A lot of positives. I wish we had started younger, but great program for young kids to get in and learn an instrument and be a part of something. Very flexible to move around instruments while students discover their passion. Frisco location is awesome from instructors to management.

We love School of Rock Frisco! The staff is amazing! They make it such a positive and fun experience for my daughter, and they are so helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. My daughter has made some great progress on drums in her 2 years since she started the program, and she had never even played before. Her time there has been great for her self confidence, and she has made some great friends. I would recommend School of Rock Frisco to everyone.

Our son has been in SOR for almost 4 years now. Went from zero to advanced drummer thanks to his instructors Tim and Lucas. We find SOR Frisco even better than Plano! The band directors and people there are fantastic and are great with kids in the way they treat and talk to the kids. Keep up the great work! Just wish wed get past wearing the mask thing! It has drastically changed the environment we once knew. Kids dont get to know each other as well because they cant just go sit and hang and talk when they arent playing during practice.

The progress my son has made is incredible. The teachers know how to encourage, be patient, and when it’s time to to tell the little musicians to work harder. The staff is incredibly helpful and anticipate our questions and needs.

Great school!! They have bands and performances it is so cool and really motivating the kids to practice at home and love playing... my 8 years old boy started with keyboards and then switched to drums and sometimes he is singing.. the band is all about learning how to play different songs and each song they give the kids different role if they want play different instruments or sing... whe goes there twice a week one time for a private class in which he learns new things and works on the different songs that he needs to know for his band and the other classs is a 75 minutes band rehearsal in which they all practice together on their songs... every 3-4 month they have a show, last show was in the park for Halloween and it was Amazing we had so much fun, they had a Big stage, great sound and a lots of fun!! I really recommend this school they are truly Rock!!!!

Great program for kids and adults alike. We (parents) both are in adult band and our 16-year old has been playing for 2 years+ and just loves it. Her love of music has grown 10-fold, and she is now a multi-instrument rocker chick :) We love the instructors and the approach.

If you’re looking for a place to learn how to play wonderful instruments quickly, efficiently, and meet new friends who you can have fun and enjoy your time with, you just found the right place! Not only does this place teach children, but it also teaches toddlers, teens and adults how to play as well. Also, the teachers here are not your average, boring teachers. No! The teachers are not only beneficial to the students learning experience, but they are also very uplifting, encouraging, and just straight up fun to be around. As someone who had left my band just a little bit more than a year ago to focus more on schoolwork, I wish I had never made that decision. I went there for a year, and I felt like I was living a dream that I had never expected for the better. Also, I know that School of Rock is different with COVID-19, but according to my friend it’s not much different to how it was before, except there having to be a screen between the student and teacher. Honestly, I’d do anything to encourage my parents to let me go back to school of rock.

Where to begin?! We love absolutely everything about our SoR experience!! But I do have to say that the staff/employees - Maddie, Conner, Anthony, Collin, Marisa, and so many others! - are really the ones who truly make School of Rock Frisco what it is. Not only are they unmatched in their musical skill, knowledge, passion, and acumen, but they are highly invested in making sure ALL their students feel like they have a family/home at School of Rock. Inclusion and warmth are the words that come to mind.Yes, they ensure that students learn important basics, some solid music theory foundations, advance in the skill of their chosen instrument, and get to play fun music that both students and parents know and love. But even more so, it is clear to me (as someone with background in Child Development/Psychology) that each and every staffer is extensively trained in creating for our kiddos a fun, warm, safe, welcoming place to go for their lessons each week, while also providing and modeling musical discipline, guidance, encouragement, and feedback/critique for each growing musician. We cant say enough good things about our experience so far, and we cant wait to see how our kids grow and learn musically at this school in the years to come.

I love our daughters teacher Anthony Brown and the time he takes to explain things to her. He knows how to communicate with her so that she will listen and absorb what he is saying. He is always very positive, approachable, and has a smile on his face. He gives us direction on how to practice at home and keep it fun. We dont need therapy because we have School of Rock and Anthony. We also love our band teachers Jade and Ethan. They are also very positive and friendly and Lydia enjoys being in band with them. You can tell they care and take their job as these kids mentors seriously while having fun doing it. We also wouldnt be as happy with SOR without Alex and Maddie at the front desk. They are awesome and keep it real. Alex constantly helps me figure out my log in, performance schedule, etc. He is so helpful and always responds immediately. Maddie helped my daughter overcome her fear at karaoke night and since then she is a fan favorite. We LOVE School of Rock!

Our son attended School of Rock in Rogers, Arkansas and when I was relocated to The Dallas, TX area this SOR was recommended to us. What can I say, Maddie was awesome, she made the transition for our son seamless and this group welcomed us with open arms. Every interaction has seen awesome and we can’t wait for the concert!

