Great CDL training program to attend. If you want to learn how to drive a semi truck & get some real life advice on how the trucking industry works I highly recommend the North Texas Institute. I went into this training program not knowing how to drive a semi truck. Mr. Lee & Mr. Bill had the knowledge & patience that I dont think I could have gotten from any other training program. I highly recommend going to this training program if you really want to learn how to drive & to get a real feel of how the trucking industry will be like.

In 2016 this driving school put me on the road to success. They taught me how to handle my vehicle, taught me about hours of service, how to properly pre trip, and followed up to make sure I kept a job. Im on my 2nd driving job. I pull tankers and run all over the US. Thank you North Texas Institute for career development.

My experience at North Texas Institute was amazing. I wanna thank Manager Lee Woods and all the instructors for there support and training, making sure I obtained my CDL license. I highly recommend anyone that is looking to get into the trucking industry to enroll in this course at North Texas Institute. They understand how important it is for each one of their students to obtain their CDL License and will be with you until you obtain it.Thank you so much Mr Lee, George, Charles and Bill for all that you do on a daily basis.

Lee woods, the director and trainer of this program is one of the worst instructors Ive ever come across. Very unprofessional! He wasted my time and every other students in the program. The program is supposed to be 7weeks. Get ready to lose 3-5 months of your life and feel like you gained nothing. He does not care if you get your cdl. But he gladly takes your $3500. SCAM

The CDL program here is great and the instructors will work with you the whole time to insure you know then entire Truck and Trailer and how to operate it. They also preach about the importance of safety. And they help find you a good job amongst obtaining your CDL!

I did not actually attend the training at this company. I was not able to get past the extremely rude customer service representative Percilla. I reached out to her for information about the school with some questions. After about three whole minutes of me asking her some questions, she finally told me to just attend a four hour orientation class that would answer my questions. I dont understand why someone who is supposed to be there to help people doesnt have time to help people. I could understand if it was a thirty minute phone call with hundreds of questions. We were on the phone for only three minutes. Why would this company except me to sit through a four hour orientation just to see if it is something I can afford or able to attend?

AVOID THIS PROGRAM......!!!Don’t waste your time going to this cdl program. If you want to go to a school that has no real curriculum and no organization then this is your school. The program is supposed to be 7 weeks but most people finish in 9 to 11 weeks or longer. The reason it takes so long to finish this program is because of poor planning and old equipment. I would suggest you find another cdl program that is much shorter and without all the headache. It’s disappointing that we have a school that treats their students like garbage and talks to them like you are an idiot. Lee Woods will tell you this is the best program in Dallas/Ft. Worth but that is a lie. If you do decide to take a chance and go here you have been warned!!!

I attended this school and received my CDL within the proper allotted time. This experience was humbling, frightening and one of the most rewarding all rolled up into one. I can honestly say that George, Bill and Charles were very courteous and informative to me. Mr.Lee is the Program Director, he is stern and a very matter of fact individual, he gives it to you straight NO chaser, everyone is not cut out for what is real, not even me on some days. The harsh reality is if you cant handle this school you cant handle the trucking industry. At the end of the day I learned everything I need to learn to be successful and I grew some thicker skin. I would recommend this school to a friend or family member who had a desire to be successful and the willingness to take responsibility for their own actions. No one school is for everybody but NTI worked for me.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this school. Because of Lee he is very unprofessional all he do is change cloths at work and he has altitude. I lost $680 refund check and he was the reason. He sent my check to an old address while I provided him my new address and some cashed my check. If someone else would be there I would recommend but that guy Lee is nasty and ignorant person so please don’t go there.

I graduated the program back in January and am shocked by some of these negative reviews. The course is 7 weeks long, and I will say mine did take longer than 7 weeks but we had holidays to work through and getting the DMV to give up appointment times.I am happy I attended here. I didnt want to attend a crash course just to get my CDL I wanted to actually learn to how to drive. Mr. Lee is someone who tells it like it is, so I can see how that could rub some people the wrong way. However, trust, if you cant handle him being direct with you, good luck with your traffic managers, shippers/receivers, brokers...I mean time is money and if you are wasting your time you are wasting everyones money. This school prepared me for alot of the real world truck driving situations. Also, they helped me get a job with a really good company in less than a week of me getting my license.Plain and simple, I would completely recommend NTI and this course if you actually want to learn how to drive a Semi and get your CDL. The instructors are Drivers themselves, they are supportive and will help you with anything they can...finding funding, extra class time if you need to work on something, finding your first job, and making sure you get in with a solid reputable company.
