The teachers and staff were extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly. They thoroughly answered any questions I had, especially during the clinical portion of the class. I took the 21 day AM course with Dr. Marilyn. This course was very informative and she taught the course very well. I actually think she was tougher on us then the examiner. The class size was very intimate so I felt like I got a lot of individualized attention. However I have to say the key to passing the exam is actually practicing. I was able to get a group of my classmates together and we practiced intensely before the state exam. Everyone in my group was able to pass on the first try despite us scheduling the exams 3 days after the end of the course.

In Summer 2019, I did a CNA program and was a great experience. I didnt have any problems with the admission process or during the entire program. Dr. Marilyn was our instructor, and she did a great job! She was very sweet, knew how to explain the material and skills, and took the time to call even after the program was over to make sure if we have passed the CNA test and were working. I was worried at first, since I didnt know what to expect, but it was a very pleasant experience. They are very professional and caring.

I attended this school for about 6 months for the Medical Assistant and the staff was more than supportive. They were thorough with what they taught and they really cared about what the students had to say when it came to any doubts that we had. I graduated in August of 2019 and the course was fantastic as they offered not only class work but also hands on training which really translated during the time of the externship. Great school with great staff definitely a place that helps you grow!

I graduated from the morning CNA program taught by Dr. Marilyn in summer 2019. The lecture portion of the course was very informative and well-organized. The hands-on portion of the course gave us hours of practice we needed as this is an accelerated program. The staff was very accommodating and allowed me come in and practice before my state board exam, even after completing the program. I was able to sit in on several of the night time classes and practice with the students there as well. These opportunities gave me the ability and confidence to improve my hands-on skills. The overall environment is super friendly and supportive. I was able to meet many classmates who made my experience there amazing. I recommend this college to anyone who is interested in getting into healthcare as they also offer several other programs.

I recently completed a certified nursing assistant program here and had an amazing experience. The staff is amazing and super helpful. You can tell that they genuinely want you to succeed and will do whatever they can help you get there. The program is also very affordable compared to many of the other NA programs in the bay area and is just as high quality of education as the programs with the big price tags. The class schedules are also very accommodating with a morning and evening option. I was able to easily concurrently go to my college classes as well as these classes without missing a single day. 5 of my classmates and I took the state board exam in the end of September together and we all passed, going in feeling very prepared. Overall, a great program and I would highly recommend it if youre considering going into nursing or want to become a nursing assistant.

I took there morning CNA program. Everyone in the facility is super friendly. It took me about one month to take the course because they kept on postponing the start date because they were waiting for more students to enroll but I am glad that I didnt go to another school. Taking their CNA course was the best decision that I could have done. Dr. Marylin was my instructor and she was amazing! Mr. Dell who works at the front office and registration was super kind and helpful. You will not regret coming here they do prepare you to be able to pass the State Exam. Also currently some of the friends that I made through the program are now my coworker.

I took the CNA program here, the Intructor and staff were great, the information for each module is provided and testing is a breeze. You literally have to just show up and listen and you’ll be successful. Oh and practice practice practice for state exam!!! I just wish they would update their practice equipment to match what is expected during state testing. Other than that it’s a great place to get Certified and out in the workplace!

I recently attended the evening program at MCC. I had a great instructor and a small class. All of the staff are very friendly and professional. During class we had some staffing agencies recruit students and offer us jobs. One of the instructors helped me set up an interview and I was offered a job at a sub-acute hospital 10min from my house before even graduating. My goal was to obtain direct patient care experience in preparation for college and I feel I have met my goal. I take the CNA state exam soon and feel well prepared. I highly recommend this school!

Medical Career College is a fantastic place to complete your education and get ahead in your career. I was able to complete my CNA couse, and BLS CPR certified, in as little as 4 weeks. With the support of helpful staffs and flexible lab rooms availability, I was able to pass my state exam on the first time without hardly any trouble. I felt more prepared than some of the other test takers, some of which are from the American Red Cross group, at the testing center. This college also have job connections around the bay area that are willing to hire new grads. Some of my classmates even got a job offer before they graduate. Give them a phone call if you don’t believe me !

I signed up for the CNA program and I did it to get certified so I could take care of my father cause he was very ill. I didnt even get a week thru the school and my dad ended up passing away. I wanted my money back and the school director insisted I finish the program cause I paid it in full. (Mind you my father just passed I was hitting a very bad financial situation) I switched over to MA cause I couldnt see myself doing CNA anymore. Comes to find out Wednesdays & Fridays we wont be in class due to one of our teachers having a family emergency. 3 days in the MA I went back to CNA just cause I was already in a financial situation and I couldnt afford the class. I tried to finish it but once I did my clinicals I just told the school I cant do it I came in this field for my father who is no longer here with us and now Im financially struggling I would like my money back. Outta 1400 the school director told me Ill give you 350. Outta 1400 you gotta be kidding me!! Im a single mother 350 isnt enough for my rent. Let alone to buy my babys needs. She is beyond VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She had the NERVE to tell me Ill give 500 just stop your yapping. I understand the school isnt doing so good the MA class is Negative in numbers. They could of at least gave me 700 outta 1400 I got 500 an I only took it cause I had a job interview that I ended up missing cause they took 30 min to get me a check.. my advice to anyone looking in this school DONT PAY IN FULL!! Pay attention to what they say to you even record it cause they switch up on their words and they never follow through with what they say.

From the very first contact and even after graduation you are and feel supported.Registration and getting started:Ms. Susan and Mr. Dell man the front desk, registration and anything else needed. They go above and beyond to help your experience be a smooth one.Ms. Susan is clear and concise in her instructions, all you need to do is pay attention.Regarding my learning experience in itself:I had the pleasure of having the school director has my theory instructor. Ms. Marilyn is a RN who has dedicated her time to train future healthcare professionals. Her theory classes are clear, concise and she is always available to answer any questions. I had no difficulty passing the module exam, final exam, and when exam day came at Red Cross I felt prepared and confident. I was awarded a Merit of Excellence along with another wonderful and inspiring colleague. I achieved this award through my own hard work and determination, but also because I had such a good teaching foundations and support! The practical portion:After the first 7 days of theory classes. You will have the opportunity to apply it at a clinical location. Like everywhere you have a 50-50 chance of working with great professionals and sometimes who encounter not so great professionals. If you are not happy with the person you have been assigned, ask your instructor to reassign you, he/she will happily do that. I had the pleasure to do my practical skills at a nursing facility with three wonderful CNAs.My clinical instructors where both wonderful and extremely knowledgable.Words of advise/encouragement:Take initiative from day one. If you dont know ask. If you feel like there is a missing part to a puzzle, figure out what it is.PRACTICE YOUR HEART OUT! REALLY PRACTICE NON-STOP running up to the exam. All the knowledge needed is given to either in written (book and guide) or verbally (skills demonstration, videos), so pay attention and you will do great!Opportunities:Various agencies will come to speak with your class throughout your program. You need to be proactive. You need to have your resume ready to go and make contact with the agencies. If you dont reach out, you will not magically get a job.Thank you MCC for your constant support and being my foundation and building block to my future career as an RN.
