doesnt cover the entire parking lot, so dont leave anything of value in your car, leave it at home!!! Owners were apologetic however its unfortunate that no one saw or heard anything with such a small parking area

Just had our little ones birthday party at the Stables. His review was that is was The Best Birthday Party Ever! Horseback riding, hay rides, and a pony to pet. What more could a 6 year old ask for? The staff made everything effortless, fun and enjoyable for all of our guest. The stables is beautifully landscaped and maintained and the horses are exceptional. Cactus and Zoe are experts at taking care of little riders. This is a must birthday party if your little one likes horses. Just can not express how much fun we all had

Had the most BEAUTIFUL ride at Benbrook Stables! The guides were so helpful, considering it was my first time on a horse I felt very comfortable and loved my horse that I got to pick out. I went with a group of girlfriends but a definite must for families or people visiting the Fort Worth area wanting to get that TX experience!

There are not enough words or stars for me to say how wonderful this place is! We had my daughters party here and it was 100% worth every penny. She had the beat time. The weather was great, the horses were so calm. Overall a wonderful experience.

Went on a trail ride with my kiddos (teens) and it was great! They are super friendly and accommodating! Matt was our guide and he was super chill and helpful!

We have done lessons and camp. While my 5 year old enjoys it, some lessons were cut in half because the employees were not prepared on time and needed to turn around for the next lesson. When i signed up we were told she would learn more than riding. After, we were told there isnt time for anything other than riding unless we come early or stay late and find someone to show us a few things.As for horse camp, Id call it Daycare on a Ranch instead of camp. My daughter had fun but mostly played games non-horse related. She brushed a horse 1 of the 2 days and someone pointed out the parts on a horse. We really liked her being able to try bareback riding. We expected more instruction overall. Pickup was the most unnerving as I looked for a sign out table but all I found were the leaders eating their lunch and socializing together (not that I expect much from teenage spring break camp counselors but some adults would be nice).The bathrooms didnt have a lock, no soap and teenage boys are hanging around a camp full of mostly young girls. I did not ask the credentials of their camp counselors like I should have.

We love coming to Benbrook Stables, we brought our friends from Los Angeles and they had a true Texas experience! They loved taking selfies on the scenic trail rides, and even got pics in the fields of bluebonnets and wildflowers. All of us can’t wait to come back to Texas and Benbrook Stables!!

Ive taken my daughter to horse camp and on trail rides at the Benbrook Stables. Tori, the staff member leading the trail ride was very attentive to each rider and made sure it was a fun/safe experience for everyone. Horse camp was also a great experience for my daughter. She learned the fundamentals of horsemanship which included feeding, tacking up, and riding a horse. My daughter will continue to take lessons at the Benbrook Stables since it was such a great experience!

I came for a lesson, and was blown away by the aptitude of the instructors as well as the hospitality provided by the staff. They really made me feel right at home. The horses were very well trained and healthy, and the grounds were beautiful. I would recommend Benbrook Stables to anyone who is looking for a taste of the outdoors and an enjoyable encounter with horses.

Benbrook Stables provides a great venue for weddings and horseback riding. We had a wedding there in June and it was perfect. We could not have enjoyed it more.

I brought my wife trail riding for a date day, and we had a fantastic time! The trails were very nice, scenic, and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I know she is expecting me to bring her back soon, maybe for the two hour ride next time!

I have kept my horses at Benbrook Stables for over 9 years. In that time I have worked at the stables, and experienced it as a paying boarder. I would have to say that the review written by Daisy is the rant of a person who knows nothing about horses, but thinks she is an expert. We have watched her ride her little filly for months now, all the while cringing because the horse is far too little to be ridden. I have a horse who is the same age as her filly, and I would not dream of riding him yet, due to his size and age. Riding a horse as young and small as hers is like sending an 8 year old child to the weight room to lift heavy weights. Their bones arent completely formed and growth plates are not closed. Daisy is correct that futurity horses are started young, but this is why few of them have long careers. Many are retired to pasture by the time they are 12-15. If she was interested in showing her horse in a futurity, she should have taken her horse to a qualified trainer, instead of training her herself. There are a ton in the area. Everyone at the stables has watched Daisy put her horse in many dangerous or detrimental situations due to her lack of knowledge and common sense when it comes to horses.When she brought the horse in, she wanted to feed supplements and very little grain. She based this decision on her experience as a nurse and the advice of a pharmacist friend. You would never eat 300 calories a day and take tons of vitamins instead. This is just as bad for a horse as it would be for a human. Molly was able to convince her to feed the appropriate amount of grain her horse. For her to say that the horses are starving is honestly, comical. She was asking the stables to starve her horse, and they refused to do so. The horses are only allowed on the hay once a day, because it is for a 6-8 hour stretch. That is more than enough time to get all the hay that they need. When they are not on the hay, they have free range of a giant pasture filled with GRASS. I would challenge anyone to find a starving horse at Benbrook Stables.It is sad that someone feels the need to slander a great facility and fantastic people. Daisy did nothing but cause problems to the point that other boarders wanted nothing to do with her. The stables is an amazing place to board your horse, or come spend the day. I would not dream of boarding anywhere else.

