Where can I begin... My wife and I have witnessed the admiration that our son has for Warrior Martial Arts Academy’s staff. It only took a week for us to see the improvement on his confidence. As well as his love for the sport/discipline. I would highly recommend them if your kids are having issues not only at school but even at home. The academy has given him a sense of dedication and appreciation for the discipline.

My son has been going there for about a year. The change in his behavior has been great! He is a ball of energy and they have found a way to harness that energy in a great way. He is more focused and listens so much better (not to mention his speed and strength has increased a ton). Warrior has been a great help for my little man and I have referred them multiple times to other parents that have had the same situation and will continue to do so. Thanks Warrior!

We have been at Warrior almost four months and look forward to being here for many many more. My two daughters, age 3 and age 5, have shown tremendous improvement not only on the mat but at home in our day to day lives as well. They are helpful and respectful and it has been a lot of fun watching them practice with each other around the house. Ms. Gill is a fantastic coach even with the littlest of littles. She is encouraging and direct and I love how she is able to command respect from my girls without being a scary presence. Joining Warrior has definitely been a great choice for our family. The girls are getting a lot of good physical activity throughout the week and have gained so much confidence and self-respect. Looking forward to seeing them grow through the coming years.

I enrolled my two younger kids (7 and 9 yo) two years ago when I was looking for a martial arts academy to help my daughter deal with bullying in school and I am glad I did it. She is doing great and martial arts has definitely helped her to feel more confident. I recently enrolled my oldest son as well who is a teenager dealing with anxiety. My kids love to be part of the Warrior Martial Arts family.

My son has attended Warrior Martial Arts for three years now . I am so glad that I started him as young as I did at the age of 2 1/2 years old . Over time the coaches have modeled him from the littlest one of the bunch to having endurance, manners and the ability to take on anything no matter the amount or size. I am very pleased with his ability to never give up and keep pushing for greatness. The owners as well as the coaches have given nothing but positive feedback that they could see the excitement and growth with him over time as well which means a lot when he wants nothing more than to make everyone proud of him . I would definitely refer warrior to anyone that is wanting growth for their kids to build confidence and wanting a family that cares.

Our family is involved in all the classes, and couldnt love it more! Everyone is so amazing, and they show you HOW to do everything, not just throw you in a class and expect you to know what to do. The instructors are very hands on with every student, regardless of age, rank or ability. I feel like they truly want every student to be successful. I can tell each instructor is passionate about WMA, and not just running a business or collecting a check. They make us feel like were family!

Our daughters have been students at this martial arts academy for about 3 1/2 years, and in this time they have, no doubt, grown in their martial arts skills. The greatest accomplishment, however, goes beyond the strength and skill set they may now possess. It lies in their self-discipline and confidence they carry with them off of the mat. They are both poised to test for their black belts this summer. Effort, determination, hard work, commitment, pride; all of these attributes have led them to this point. They would not, however, have been successful without the leadership, encouragement, guidance, and teachings from all of their incredible instructors at Warrior Martial Arts. We couldnt be happier with the journey our girls have taken with this academy over the years!

Both of our sons have been taking Mixed Martial Arts at Warrior Martial Arts for several years now and we cant say enough good things about the entire staff and their program. While the goals for each are different, I know they are both receiving the best training possible while the instructors instill the necessary skills for them to become leaders that display discipline, confidence and respect in any situation. Both boys have grown so much while at Warrior. They are much more confident and respectful, and have improved their overall athletic abilities across a number of different sports. The staff works really hard to come up with fun and creative ways to keep all the students engaged, so much so I have a feeling the kids often dont even know thats what they are doing. Best of all, Warrior Martial Arts is creating a family environment where our boys have created lifelong friends through the various social activities offered to us.

