My son was enrolled at the Gahanna Sunny Day Academy from ages 3-15 months. We were not happy with the experience at this location and removed him immediately without having a daycare on reserve. The top two reasons for the swift removal: staff not providing our son with his water bottle (despite our request to provide due to an issue that required him to drink extra fluids) and constant dirty diapers at pickup which caused a massive diaper rash.Other frustrations include: we constantly received other children’s bottles and eating utensils despite all items being labeled (a requirement of Sunny Day)The daily report was never accurate therefore we did not have visibility into what and how much he was eating, drinking, naps, diaper changes, etc. This was incredibly important to us as our son was constantly sick thus requiring extra fluids and rest.As stated above our son was constantly sick, and while I know that is to be expected with daycare babies, the cleanliness of the location was subpar which made us feel they were not sanitizing the location well.We were told all parents and staff were required to wear a mask to enter the building regardless of vaccination status. This was poorly executed. I was told by one staffer that I was not allowed in the building because I had forgot my mask (understood) yet the employee’s mask was on her chin and another staffer walked by without a mask.The turnover rate was incredibly high so our son seemed to have a different caretaker every week. I understand all businesses are struggling with staffing however I was a little uneasy about the new hires as they looked disheveled and unprofessional. Plus, high turnover at the director level including some who were let go (don’t know the background).Sunny Day’s pricing is comparable to other facilities but the experience, learning agenda, professionalism is not. I highly encourage parents to continue to research other locations before committing to Sunny Day.

The best place to trust caregivers to not only take care of your child, but also educate them and progress them as they grow. This daycare takes photos and and notes throughout the day of your child, and sends you the daily activities your child is in, which is amazing because I know exactly what my child did today.Sunny day is the best choice.

Great friendly staff and super great environment. My daughter has been going for over a couple of months and so far they have been very accommodating. The Tadpoles app is super helpful and the fact that they were willing to learn how to do our cloth diapers earned them 5 stars alone.

Sunny Day Academy is one of the best child care and preschool options in Columbus. The facilities for all three locations are clean, colorful and have plenty of space for the kids to play. They understand the need for great curriculum and having fun at the same time. I have been consistently impressed with SDA and the teachers who truly care about each child! I would recommend Sunny Day Academy to any of my friends or family who want a quality child care preschool center.

So many changes in less than a year from staff to curriculum. With every change I had hoped for a positive outcome but have been disappointed. I don’t like to shuffle my children from center to center but unfortunately Sunny day is not up to my standards for my children anymore.

My son has been going to this School for more than a year now. So far the experience has been wonderful. He is always excited to go to school and loves all his teachers.

My daughter is in toddler class and we absolutely love her teachers! All the teachers here are loving and very friendly. My daughter started attending SDA Gahanna from past 3 months and I can already see a lot of good changes in her. Highly recommend!

Great staff, awesome environment, always felt comfortable leaving my kid at Sunny Day Academy Gahanna.

This is a well ran and organized day care. It looks extravagant. Wish the pricing was a little lower but the services are there.

Very disappointed!!Not at all what I thought a daycare should be....Don’t recommend!