A horse got out on 377 today and the people who work there are VERY RUDE!!! I call to complain and I ask for the owner to call me back and they never did! So I called them back and the lady that answered told me to check my messages! So I did and I didn’t not have one message from them. The reason I called was because I called a few choice names from a worker that was chasing the horse.

I absolutely loved Benbrooks trainers and horses! One thing I would want work on is to teach a bit more horsemanship during lessons. Other than that, great facilities!

We had both of our daughters birthday party here and we had a fantastic time. From riding the horses, to the bounce house and the hayride, all the kids forgot it was super hot! On a recent visit to Fort Worth, we took our 7-year old to Benbrook for a riding lesson. While our daughter is too young for riding trails, she (and we) had a fantastic experience. Although our daughter has limited experience with horses, within an hour she progressed from being led to the arena by the instructor (Eric), to riding solo. She was successfully riding around barrels and cones, stopping on command, trotting with good form, and truly controlling and communicating with her mount, a very well trained quarter horse.I must confess that Im not much of a rider, but I learned a lot just from watching my daughter and listening to Eric. Now that we are back in Portland (OR), we have revised our summer plans and are looking for someone like Eric to work with our daughter (and with me, so I have a chance at keeping up with her...)Thanks and appreciation to Benbrook and its employees, especially Eric.

Great Texas Experience. The staff is fun and outgoing. They made our trail ride a wonderful experience, and a great way to end our Texas trip. Stopped in on our way home from Granbury, and we are so glad we did. If you are not from Texas, it is a must. If you are from Texas, and dont have your own horse, you have to visit. .

Took my grandson today and it was way to hot for people or animals. I went in to ask for a bottle of cold water and the lady and some man started recording me and said there is a hose outside. All I wanted was water and the man said you have a drink in your hand. I purchased it 3 hours before. I just needed cold water and thanks to the girl in stables, probably saved me from having sroke. These people are awfull! Just want to say thank you to that girl. She was the only one that noticed I needed help.

Dropped of some kids for a senior party.The staff was incredibly rude and the idiots left containers in my car and stained the seat.One guy flashed a flashlight in my face and no one bothered to correct it.I guarantee I will never do business with them.

Benbrook Stables has amazing horses and great people. The place is gorgeous and everyone is so friendly.

The ladies there were very nice. But it was not a good experience. We were told they had trailer hook ups, which really ment an outlet you could plug an extension cord into . So we had to use our generator our entire stay. We parked where they told us to. Then later that evening (im assuming it was the owner) told us we would have to move bc they had parties coming all weekend and they needed the space. I made our reservation a month in advance . They should have told us from the beginning where we needed to park. Not wait 6 hours after we arrived and already set up camp. Then he had us back our very large trailer down a road through an 8ft gate in the dark. Where we were in standing water and mud. We were offered no assistance out of our tiny parking spot when we tried to leave. The stalls were ok but very muddy. There was also no light, so to muck out my stalls I had to use a flashlight even during the day. Trails sucked, the ones we could find anyway. Mostly they were all under water. Would not recommend for anyone with a large trailer.Response to the owner:Reply to your response:I parked where YOUR staff told me to when i checked in. Which was along the edge of your parking lot, not the middle. Set up camp, push outs set, leveled and got comfortable. Then at 8pm, in the dark you, made us close up our entire trailer and move because YOU needed more parking space for events that weekend. We would have been blocked in reguardless of where we parked and were blocked in at the drive you put plus in because of the gate. Then having to back through an 8ft gate with no light at all was just another nail in the coffin. Getting out wasnt better. You told us youd trim trees so they werent hitting our trailer because of where you made us park, and that also never happened.She did tell me she had a hook up and i needed an extension cord. But that isnt what a living quarter trailer needs to run. Which I specified in my emails. You have a single outlet, not 30amp. Plus you have to plug it in through a bathroom that people can trip over which is a terrible way to get electricity.Yes you do have skylights. That are completley covered in dirt and muck, and trees surrounding, which povide great shade.... But no light in the barn. So yes it was very difficult to see and I had to use flashlights to muck out stalls.Our stalls were not delievered dry. There were only 3 stalls available the day we got there, and i had to wait for those stalls. A lady leaving that day had to remove her horses before i could bring mine in. No cleaning by your staff was done whatsoever. So i would have loved to request a new one. But there werent any available, so i took what i had available to me and tried to make the best of it.The trails were covered in water. Thats not your fault. But if there were different trails we never found them. A map would be a nice gesture. Even the guided rides, from your facility we passed, were walking down the street. Not in a field of wild flowers.Ive traveled to 30 states on my horses, stayed in texas specifically 2x. And this is the first bad review Ive ever left anyone. That should tell you a little something. Take the criticism and learn from it.

Molly, the owner was very rude and disrespectful. Paid for a one-on-one lesson as advertised on their website and received a corny trail ride. When I called to ask why I was mislead, Molly chose to hang up on me because she doesnt have time for her customers. With the attitude shown by the staff, I will never again have my child attend any lesson or camp here.

I have personally boarded there and the lady owner she is rude she is mean and it seems like all she cares about money she snooty and if she doesnt get her way or someone pisses her off so tell them that they just have to leave also make them pay more money and in my opinion people like that should not be able to serve the public but I think shes all about the money she doesnt care she is not a good person to do business with