My daughter has been attending School of Rock in Frisco, Texas for five years now. She started out on vocals, then begged me to let her play the drums. I agreed. But it didnt stop there! My daughter has now mastered playing drums, keyboards, bass guitar and acoustic guitar, as well as vocals. School of Rock allows her to play all of these instruments during the concerts that students perform throughout each year. It has been absolutely amazing to see her personality pop and blossom and she transformed herself into quite the musician. My daughter LOVES School of Rock. She tells me that it is her life source and she would die without it! Her self confidence has exploded. When she first started, the reason she wanted to be on drums is because she was too shy to be up front and being on the drums, people couldnt easily see her. Now, she LOVES being front and center, along with all of the compliments she receives from teachers, fellow musicians, and parents. Being at School of Rock has also allowed my daughter to mentor others and assist with teaching other students. School of Rock has definitely been a great experience - all around - for my daughter. I would highly recommend this music school. It is not your typical, stuffy, learn your scales, old school music lessons (like I had growing up). School of Rock is a life changing experience. The teachers are all professional musicians who are in bands that actually write, record and tour. Not only do the kids learn how to play and master their instruments, they learn music theory. They learn what it takes to be in a band. How to put on a concert. How to promote themselves and what it is like to be a musician. They experience wonderful opportunities to showcase their talents by performing at great venues. Every child that has a passion for music should be given the opportunity to attend School of Rock.

Absolutely the best music experience ever! The kids not only learn from their instructors, but, if they take band, they have an opportunity to perform onstage with their band mates and instructors. The management and instructors are encouraging, supportive, and cooperative in every aspect of the learning process, all the while giving the students the self confidence to perform. Six stars, not five.

Students are able to practice and rehearse together to prepare for authentic rock shows in music venues. Also, excellent instructors are available to teach the music and guide the student in a relaxed environment. New students can go from no music skills to Rockstars in a very short amount of time! A wide variety of music genres are available each season to appeal to all students and levels.

My son is six and in the Rookies program, and he always raves about his time with his instructor when we leave. He lights up when he talks about what he is learning, and reassures me that making mistakes are okay. I love that he is being taught that making mistakes, or not being perfect, is part of the learning process. Nowadays kids are pushed to excel in sports, academics, or music at an unrealistic rate. Youth is about finding what you are passionate about and growing. I am so happy that School of Rock has helped my son find his passion. They also have very kind instructors who have great taste in music. Its always exciting to talk about songs that my son is learning in lessons. I absolutely love that School of Rock has this program for little ones! Its a great intro to a world of possibilities!

If you are uncertain if your child has rhythm or ability to learn an instrument, highly suggest beginning here - especially if young. They have a Kinder-Rock program age 4-6 which introduces the kids to all instruments and vocals. From there, instructor provides feedback on what your child could possibly play bc shows ability to do so - not just interest. Our daughter began there at age 6 and has experienced the best musical education plus exposure. She loves playing drums and her instructor is so talented that he pushes her in drums but it is fun at the same time. Then, he recently also stated that he thought she could do guitar as well. Loved that he has broadened our daughters abilities. Additionally, playing music does not have to be a solo experience but they have the band experience there where you learn how to play and interact with other kids in the band. Then, they perform! Our now 9 year old daughter has performed at Deep Ellum and House of Blues plus some local bar & grills. Unbelievable experiences and fun. They also have management there that want to make a difference for your musically inclined child. This is the best money for us to spend for our child!

SOR is a very relevant and engaging way to establish and keep kids interested in the music arts. The program is fun so the students really enjoy learning and socializing with their peers. In addition to lessons and opportunities to showcase ability, the program is the best I have seen at instilling confidence and building the life skill to competently speak/perform in front of an audience. The Instructors and Management are super talented, have passion for what they do, and take pride in teaching the future rockers. I would give a 10+ if I could as my son loves SOR Frisco.

School of Rock has exceeded all my expectations. I am absolutely impressed by how quickly students learn and gain confidence in their instrument and performing. The Rock 101 program takes students from lessons to band rehearsals in the same week. Students work collaboratively and learn the value of teamwork. The students get to perform in front of live audiences and thats what really sets this school apart from the rest. I enjoy watching the kids take risks and show off their skills at the end of Season shows Or showcases. The band teachers and instructors are patient and knowledgeable. They understand kids by playing their strengths while Working on their weaknesses. The staff is personable, welcoming and helpful. Ive watched my daughter blossom in just a few short months. Shes starting her second season and really looks forward to going to her SOR band practices and lessons. She loves it there!! I highly recommend School of Rock Frisco to anyone who wishes to watch their child learn, blossom and gro w in the true meaning of music education, teamwork, and the magic of Rock.