Our ten-year-old daughter has been with Miss Pam and Warrior Martial Arts -- counting summers -- longer than she has been in elementary school. She took to Miss Pam and her martial arts programs beginning with her fifth birthday party (held at the Frisco school), and rose through the belt ranks through Black Belt to First Degree Black Belt, which she holds currently. Our daughter has benefitted immensely from her time at Warrior Martial Arts. She has not only learned how to defend herself and others appropriately, but she has also absorbed Warrior Martial Arts’ emphasis on Black Belt discipline and respect for others and herself. The instructors are the kind of role models we are proud for our daughter to have. The training program has helped her develop agility, endurance and physical strength, while the competitive offerings (tournaments) have taught her confidence and tenacity. We’ve come to feel like Warrior Martial Arts’ Frisco location (in particular the waiting area) is our local home away from home, and we appreciate all that Miss Pam and her staff (Miss Gill and Mr. Christen) have done for our daughter. We’d recommend Warrior Martial Arts to anyone who asks.

In fact, 0/5. Must stay away from them. They try to get you into contract for a year and then you are trapped if you wont cancel in time being auto renewal. Other competitors for them has better schedules and no contract.

Review №48

My dissatisfaction with Warrior Martial Arts is the way they handle your account. When you sign up, you are locked-in to a 6 month agreement. They sell your account to another company ~ Hatboro ~ who charges you. You cant get out of the 6 months unless you move or have a disability. 6 months is a long time to wait it out & pay $298/mo (for 3 kids ~ the 3rd kid is free) when your kids arent enjoying it. After about a month or two, they recommend you move up to a yellow belt. The belt testing fee is $55/child + $300/child for the advanced classes and the sparring equipment. We didnt want to pay this for 3 kids so weve had to remain in the basic class for 6 months. They do a good job teaching Martial Arts, but I wouldve rather known all of this up front, before I signed them up. They are not clear on this part... We also moved to the Little Elm location, the classes were smaller and the manager seemed less salesy. Hope this helps others!

Predatory, auto renewal programs will bite you - if you have given your credit card number to them, they will put you on auto renewal, charge you, act smart and not pay you back. Though I had told that my daughter might not continue after 6 months and I did not want auto renewal, they still went ahead and put me on auto renewal and have charged me. we have not used them for them for the last 4 months, but, still they have charged us and do not want to pay the money back. have raised the issue with my credit card company and also other forums. please review the contracts you sign with them!! watch out!!

My 8 year old son has been a student of WMA for four years now. Through the training, discipline and leadership skills he receives, we have seen him grow so much in these four years. He started as a shy little kid afraid to really speak out to a confident leader not only in his martial arts class, but also at school and with his friends. This is what separates WMA from the other schools out there - they are molding Warriors, shaping our kids into leaders instead of followers. As an 8 year old, my son has the confidence not just stand up for himself but for others as well. This is not just an activity he attends a few times a week but a positive way of life. He looks forward to his training and has so much respect and love for the instructors. Truly a great place to be a part of.

As you put more in, you get more out, nobody is going to do the work for you but once you commit the sky is the limit. I dont know where to begin. This school is a wonderful place for both my boys and myself to learn and refine our skills. Both of my boys absolutely love the instructors at the academy that take the necessary time and even at times take additional time to refine their skills in the arts they are teaching. Mr. Wiggs does a wonderful job as does coach Gill. My boys look forward to going every day they can. I cannot express just how lucky this academy is to have such fine and caring instructors that truly walk the walk when it comes to the arts they are teaching.Personally for me as an adult...I find the fact that parents train for free refreshing. I found BJJ in 2007 and have been a practitioner on and off since due to moving around and not being able to find the right school. I knew the moment I met Coach Gill that I had found my home at Warrior to learn and continue BJJ. Coach Gill got my confidence to the point that I even felt like I could compete for the first time in many years. I did well and took away many learning points. I am enjoying my learning journey under Coach Gill as are my boys.Bottom line. This is more than a school. This is a family. The staff truly cares for the kids giving individual attention where needed and sometimes they give it just because. The staff know me and my kids personally and take the time to make sure that everything is going well both in school and at home and not just at the gym. I do not have enough kind words to say about the entire staff. This is more than just a gym for your kids, it is a family that emphasizes, kindness, respect and discipline. I have seen noticeable changes in my boys since their starting at Warrior. I am truly impressed and I know that you will be too.
